A

NOTICE!

To prevent the risk of short circuits, always disconnect the negative

terminal of the vehicle's electrical system before working on it.

If the vehicle has an additional battery, its negative terminal should also be

disconnected.

Please observe the following instructions:

• When working on the following cables, only use insulated cable lugs, plugs and

flat push-on receptacles:

– 30 (direct supply from positive battery terminal)

– 15 (connected positive terminal, behind the battery)

– 31 (return line from the battery, earth)

– L (indicator lights left)

– R (indicator lights right)

Do not use terminal strips.

• Use a crimping tool to connect the cables.

• When connecting to cable 31 (earth), screw the cable

– to the vehicle's earth bolt with a cable lug and a gear disc or

– to the sheet-metal bodywork with a cable lug and a self-tapping screw.

Ensure that there is a good earth connection.

If you disconnect the negative terminal of the battery, all data stored in the volatile

memories will be lost.

• The following data must be set again, depending on the vehicle equipment

options:

–Radio code

– Vehicle clock

–Timer

– On-board computer

– Seat position

You can find instructions for making these settings in the appropriate operating

instructions.

Observe the following installation instructions:

CAUTION!

• Secure the parts installed in the vehicle in such a way that they cannot

become loose under any circumstances (sudden braking, accidents)

and cause injuries to the occupants of the vehicle.

• Secure any parts of the system covered by the bodywork in such a

manner that they cannot be come loose or damage other parts and

cables or impair vehicle functions (steering, pedals, etc).

• Always follow the safety instructions of the vehicle manufacturer.

Some work (e.g. on retention systems such as the AIRBAG etc.) may

only be performed by qualified specialists.

• To prevent damage when drilling, make sure there is sufficient space

on the other side for the drill head to come out.

• Deburr all drill holes and treat them with a rust-protection agent.

Observe the following instructions when working with electrical parts:

NOTICE!

• When testing the voltage in electrical cables, only use a diode test

lamp or a voltmeter.

Test lamps with an illuminant take up voltages which are too high and

which can damage the vehicle's electronic system.

• When making electrical connections, ensure that:

– they are not kinked or twisted

– they do not rub on edges

– they are not laid in sharp edged ducts without protection.

• Insulate all connections.

• Secure the cables against mechanical wear with cable binders or insu-

lating tape, for example to existing cables.

4Accessories

Available as accessories (not included in the scope of delivery):

5 Intended use

MagicLock ML22 (Item number 9600000682) and MagicLock ML44 (Item number

9600000683) are central locking systems for retrofits. The vehicle doors are auto-

matically locked when the driver or passenger door is locked.

6 Technical description

The vehicle doors are automatically locked by using servomotors on the driver or

passenger door. The central locking systems are designed for vehicles with linkage

locking systems.

MagicLock ML22 consists of two servomotors (5-pin, Master) for installation in the

driver and passenger door. MagicLock ML44 has two additional servomotors (2-pin,

Slave) for the two rear vehicle doors.

7 Installing the central locking system

7.1 Removing the door panelling

➤ Unscrew all the door panelling screws.

➤ Remove the window winder and arm rest, if present.

➤ Remove the door panelling.

7.2 Installing servomotors

See fig. 2

➤ Thread the metal hook (2) into the eye (3) of the servomotor.

➤ Bend the metal hook (2) so that it connects with the locking pin (4) without diffi-

culty.

➤ Fasten the servomotor with the drill template(fig. 4) or directly to the door body

with one of the perforated rails provided.

➤ Install the door according to the design; version A, B (without door locking but-

ton) or version C, D (with door locking button).

➤ Move the servomotor and the locking button into the “unlocked” position and

adjust the terminal blocks (1) on the metal hooks (2). Nip off the pin protrusion.

NOTE

If you do not have sufficient technical knowledge to install and connect

the components in vehicles, you should have a specialist install the cen-

tral locking system in your vehicle.

NOTE

Select a convenient position for the servomotors close to the locking pin

that connects the locking button with the door lock. The movement

direction of servomotor and locking pin should run parallel and one after

the other as much as possible.

NOTICE!

Ensure that the window panel and the window regulator mechanism do

not touch the servomotor when opening and closing.

➤ Completely retract the servomotor.

➤ Close the door locking mechanism.

➤ Connect the metal hook to the linkage of the opening mechanism using the ter-

minal block.

7.3 Installing the control unit

See fig. 5

➤ Select a suitable installation location.

➤ Remove the covering to the left of the steering wheel.

➤ Stick the control unit under the dashboard.

➤ Install the control unit

– In the vehicle interior

– Under the dashboard

– Not in areas where strong electrical fields could cause interference, e.g. igni-

tion cables or central control electronics.

➤ Plug the cable set into the control unit.

7.4 Connecting the central locking system

See fig. 6

➤ If no opening or drill hole is available on the head side of the door, drill a hole

approximately 9 mm in size.

➤ Insert the cable bushing sleeves.

➤ Lay the control wires for the door lock servomotors from the interior of the vehicle

via the cable bushing sleeves into the doors.

• A: Length of cable set from plug to battery = 3000 mm

• B: Length of cable set from plug to front doors = 2800 mm

• C: Length of cable set from plug to back doors = 4800 mm

➤ Connect the red cable on the cable set (+12 V) with the positive terminal of the

battery terminal block.

➤ Connect the black cable on the cable set to a suitable earth point on the body-

work.

➤ Connect the control wires to the matching colours on the servomotors.

7.5 Performing a function test

➤ Perform a function test. If this test is not successful, adjust the position of the ter-

minal block on the linkage of the opening mechanism.

➤ Put all panelling back where it was originally.

ACHTUNG!

Klemmen Sie wegen der Kurzschlussgefahr vor Arbeiten an der Fahrzeug-

elektrik immer den Minuspol ab.

Bei Fahrzeugen mit Zusatzbatterie müssen Sie an dieser ebenfalls den

Minuspol abklemmen.

Beachten Sie deshalb folgende Hinweise:

• Verwenden Sie bei Arbeiten an den folgenden Leitungen nur isolierte Kabel-

schuhe, Stecker und Flachsteckhülsen:

– 30 (Eingang von Batterie Plus direkt)

– 15 (Geschaltetes Plus, hinter Batterie)

– 31 (Rückleitung ab Batterie, Masse)

– L (Blinkerleuchten links)

– R (Blinkerleuchten rechts)

Verwenden Sie keine Lüsterklemmen.

• Verwenden Sie eine Krimpzange zum Verbinden der Kabel.

• Schrauben Sie das Kabel bei Anschlüssen an Leitung 31 (Masse)

– mit Kabelschuh und Zahnscheibe an eine fahrzeugeigene Masseschraube

oder

– mit Kabelschuh und Blechschraube an das Karosserieblech.

Achten Sie auf eine gute Masseübertragung!

Beim Abklemmen des Minuspols der Batterie verlieren alle flüchtigen Speicher der

Komfortelektronik ihre gespeicherten Daten.

• Folgende Daten müssen Sie je nach Fahrzeugausstattung neu einstellen:

–Radiocode

–Fahrzeuguhr

– Zeitschaltuhr

– Bordcomputer

– Sitzposition

Hinweise zur Einstellung finden Sie in der jeweiligen Bedienungsanleitung.

Beachten Sie folgende Hinweise bei der Montage:

VORSICHT!

• Befestigen Sie die im Fahrzeug montierten Teile so, dass sie sich unter

keinen Umständen (scharfes Abbremsen, Verkehrsunfall) lösen und zu

Verletzungen der Fahrzeuginsassen führen können.

• Befestigen Sie verdeckt unter Verkleidungen anzubringende Teile des

Systems so, dass sie sich nicht lösen oder andere Teile und Leitungen

beschädigen und keine Fahrzeugfunktionen (Lenkung, Pedale usw.)

beeinträchtigen können.

• Beachten Sie immer die Sicherheitshinweise des Fahrzeugherstellers.

Einige Arbeiten (z. B. an Rückhaltesystemen wie Airbag usw.) dürfen

nur von geschultem Fachpersonal durchgeführt werden.

ACHTUNG!

• Achten Sie beim Bohren auf ausreichenden Freiraum für den Bohrer-

austritt, um Schäden zu vermeiden.

• Entgraten Sie jede Bohrung und behandeln Sie diese mit Rostschutz-

mittel.

Beachten Sie folgende Hinweise bei der Arbeit an elektrischen Teilen:

ACHTUNG!

• Benutzen Sie zum Prüfen der Spannung in elektrischen Leitungen nur

eine Diodenprüflampe oder ein Voltmeter.

Prüflampen mit einem Leuchtkörper nehmen zu hohe Ströme auf,

wodurch die Fahrzeugelektronik beschädigt werden kann.

• Beachten Sie beim Verlegen der elektrischen Anschlüsse, dass diese

– nicht geknickt oder verdreht werden,

– nicht an Kanten scheuern,

– nicht ohne Schutz durch scharfkantige Durchführungen verlegt

werden.

• Isolieren Sie alle Verbindungen und Anschlüsse.

• Sichern Sie die Kabel gegen mechanische Beanspruchung durch

Kabelbinder oder Isolierband, z. B. an vorhandenen Leitungen.

4Zubehör

Als Zubehör erhältlich (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten):

5 Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch

MagicLock ML22 (Art.-Nr. 9600000682) und MagicLock ML44 (Art.-Nr.

9600000683) sind Zentralverriegelungen zum Nachrüsten. Beim Verschließen der

Fahrer- oder Beifahrertür werden automatisch die Fahrzeugtüren verriegelt.

6 Technische Beschreibung

Durch den Einsatz von Stellmotoren an der Fahrer- oder Beifahrertür werden auto-

matisch die Fahrzeugtüren verriegelt. Die Zentralverriegelungen sind ausgelegt für

Fahrzeuge mit Gestänge-Schließsystem.

MagicLock ML22 besteht aus zwei Stellmotoren (5-polig, Master) für den Einbau in

Fahrer- und Beifahrertür. MagicLock ML44 hat zusätzlich zwei Stellmotoren (2-polig,

Slave) für die zwei hinteren Fahrzeugtüren.

7.1 Türverkleidung entfernen

➤ Drehen Sie alle Schrauben der Türverkleidung heraus.

➤ Entfernen Sie, falls vorhanden, Fensterkurbel und Armlehne.

➤ Entfernen Sie die Türverkleidung.

7.2 Stellmotoren montieren

Siehe Abb. 2

➤ Fädeln Sie den Metallhaken (2) in die Öse (3) des Stellmotors.

➤ Biegen Sie den Metallhaken (2) so zurecht, dass er sich problemlos mit der

Verriegelungsstange (4) verbinden lässt.

➤ Befestigen Sie den Stellmotor mit der Bohrschablone (Abb. 4) oder direkt mit

einer der beiliegenden Lochschienen am Türkörper.

➤ Montieren Sie je nach Ausführung der Tür gemäß Variante A, B (ohne Türverrie-

gelungsknopf) oder Variante C, D (mit Türverriegelungsknopf).

➤ Bewegen Sie den Stellmotor und den Verriegelungsknopf in die Position „Entrie-

gelt“ und justieren Sie die Klemmblöcke (1) auf den Metallhaken (2). Den Über-

stand der Stange abkneifen.

Wenn Sie nicht über ausreichende technische Kenntnisse für das

Einbauen und Anschließen von Komponenten in Fahrzeugen verfügen,

sollten Sie sich die Zentralverriegelung von einem Fachmann ins Fahr-

zeug einbauen lassen.

HINWEIS

Wählen Sie eine günstige Position für die Stellmotoren in der Nähe der

Verriegelungsstange, die den Verriegelungsknopf mit dem Türschloss

verbindet. Die Bewegungsrichtung von Stellmotor und Verriegelungs-

stange sollte möglichst parallel und hintereinander verlaufen.

➤ Fahren Sie den Hub des Stellmotors komplett ein.

➤ Schließen Sie den Verriegelungsmechanismus der Tür.

➤ Verbinden Sie den Metallhaken mit Hilfe des Klemmblocks am Gestänge des

Öffnungsmechanismus.

7.3 Steuergerät montieren

Siehe Abb. 5

➤ Wählen Sie einen geeigneten Montageort.

➤ Entfernen Sie die Verkleidung links vom Lenkrad.

➤ Kleben Sie das Steuergerät unter die Armatur.

➤ Montieren Sie das Steuergerät

– im Fahrgastinnenraum,

– unter dem Armaturenbrett,

– nicht im Einflussbereich starker elektrischer Felder, z. B. Zündleitungen oder

Zentralsteuerelektronik.

➤ Stecken Sie den Stecker des Kabelsatzes in das Steuergerät.

7.4 Zentralverriegelung anschließen

Siehe Abb. 6

➤ Falls an der Kopfseite der Tür keine Öffnung oder Bohrung vorhanden ist, bohren

Sie ein ca. 9 mm großes Loch.

➤ Setzen Sie die Kabeldurchführungstüllen ein.

➤ Verlegen Sie die Steuerleitungen für die Stellmotoren der Türverriegelungen

vom Fahrzeuginnenraum über die Kabeldurchführungstüllen in die Türen.

ACHTUNG!

Achten Sie darauf, dass Fensterscheibe und Mechanismus des Fenster-

hebers beim Öffnen und Schließen nicht vom Stellmotor berührt wer-

den.
