appliance.

You have selected a high-quality product.

The operating instructions are part of this product.

They contain important information on safety, usage

and disposal. Before using the product, familiarise

yourself with all handling and safety guidelines.

Use the product only as described and for the range

of applications speciﬁ ed. Please also pass these

operating instructions on to any future owner.

Intended use

The steam iron is intended exclusively for the ironing

of textiles. The iron may only be used indoors and

in domestic households. All other use is deemed to

be improper use. It is not suitable for commercial

use!

Safety instructions

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!

► The voltage of the power source must conform to the details given on

the type plate of the appliance.

► In order to avoid potential risks, arrange for defective appliances to be

checked and possibly repaired by qualiﬁ ed technicians, or contact our

customer service department.

► To prevent accidents, have defective plugs and/or power cables

replaced immediately by an authorised specialist technician or our

customer service department.

► When disconnecting the appliance from the power source, pull only

on the plug itself, never on the cable.

► Never bend (kink) or crush the power cable, always route it in such a

way that it cannot come into contact with hot surfaces and such that

no one can step on or trip over it.

► Remove the plug from the mains power socket after every usage,

before cleaning the appliance and when reﬁ lling the appliance with

water.

► Always unroll the power cable fully before switching on and do not

use an extension cable.

► Never touch the power cable or the plug with wet hands.

► Never use the steam iron adjacent to water contained in a bath, shower,

wash basin or other vessels. Water in the proximity of the appliance is

hazardous, even if the appliance is switched oﬀ .

► Under no circumstances should you submerge the steam iron in any

liquid or permit liquids to penetrate into the housing of the steam iron.

Do not expose the appliance to humidity and do not use it outdoors.

If liquid gets into the housing, disconnect the appliance from the mains

power socket immediately and have it repaired by a qualiﬁ ed technician.

► Do not open the steam iron appliance housing. Have a defective appli-

ance repaired only by an authorised technician.

► Do NOT use the appliance if it shows visible signs of damage, has fallen

or leaks water. Arrange for it to be repaired by qualiﬁ ed specialists.

► Stop using the appliance if the anti-kink protection on the power cable

is damaged!

► This appliance may be used by children aged 8 years or more and

by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or

lack of experience and/or knowledge if they are supervised, or have

been instructed in the safe use of the appliance and have understood

the potential risks. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning

and user maintenance may not be carried out by children unless they

are supervised.

RISK OF BURNS!

► Hold the steam iron only by the handle when it is hot.

► Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the

appliance.

► Never place your hands in the steam spray or on hot metal parts.

► Do not open the ﬁ ller opening of the water reservoir while the iron is in

use. Allow the steam iron to cool down ﬁ rst and remove the plug from

the power socket.

► The iron and its connecting cable must be kept out of the reach of

children under the age of than 8 while the iron is switched on or

cooling down.

► Never leave a hot steam iron unattended if it is switched on or con-

nected to the mains power supply.

► Do not put the steam iron away until it has cooled down completely.

► This steam iron should only be used and set down on stable surfaces.

► Use only the ironing temperatures stated in the care instructions as suit-

able for the material. Otherwise, you could damage the textiles. If you

do not know the correct care instructions, start with the lowest tempera-

ture setting.

► Place the iron only on a level and heat-resistant surface. The iron must

be stable.

► When you want to put the steam iron down, always place it on its

base.

CAUTION! PROPERTY DAMAGE!

► If the clothing care instructions forbid ironing, ( symbol), the clothing

item may not be ironed. Ignoring this warning could lead to permanent

damage to the clothing item.

► The water tank should be ﬁ lled only with tap water or distilled water.

Otherwise you will damage the steam iron.

► Do not clean the steam iron with solvents, alcohol or abrasive cleaning

agents. These could damage it.

Before ﬁ rst use

■ Remove the steam iron from the packaging.

■ Remove all stickers and protective ﬁ lms from the

steam iron and from the sole of the iron 0.

RISK OF CHOKING!

► Plastic bags can be dangerous. To avoid fatal-

ities through suﬀ ocation, keep plastic bags out

of the reach of children.

■ Fill the water tank with water (See the chapter

"Filling the water tank").

■ Insert the plug into a mains power socket supply-

ing an electrical current as detailed on the rating

plate.

■ Move the temperature control 6 to the "MAX"

position.

■ Heat the steam iron up for several minutes at the

highest setting.

■ Activate the steam blast button 5 a couple

of times so that steam comes out of the sole of

the iron 0.

■ Then iron over a piece of scrap fabric to remove

any production residues that may remain on the

sole of the iron 0.

Filling the water tank

■ Hold the iron in your hand at an angle.

■ Open the cover of the ﬁ ller opening for the

water tank 2.

■ Using the measuring beaker w, ﬁ ll the water

tank with tap water/distilled water to the "MAX"

marking (and no further).

■ Close the cover of the ﬁ ller opening for the

water tank 2.

NOTE

Should the mains water at your locality be rated

as hard, it is recommended that you mix the mains

water with some distilled water. Otherwise, the

jets for the steam blast function could calcify

(become blocked) prematurely.

To extend the optimal steam blast function, mix

mains water with distilled water according to the

table:

Plugging in and ironing

Dry ironing without steam is possible at all tempera-

tures, steam ironing is only possible from the setting

range on the temperature control 6.

■ Insert the plug into a mains power socket.

CAUTION! PROPERTY DAMAGE!

►

If the clothing care instructions forbid ironing,

( symbol), the clothing item may not be

ironed. Ignoring this warning could lead to

permanent damage to the clothing item.

■ Check the care instructions on the labels in

garments to see if they are suitable for being

ironed, and at which temperature setting.

■ Select the appropriate temperature setting using

the temperature control 6.

NOTE

While it is heating up, always place the iron on

the base 9.

If you place the iron down on its sole 0 and do

not move it, the automatic switch-oﬀ will be acti-

vated after 30 seconds (see chapter "Automatic

switch-oﬀ ") and the appliance stops heating.

The temperature control lamp 7 lights up. When

the control lamp 7 goes out, the set temperature

has been reached.

■ Wait until the temperature control lamp 7

goes out.

■ To moisten the laundry, press the spray

button

This function is suitable for very dry and very

crumpled garments.

Steam ironing

■ Set the steam control 3 to the desired steam

setting.

■ The temperature control 6 must be set to at

least the setting . Otherwise no steam can

be produced.

Ironing with steam blast

The steam blast function is especially suitable for

smoothing diﬃ cult-to-reach parts of a garment.

■ Raise the steam iron slightly.

■ For a steam blast, press the steam blast

button 5.

► Never leave a hot steam iron unattended if

it is switched on or connected to the mains

power supply.

■ Move the temperature control 6 to the "MIN"

position.

■ Stand the steam iron only on the base 9.

After use

■ Remove the power plug from the mains power

socket.

■ Empty the water tank and clean the sole of the

iron 0.

■ Place the cooled-down steam iron on the base 9.

Drip-Stop function

With conventional steam irons, water can drip from

the sole of the iron 0 at low temperatures.

This iron, however, possesses a new feature: the

DRIP-STOP function. At low temperatures the iron

automatically switches oﬀ the steam-blast function.

Then set a suitable temperature with the tempera-

ture control 6. As soon as this is reached, steam

production is resumed.

Automatic switch-oﬀ

This steam iron is ﬁ tted with an automatic switch-oﬀ

system. This stops the iron from heating up.

If the iron is resting on its sole 0 and is not moved

for about 30 seconds, there will be a warning beep

and the control lamp for the automatic switch-oﬀ 7

ﬂ ashes. The iron will stop heating up. To deactivate

the automatic switch-oﬀ , lift up the iron and move

it gently from side to side. The control lamp for the

automatic switch-oﬀ 7 goes out and the iron will

heat up again.

If the iron is resting on its base 9 and is not moved

for about 8 seconds, there will be a warning beep

and the control lamp for the automatic switch-oﬀ 7

ﬂ ashes. The iron will stop heating up. To deactivate

the automatic switch-oﬀ , lift up the iron and move

it gently from side to side. The control lamp for the

automatic switch-oﬀ 7 goes out and the iron will

heat up again.

NOTE

The automatic switch-oﬀ is not intended as a

substitute for removing the plug from the mains

power! This is merely intended to reduce the ﬁ re

hazard if you forget to switch of the iron!

Cleaning

Self-cleaning function

■ Fill the water tank to the "MAX" marking.

■ Insert the plug into the mains power socket.

■ Move the temperature control 6 to the "MAX"

position.

■ Set the steam control 3 to maximum steam

power.

■ Allow the steam iron to heat up until the heat

control lamp 7 goes out and then lights up

again.

■ Hold the steam iron horizontally over a suitable

container.

■ Press and hold down the self-clean button q.

Move the steam iron back and forth a little.

Steam and boiling water will ﬂ ow from the

steam exit holes in the sole of the iron 0. Any

impurities that may be present are ﬂ ushed out.

■ Release the self-clean button q as soon as all

of the water has ﬂ own out of the water tank.

■ Dry the sole of the iron 0 thoroughly. To do

this, move the sole of the iron 0 back and forth

several times over a towel or an old piece of

fabric.

■ Allow the steam iron to cool down before placing

it in storage.

MORTAL DANGER!

► ALWAYS remove the plug before cleaning the

appliance. There is a risk of electric shock!

RISK OF INJURY!

► Allow the appliance to cool down before

cleaning it. Otherwise, there is a risk of burns!

CAUTION! PROPERTY DAMAGE!

►

Do not use aggressive, abrasive or chemical

cleaning agents. They can damage the surface

and also lead to irreparable damage to the

appliance.

■ Clean the housing with a soft, dry cloth only.

■ Clean the sole of the iron 0 using a damp cloth

and a mild, non-scouring detergent.

■ Dry the appliance well before using it again.

Storage

Store the cooled-down appliance in a clean, dust-

free and dry location.

Troubleshooting

The steam iron blasts out no steam/very

little steam:

The reserves of tap water/distilled water in the

steam iron are depleted. Fill the water tank (See

"Filling the water tank").

The steam iron does not get hot:

■ The steam iron is not plugged in or is not switched

on. Insert the plug into a wall power socket and

adjust the temperature control 6 to the desired

ironing temperature.

■ The steam iron is defective. Arrange for the steam

iron to be repaired by qualiﬁ ed specialists.

Disposal

Never dispose of the appliance

in the normal domestic waste.

This product is subject to the

provisions of European Directive

2012/19/EU.

Dispose of the appliance through an approved

disposal centre or at your community waste facility.

Please observe applicable regulations. Please

contact your waste disposal facility if you are in

any doubt.

Dispose of all packaging materials in an

environmentally friendly manner.

Warranty and service

This appliance is provided with a 3-year warranty

valid from the date of purchase. This appliance

has been manufactured with care and inspected

meticulously prior to delivery.

Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In

the event of a warranty claim, please contact your

Customer Service unit by telephone. This is the only

way to guarantee free return of your goods.

The warranty only covers claims for material and

manufacturing defects, not for transport damage,

wearing parts, such as baking trays or dough hooks,

or for damage to fragile components such as

switches or batteries. This appliance is intended

solely for private use and not for commercial pur-

poses.

The warranty shall be deemed void in cases of

misuse or improper handling, use of force and

modiﬁ cations/repairs which have not been carried

out by one of our authorised Service centres. Your

statutory rights are not restricted

by this warranty.

The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs

eﬀ ected under the warranty. This also applies to

replaced and repaired components. Any damage

and defects present at the time of purchase must be

reported immediately after unpacking, but no later

than two days after the date of purchase. Repairs

carried out after expiry of the warranty period shall

be subject to charge.

naczyniach. Bliskość wody stanowi poważne zagrożenie nawet przy

wyłączonym urządzeniu.

► Nie wolno zanurzać żelazka parowego w żadnych cieczach ani po-

zwalać na dostanie się cieczy do wnętrza obudowy żelazka parowego.

Nie wolno wystawiać urządzenia na działanie wilgoci ani używać go

na otwartej przestrzeni. Jeśli już ciecz dostanie się do wnętrza obudowy

urządzenia, należy natychmiast wyciągnąć wtyczkę z gniazda siecio-

► Nie wolno samemu otwierać obudowy żelazka. Uszkodzone żelaz-

ko parowe należy oddawać do naprawy tylko wykwaliﬁ kowanemu

specjaliście.

► Nie wolno używać żelazka parowego, które ma widoczne uszkodze-

nia, spadło na ziemię lub z którego wypływa woda. Należy najpierw

zlecić jego naprawę wykwaliﬁ kowanemu specjaliście.

► Nie wolno używać urządzenia, gdy uszkodzone zostało zabezpiecze-

nie przed zaginaniem kabla.

► To urządzenie może być używane przez dzieci od 8 roku życia oraz

przez osoby o zmniejszonych zdolnościach ﬁ zycznych, sensorycznych

lub umysłowych lub też osoby nieposiadające odpowiedniego do-

świadczenia i/lub wiedzy, wyłącznie pod nadzorem lub po przeszko-

Czyszczenie i konserwacja przez użytkownika nie mogą być wykony-

► Gdy żelazko jest gorące, wolno je trzymać tylko za uchwyt.

► Należy zapewnić nadzór nad dziećmi, aby nie bawiły się urządzeniem.

części metalowych.

► Podczas korzystania z żelazka nie wolno otwierać otworu do napeł-

niania zbiornika wody. Najpierw należy odczekać do ostygnięcia

żelazka, a następnie wyjąć wtyczkę z gniazda zasilania.

► Podczas włączania lub stygnięcia żelazko oraz jego przewód przyłą-

czeniowy muszą być poza zasięgiem dzieci w wieku poniżej 8 lat.

stabilnym podłożu.

► Należy prasować z zachowaniem ustawień temperatur podanych we

wskazówkach konserwacyjnych oraz dozwolonych przy określonym

rodzaju materiału. W przeciwnym razie można doprowadzić do uszko-

dzenia prasowanego materiału. Gdy brak jest wyraźnych instrukcji

dotyczących temperatury prasowania, należy zacząć od najniższego

ustawienia, a następnie stopniowo zwiększać temperaturę.

► Urządzenie należy stawiać na płaskiej i odpornej na wysoką tempera-

turę podstawie. Żelazko musi stać stabilnie.

► Przy odstawianiu żelazka parowego należy używać wyłącznie jego
