Important

Read this user manual carefully before you use the robot and save it for future reference. Read all

the warnings and safety issues below before you use the robot.

Danger

- Do not immerse the robot or the adapter in water or any other liquid.

- Do not use the robot on wet oors or in places where there is a risk of contact with water or

immersion in water.

- Never let the robot operate on or near ammable substances and do not allow it to pick up

ashes until they are cold.

- Do not use the robot in humid surroundings like bathrooms.

- Do not pour any liquid into the openings of the robot.

Warning

- Check if the voltage indicated on the adapter corresponds to the local mains voltage before you

connect the adapter.

- The plug must be removed from the socket-outlet before cleaning or maintaining the appliance.

- Do not use the robot if the adapter or the robot itself is damaged or if the robot is not

complete.

- If the adapter is damaged, you must have it replaced by Philips, a service centre authorised by

Philips or similarly qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.

- Only replace the rechargeable battery with one of the original type.

- Never attempt to repair the robot yourself.

- This robot is designed for indoor household use only. Keep all doors leading outside closed.

- Do not use the robot in hazardous areas such as close to replaces, showers or swimming pools.

- This robot is only intended for cleaning oors.

- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 or above and by persons with reduced physical,

sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given

instructions in safe use of the appliance or supervision to establish safe use and if they have

been made aware of the hazards involved.

- Do not allow children to play with the appliance.

- Children are only allowed to empty the dust container and to clean and maintain the robot

under supervision.

- Keep pets away from the robot. Do not let pets sit or stand on the robot.

- Keep loose clothing, hair and body parts away from the brushes of the robot.

- Remove all fragile and light objects from the oor and make sure the robot does not get

entangled in the pull cords of blinds or curtains.

- Do not let the robot move over the mains cords of other appliances or other cables as this may

cause a hazard.

- Switch off the robot if a dangerous situation occurs or if the robot behaves abnormally or gives

off an abnormal smell.

- To prevent damage, do not use the robot if the lter is not present in the dust container or has

not been placed properly in the dust container.

- Do not cover the robot or block the ventilation openings when the robot is cleaning. This may

cause the robot to overheat.

- Do not put any tape or stickers over the drop-off sensors. If you do, the robot may fall down

the stairs.

- Do not store the robot at a temperature above 60°C or below -10°C.

- Do not use the robot in a room with a temperature above 45°C.

- Do not incinerate, disassemble or expose the rechargeable battery to temperatures above

60°C. The rechargeable battery may explode if overheated.

Caution

- When you use the robot to vacuum ne sand, lime, cement dust and similar substances, the

pores of the lter become clogged.

- Do not touch the rechargeable battery or the adapter with wet hands.

- Only use the adapter and the rechargeable battery supplied to charge the robot.

- Always switch off the robot before you move or store it.

- Remove the rechargeable battery from the robot if you are not going to use it for some time.

Store the rechargeable battery in a dry and safe place if you remove it.

- Do not use the robot on high-pile carpets or on rugs with tassels.

- Do not clean the dust container with water or in the dishwasher.

This robot is equipped with features that make it a suitable cleaner to help you clean the oors in

your home.

The robot is especially suitable for cleaning hard oors, such as wooden, tiled or linoleum oors. It

may experience problems cleaning soft oors, such as carpet or rugs. If you use the robot on a

carpet or rug, please stay close by the rst time to see if the robot can deal with this type of oor.





The robot has a 2-stage cleaning system to clean your oors efciently.

- The two side brushes help the robot clean in corners and along walls. They also help to work

dirt loose from the oor (Fig. 2).

- The suction power of the robot picks up loose dirt and transports it through the suction

opening into the dust container (Fig. 3).



The robot uses a systematic cleaning strategy that consists of three cleaning patterns.

1 Straight pattern

2 Spiral pattern

3 Wall-following pattern

The robot uses these patterns in the following order:

1 A straight pattern, followed by a spiral pattern (Fig. 4)

2 A wall-following pattern, followed by a spiral pattern (Fig. 5)

When the robot has completed this sequence of patterns, it starts moving in straight lines again. The

robot continues to use this sequence of patterns to clean the room until the rechargeable battery is

empty, or until it is switched off manually.



The robot is tted with three drop-off sensors in the bottom.

- These drop-off sensors detect height differences and prevent the robot from falling down stairs

and other height differences (Fig. 6).





1 Unpack the side brushes.

2 Push the side brushes onto the shafts on the bottom of the robot (Fig. 7).

Note: Make sure you attach the side brushes properly. Press them onto the shaft until you hear them

lock into position with a click.



You have to insert the rechargeable battery before use.

3 Slide the cover off the robot (Fig. 9).

4 Push the plug of the rechargeable battery onto the connector in the rechargeable battery

cavity.

Note: The plug only ts on the connector in one way: with the tab on the side of the hook on the

connector (Fig. 10).

5 Place the rechargeable battery in the rechargeable battery cavity (Fig. 11).

6 Slide the dust container compartment cover back onto the robot until it locks into

position (Fig. 12).

Note: Make sure the two cover latches slide into the appropriate holes in the housing of the robot. The

robot does not work and the dust compartment indicator ashes when the cover latches have not been

inserted properly (see chapter ‘Using your robot’, section ‘Indicator signals and their meaning’).



Charge the battery for at least 4 hours each time to ensure the rechargeable battery performs best

and has a long life. A fully charged battery gives you a cleaning time of approximately 50 minutes on

hard oors.

Charging

1 Make sure the on/off switch is in ‘off’ position when you start charging the robot.

2 Insert the small plug of the adapter into the socket for the small plug on the robot. Insert the

adapter into a wall socket (Fig. 13).

3 Whentherechargeablebatteryischarging,thebatteryindicatorashesslowly(Fig.14).

4 When the rechargeable battery is fully charged, the battery indicator lights up

continuously (Fig. 15).

Note: It is possible that the on/off switch is still in ‘on’ position while charging. In that case, the robot will

not work when you press the on/off switch once to start a new cleaning run. You have to press the on/off

switch a second time to switch on the robot.



Preparing for cleaning

1 Beforeyouswitchontherobot,cleartheooroflooseobjectssuchastoys,magazinesand

shoes.Removemainscords,wiresandthepullcordsofcurtainsorblindsfromtheoor.

2 Remove the small plug from the socket on the robot if it is still inserted (Fig. 16).

Note: The robot does not operate when it is connected to the mains. Therefore, always disconnect the

adapter from the robot and the mains before use.

Note: Always store the adapter in a safe place before you switch on the robot.

3 Makesurethedustcontainerisemptyandthelterisproperlyinstalled.

4 Placetherobotontheoorinanareawherethereisenoughfreespacearoundit.

Cleaning

1 Press the on/off switch to switch on the robot (Fig. 17).

Caution:Alwaysmakesurethelterispresentinsidethedustcontainer.Ifyouusetherobot

withoutthelterinsidethedustcontainer,themotorwillbedamaged.

Caution: Always stay close by when the robot cleans near a staircase.

, The battery indicator lights up continuously during cleaning (Fig. 18).

Note: The robot follows predened cleaning patterns. See chapter ‘How your robot works’, section ‘How

your robot cleans’ for more details.

Note: If the battery runs low during cleaning, the battery indicator ashes quickly and you hear two beeps.

Recharge the robot to continue cleaning (see chapter ‘Preparing for use’, section ‘Charging’) (Fig. 14).



The robot has a display with three indicators: the battery indicator, the dust compartment indicator

and the warning indicator. The table below explains the meaning of the signals these indicators give.

The plug must be removed from the socket-outlet before cleaning or maintaining the appliance.



The robot works dirt and dust loose from the oor with its side brushes and collects this dirt and

dust in the dust container. For the best results, we advise you to empty and clean the dust container

after each use.

1 Make sure the on/off switch is in ‘off’ position.

Then slide the cover off the robot (Fig. 19).

4 Take the dust container out of the dust container compartment (Fig. 20).

Note: When you remove or reinsert the dust container, take care not to damage the blades of the motor fan.

5 Carefullyliftthelidoffthedustcontainerandtakeoutthelter(Fig.21).

6 Shake the dust container over a dustbin to empty it (Fig. 22).

7 If the dust container is dirty, clean it with a brush with soft bristles (e.g. a toothbrush) or a

cloth (Fig. 23).



After some time, dust and uff can accumulate around the suction opening, the wheels and the

drop-off sensors in the bottom of the robot. To maintain good cleaning performance, you have to

clean the suction opening, the wheels and the drop-off sensors from time to time.

1 Make sure the on/off switch is in ‘off’ position.

2 Placetherobotupsidedownonaatsurface.

3 Useabrushwithsoftbristles(e.g.atoothbrush)toremovedustorufffromthesuction

opening (Fig. 27).

4 Alsousethebrushtoremovedustorufffromthefrontwheelandsidewheels.

5 Cleanthedrop-offsensorswithacottonbudtoremovedustanduff(Fig.28).



After some time, uff, hairs and threads start to accumulate around the shafts of the side brushes. To

ensure proper functioning, clean the side brushes and the shafts from time to time.

1 Make sure the on/off switch is in ‘off’ position.

2 Placetherobotupsidedownonaatsurface.

3 Grab one of the side brushes by its bristles (Fig. 29).

4 Pull the side brush upwards to remove it from the shaft (Fig. 30).

5 Removeuff,hairsandthreadsfromtheshaftandfromthesidebrushwithasoftbrush(e.g.

a toothbrush) or a cloth (Fig. 31).

6 Push the side brush back onto the shaft (Fig. 32).

7 Repeat steps 2 to 5 for the other shaft and the other side brush.

Storage

1 Switch off the robot by setting the on/off switch to ‘off’ position.

2 Emptythedustcontainerandcleanthelter(seechapter‘Cleaningandmaintenance’).

3 Remove the side brushes from their shafts.

4 Store the robot in a dry place with a temperature of at least 15°C.

Note: After a long period of storage, always charge the robot before you switch it on.

Replacement



Replace the lter if it can no longer be cleaned properly.

1 Make sure the on/off switch is in ‘off’ position.

2 Remove the dust container from the robot (see steps 2 to 4 of chapter ‘Cleaning and

maintenance’, section ‘Emptying and cleaning the dust container’).

3 Carefullyliftthelidoffthedustcontainerandremovetheoldlter.Emptythedust

container (Fig. 33).

4 Placethenewlterinthedustcontainerandplacethelidonthedustcontainer(Fig.34).

5 Put back the dust container and the dust container compartment cover (see steps 10 and 11

of chapter ‘Cleaning and maintenance’, section ‘Empying and cleaning the dust container’).



Replace the side brushes after some time to ensure proper cleaning results.

Note: Always replace the side brushes when you notice signs of wear. We also recommend that you

replace both side brushes at the same time.

1 Make sure the on/off switch is in ‘off’ position.

2 Placetherobotupsidedownonaatsurface.

3 Grab one side brush by its bristles and pull it off the shaft (Fig. 30).

4 Push the new side brush onto the shaft (Fig. 32).

5 Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the other side brush.



Replace the rechargeable battery when you can no longer recharge it or when it runs out of power

quickly.

1 Let the robot run until the rechargeable battery is empty to make sure the rechargeable

battery is completely discharged before you remove it and dispose of it.

2 Remove the small plug from the socket on the robot if it is still inserted. Make sure the on/

off switch is in ‘off’ position (Fig. 35).

3 Removethedustcontainercompartmentcover(seesteps1to3ofchapter‘Beforerstuse’,

section ‘Inserting the rechargeable battery’).

4 Take the old rechargeable battery out of its cavity and pull its plug from the

connector (Fig. 36).

5 Place the new rechargeable battery in the rechargeable battery cavity and put back the dust

containercompartmentcoverontherobot(seesteps4to6ofchapter‘Beforerstuse’,

section ‘Inserting the rechargeable battery’ ).



Environment

- The rechargeable battery contains substances that may pollute the environment. Always dispose

of used up rechargeable batteries at an ofcial collection point for batteries. Make sure the

rechargeable battery is completely discharged when you dispose of it. To completely discharge

the rechargeable battery, let the robot run until the battery is completely empty. Always remove

the rechargeable battery before you discard and hand in the robot at an ofcial collection

point (Fig. 37).

- Do not throw away the robot with the normal household waste at the end of its life, but hand it

in at an ofcial collection point for recycling. By doing this, you help to preserve the

environment (Fig. 38).



Този робот е снабден с функции, които го правят полезен помощник за почистване на

подовите повърхности във вашия дом.

Роботът е особено подходящ за почистване на твърди подови повърхности, като подове от

дърво, плочки или линолеум. При почистване на меки подови повърхности, например килими,

може да има известни затруднения. Ако използвате робота за почистване на килими, първия

път останете близо до него, за да видите дали той може да се справи с такъв тип подова

повърхност.





Този робот е с двустепенна система за ефикасно почистване на подове.

- С двете странични четки роботът почиства ъглите и покрай стените. Освен това, те

изваждат напластения в пода прах (фиг. 2).

- Мощната система за засмукване събира праха и замърсяванията и през отвора за

всмукване ги прехвърля в контейнера за смет (фиг. 3).



Роботът работи по схема, която включва три начина на почистване.

1 Право почистване

2 Спирално почистване

3 Следване на стената

Роботът използва трите начина на почистване в следния ред:

1 Право почистване, последвано от спирално почистване (фиг. 4)

2 Следване на стената, последвано от спирално почистване (фиг. 5)

Когато роботът приключи с тази последователност от начини на почистване, той започва

отново да се движи по права линия. Роботът продължава да почиства помещението по тази

схема, докато не бъде изключен ръчно или докато акумулаторната батерия се изтощи.



Роботът е снабден с три датчика за риск от падане в долната си част.

- Тези датчици откриват разлики във височината и предпазват робота от падане по стълби

и други места с разлика във височината (фиг. 6).





вала, докато чуете щракването, с което те се заключват на местата си.

Преди употреба трябва да поставите акумулаторната батерия.

Забележка: Щепселът може да се включи в съединителя само по един начин: с палеца

отстрани на куката върху съединителя (фиг. 10).

5 Поставетеакумулаторнатабатериявкухината(фиг.11).

6 Плъзнетекапаканаотделениетонаконтейнеразасметотнововробота,докатосе

фиксиранамястотоси(фиг.12).

Забележка: Уверете се, че двете заключалки на капака са наместени в съответните отвори в

корпуса на робота. Роботът не работи и индикаторът на отделението за смет мига, когато

заключалките на капака не са наместени правилно (вижте глава “Използване на робота”,

раздел “Индикаторни сигнали и тяхното значение”).



Всеки път зареждайте батерията за поне 4 часа, за да гарантирате, че роботът ще работи по

най-добрия начин и че батерията ще има дълъг живот. При напълно заредена батерия

разполагате с около 50 минути време за почистване на твърди подови повърхности.



Забележка: Възможно е ключът за вкл./изкл. да остане във включено положение по време на

зареждането. В такъв случай роботът няма да работи при еднократно натискане на ключа

за ново почистване. За да го включите, трябва да натиснете ключа още веднъж.





Забележка: Роботът не работи, когато е включен в електрическата мрежа. Затова винаги

изключвайте адаптера от робота и от контакта преди употреба.

Забележка: Роботът следва предварително дефинирани модели за почистване. За повече

Забележка: Ако батерията се изтощи по време на почистването, съответният индикатор

започва бързо да мига и се чуват два звукови сигнала. Заредете робота, за да продължите с

почистването (вижте глава “Подготовка за употреба”, раздел “Зареждане”) (фиг. 14).



Роботът има дисплей с три индикатора: индикатор за батерията, индикатор на отделението

за смет и индикатор за предупреждение. В таблицата по-долу е обяснено значението на

сигналите на тези индикатори.
