Heated Underblanket

Introduction

Please make yourself familiar with the

heated underblanket before preparing it

for use or using it for the ﬁrst time. Please

read carefully through the following operating instruc-

tions and important safety advice. Use the heated

underblanket only as described and for the indicated

purposes. Keep these instructions in a safe place.

If you pass the heated underblanket on to anyone

else, please ensure that you also pass on all the

documentation.

Intended use

This heated underblanket is intended for warming

beds. It is not intended for use in hospitals or for

commercial use. It must not be used in particular for

warming babies, infants, people who are insensitive

to heat, helpless people or animals. Any use other

than that described above or modiﬁcation to the

heated underblanket is not permitted and could lead

to injury and / or damage to the heated underblanket.

The manufacturer accepts no liability for any damage

caused by improper use.

this safety advice. If you pass the

heated underblanket on to anyone

tion instructions as well.

SCALDING HAZARD!

This heated underblanket

may not be used by persons in-

sensitive to heat and other per-

sons in need of protection who

do not respond to overheating

(e.g. diabetics, persons with skin

changes caused by illness or

scarred skin areas in the appli-

cation area after using analge-

sics or alcohol). There is a risk of

receiving skin burns.

This

may not be used for very young

children (0–3 years), as they

are unable to react to overheat-

ing. There is a risk of receiving

skin burns.

This heated underblanket may

not be used by young children

(3–8 years) unless the control

unit was set by a parent or a

supervising person and the child

was adequately instructed on

the safe use of the heated under-

blanket. There otherwise is a risk

of burns.

This heated underblanket may

be used by older children age

8 and up, and persons with di-

minished physical, sensory or

mental capacities or lacking ex-

perience and knowledge when

supervised and instructed on the

safe use of the heated under-

blanket and they understand the

associated risks.

Children must be supervised so

they do not play with the heated

underblanket. There is a risk of

or maintain the product without

Do not pull, twist or kink the ca-

bles. Otherwise the heated un-

derblanket could be damaged.

Frequently check the heated un-

derblanket for signs of wear or

damage. If signs thereof are de-

tected, the heated underblanket

was used improperly or will no

longer heat up, it must ﬁrst be in-

spected by the manufacturer be-

fore being switched on again.

If the mains cable of this appli-

ance is damaged, it must be re-

placed by the manufacturer or

its service department, or a simi-

larly qualiﬁed person to prevent

hazards.

With the heated underblanket

switched on, never

–

place objects on it (e.g. suitc

ases

or clothes baskets),

– place a heating source such

as a hot-water bottle, heating

pad or similar items on it. The

heated underblanket may

otherwise be damaged.

The electronic components in-

side the control unit

will heat

up whilst operating the heated

underblanket. Therefore never

cover the control unit

or place

it onto the heated underblanket

during operation. This poses a

risk of injuries and/or damage

to the heated underblanket.

Always observe the information

on start-up, cleaning and care,

and storage.

Safety system

Note: The heated underblanket is ﬁtted with a

safety system. Its electronic sensor system prevents

the heated underblanket from overheating over its

full area by switching it oﬀ automatically in the event

of a fault. If the safety system switches the heated

underblanket oﬀ automatically due to a fault, then

the function indicator

on the control unit

ceases to illuminate, even if the heated underblanket

is switched on.

Please note that, for safety reasons, the heated

underblanket must not be used in the event of

a fault and must be sent to the service centre

address given below.

Special characteristics

This heated underblanket has been provided with an

especially soft and hygienic soft nonwoven fabric.

The textiles used in this heated underblanket meet

the high human ecological safety requirements of

the Öko-Tex Standard 100 as proven in tests at the

Hohenstein Research Institute.

Preparations for use

Placing the heated

underblanket

Starting at the foot end, spread out the heated

underblanket (top, see Fig. B) over the mattress.

The plug-in connector

on the heated underblan-

t should be towards the head end (see Fig. C).

First connect the control unit

to the heated

underblanket by plugging the two parts of the

plug-in connector

together (see Fig. D).

RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE

PRODUCT AND / OR OTHER

PROPERTY! Please be sure

– the plug-in connector and the cable do not

get pinched on the bedframe.

– the cable does not get wedged between the

bedframe and the mattress.

– the cable does not get severely kinked.

Otherwise the plug-in connector and the

cable could be damaged.

Then place the bottom sheet as usual over

the heated underblanket, so that the heated un-

derblanket lies between the mattress and

the bottom sheet.

Ensure that the heated underblanket is com-

pletely ﬂat and that it does not become drawn

together or folded during use.

Before use on an adjustable bed, verify the

heated underblanket and the cables will not be

pinched in the hinges, for example, or pushed

together.

Switch the heated underblanket on approxi-

mately 30 minutes before going to bed and

cover it with the top sheet and other bedding.

By doing this you will keep all the heat in.

Switching on / oﬀ / Selecting

the temperature

Selecting the temperature:

This heated underblanket has a rapid heat-up

feature. Set the control unit to the highest tem-

perature setting (setting 6). This will cause the

heated underblanket to warm up quickly.

When operat-

ing the heated underblanket for

several hours, we recommend set-

ting the control unit to the lowest

temperature to prevent the body

from overheating, potentially result-

ing in burns to the skin or heat stroke.

The foot zone is the warmest part of the heated

underblanket.

Note: This heated underblanket has overheating

protection. After a period of approx. 3 hours at

temperature settings 5 or 6, the heated underblanket

automatically switches down to setting 4.

Selecting the automatic

switch-oﬀ time

Using the switch-oﬀ time setting switch

the control unit

, set the desired switch-oﬀ

time. The switch-oﬀ time can be set to 1, 3, 6 or

12 hours. After the expiry of the set switch-oﬀ

time, the heated underblanket no longer provides

heat and the function indicator

starts to ﬂash.

To heat up the heated underblanket again, ﬁrst

set the temperature setting switch

to setting

0 and then choose the desired temperature

setting.

If the heated underblanket is no longer

being used after the timer expires:

– switch oﬀ the heated underblanket (setting 0),

– unplug from the socket,

– disconnect the plug-in connection

, thus the

control unit

Cleaning and care

RISK TO LIFE

FROM ELECTRIC SHOCK! Before

cleaning, always pull the plug of the

heated underblanket out of the mains socket and

separate the plug-in connector

to detach the

control unit

from the heated underblanket (see

Fig. D). Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.

Use a dry, lint-free cloth for control unit

cleaning and care.

RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE

PRODUCT OR PROPERTY!

Never immerse the control

water or other liquids. It may otherwise be

damaged.

If the heated underblanket is slightly soiled, use

a damp cloth and, if necessary, a little liquid

mild detergent.

RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE

PRODUCT OR PROPERTY! Do

not clean the heated underblanket

and the control unit

with chemical cleaners

or scouring agents. Otherwise the heated un-

derblanket and the control unit

could be

damaged.

The heated underblanket is machine

washable. Set the washing machine

to an extra gentle cycle at 30 °C.

Use a mild laundry detergent according to the

manufacturer’s instructions.

Please note that the heated underblanket may

degrade through too frequent washing. The

heated underblanket should be washed in a

washing machine no more than 5 times over its

whole lifetime.

RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE

PRODUCT OR PROPERTY!

Note that the heated underblanket

must not be dry cleaned, wrung out, machine-

dried, put through a mangle or ironed. Other-

wise the heated underblanket could be

damaged.

Do not use bleach. Do not use any

cleaning agents containing bleach

(such as heavy duty detergents).

Do not dry in a tumbler dryer.

Do not iron.

Do not dry clean.

Reshape the damp heated underblanket to its

original size immediately after washing and

dry ﬂat atop a clothes drying rack.

RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE

PRODUCT OR PROPERTY! Do

not attach the heated underblanket

to washing lines with washing pegs or the like.

Otherwise the heated underblanket could be

damaged.

trol

to the heated underblanket

until the connector

and the heated under-

blanket are completely dry. Otherwise there is

a risk of electric shock.

DAMAGE! Under no circum-

stances switch on the heated underblanket to

dry it. Otherwise there is a risk of electric

shock.

Storage

RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE

PRODUCT! Before putting it away,

let the heated underblanket cool

down. Otherwise material damage could occur.

RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE

PRODUCT! Do not crease the

heated underblanket by placing

items on top of it during storage. Otherwise

material damage could occur.

If the heated underblanket is not to be used for

some time, store it in the original packaging in a

dry environment and do not place any objects

on top of it. Disconnect the plug-in connection

i.e. the control unit

, from the heated under-

blanket.

Disposal

The packaging and ancillary packing

consist of environmentally friendly

materials. They can be disposed of at

your local recycling facility.

Do not dispose of electrical

devices with household rubbish!

In accordance with European Directive (covering

waste electrical and electronic equipment) and its

transposition into national legislation, worn-out

electrical devices must be collected separately and

taken for environmentally compatible recycling.

Contact your local refuse disposal authority for

more details of how to dispose of your worn-out

electrical underblanket.

Warranty / Service

We provide a 3-year warranty from the date of

purchase covering defects in materials or manufacture

of the heated underblanket.

The warranty does not cover:

· Damage from improper use.

· Wear parts.

· Damage caused by the customer.

If the device has been opened by an unauthoris

repair shop.

This warranty does not aﬀect the customer‘s legal

rights. The customer must provide proof of purchase

in order for any warranty claims within the warranty

period to be honoured. Warranty claims must be

ﬁled with MGG Elektro GmbH, Düsseldorf, Ger-

many within 3 years from the date of purchase.

Melegítő ágybetét

Bevezetés

Az üzembevétel és az első használat előtt

ismerkedjen meg a melegítő ágybetéttel.

Ebből a célból olvassa el ﬁgyelmesen a

következő kezelési utasítást és a fontos, a biztonságra

vonatkozó útmutatásokat. A melegítő ágybetétet csak

a leírtaknak megfelelően és csak a megadott alkal-

mazási területeken használja. Őrizze meg jól ezt

az utasítást. A melegítő ágybetét továbbadása ese-

tén harmadik személy részére kézbesítse vele an-

nak a teljes dokumentációját is.

Rendeltetésszerű használat

Ez a melegítő ágybetét ágyak melegítésére készült.

Nem kórházakban történő, vagy ipari használatra

készült. Különösen tilos vele csecsemők, kisgyerekek,

a meleggel szemben érzéketlen vagy magatehetetlen

személyek, vagy állatok melegítése. Az előbb leír-

taktól eltérő alkalmazás vagy a melegítő ágybetét

megváltoztatása nem engedélyezett és ez sérülésekhez

és / vagy a melegítő ágybetét károsodásához vezethet.

Az olyan károkért, amelyek okai a rendeltetésétől

eltérő alkalmazásokból erednek, a gyártó nem áll jót.

Ezt a melegítő ágybetétet sűrűn

meg kell vizsgálni elhasználó-

dás vagy károsodások jelei

szempontjából. Amennyiben az

említett jelek fellépnek, a mele-

gítő ágybetétet szakszerűtlenül

használták vagy ha az már nem

melegszik fel, akkor egy újabb

bekapcsolás előtt először a

zett személynek kell kicserélni.

Miközben a melegítő ágybetét

be van kapcsolva,

– arra ne helyezzen tárgyakat

(pl. bőrönd vagy ruhás kosár),

– arra ne helyezzen hőforráso-

kat, mint egy melegítő palack

vagy hasonlókat.

Biztonsági rendszer

Útmutatás: A melegítő ágybetét egy biztonsági

rendszerrel van ellátva. Az elektronikus szenzor-

technika megakadályozza a melegítő ágybetét

túlmelegedését a teljes felületére vonatkozóan azáltal,

hogy hibák előállása esetén automatikusan kikapcsol.

Ha egy hiba előállása miatt a melegítő ágybetétet a

Vegye ﬁgyelembe, hogy a melegítő ágybetétet

biztonság okából egy hiba előállása esetén

többé nem lehet üzemeltetni és azt a megadott

szerviz-címre kell elküldeni.

Különleges tulajdonságok

Ez a melegítő ágybetét egy rendkívül puha és

higiénikus lágy gyapjúszerű anyaggal ellátott.

Az ehhez a melegítő ágybetéthez felhasznált

textíliák kielégítik az Öko-Tex Standard 100 magas

humanökologiai követelményeit, ahogyan azt a

Hohenstein kutatóintézet bizonyította.

Üzembevétel

A melegítő ágybetét

elhelyezése

Helyezze a melegítő ágybetétet (a felsőoldalát

lásd a B ábrán), a lábvégektől kezdve, laposan

kiterítve a matracra. A melegítő ágybetét dugós

csatlakozójának

a fejvég irányába (lásd a C

ábrát) kell mutatnia.

Az üzembevételhez kösse össze előbb a keze-

lőrészt

a melegítő ágybetéttel úgy, hogy a

dugós csatlakozókat

egymásba dugja

(lásd a D ábrát).

ANYAGI KÁROSODÁS VESZÉ-

LYE! Ügyeljen arra,

– hogy dugós csatlakozó és a vezeték ne

legyen az ágykeretbe csípődve.

– a vezeték ne legyen az ágykeret és a

matrac közé csípődve.

– a vezetéket ne törje meg élesen.

Ellenkező esetben a dugós csatlakozót és a

vezetéket károsodás érheti.

Ezután terítse az ágylepedőt szokás szerint reá

úgy, hogy a melegítő ágybetét a matrac és az

ágylepedő között legyen.

Biztosítsa, hogy a melegítő ágybetét teljes

mértékben legyen kiterítve és hogy használat

közben ne csússzon össze és rajta ráncok ne

keletkezhessenek.

Használat előtt ellenőrizze egy állítható

ágyon, hogy a melegítő ágybetét és a vezeté-

kek nem akadnak-e be például zsanérokba,

vagy nem nyomódnak-e össze.

Kapcsolja be a melegítő ágybetétet kb. 30 perc-

cel a lefekvés előtt és takarja le a takaróval. Így

megakadályozza a meleg elillanását.

Ez a melegítő ágybetét gyorsfűtéssel rendelkezik.

Előbb állítsa be a legmagasabb hőmérsékleti

fokozatot (6 fokozat). Így a leggyorsabb fel-

melegedést éri el.

Amennyi-

ben a melegítő ágybetét több órán

keresztül üzemel, javasoljuk, hogy

a kezelőrészen a legalacsonyabb

hőmérsékletet állítsa be, hogy elke-

rülje a felmelegített testrészek túl-

melegedését és következményként

adott esetben a bőr égését.
