Translation of the original instructions for
use
Electric blower pump SGP 230 A1
Intended use
The appliance is designed for inating and deating inatable mattresses, rubber dinghies,
swimming pools and other inatable high-volume articles for domestic use.
Do not use it to inate bicycle or car tyres.
Every other use may damage the appliance and cause a serious risk for its users.
The manufacturer shall not be liable for damages caused by non-intended or inappropriate
operation.

this instruction manual through attentively before you use the machine. Keep
the manual in a safe place and pass it on to any subsequent owner to ensure
that the information contained therein is available at all times.

other than with the supervision of a person responsible for their safety or with the
instruction of the same in terms of how to use the equipment.
Children must be supervised in order to ensure that they do not play with the equip-
ment.
Do not use the equipment when people and particularly children or pets are
nearby.
In the area of operation, the operator is liable for damages caused others as a result
of operating the appliance.
During operation, never point the appliance at yourself or others, taking particular
care to avoid the eyes and ears. Risk of injury!

Do not leave the appliance unattended while running and take heed of the air-ll
information of the inatable article. The inatable article may burst and cause serious
injuries.
Keep the appliance in a dry place and out of the reach of children.
Caution! To avoid damage to the equipment and any possible person injury
resulting from this:
Workingwiththeappliance:
Before starting the appliance, check it for damages and only operate it if it is in perfect
condition.
Do not expose the appliance to rain or humid weather and do not allow it to come into
contact with water. Risk of electric shock.
Keep all openings of the appliance free while operating. Do not cover the openings
with your hands or ngers and do not cover the appliance. Risk of overheating.

Prevent sand and other small foreign particles from getting into the air inlet or air out-
let.
Do not operate the appliance near inammable liquids or gases. Do not let it draw in
hot vapours. Non-compliance causes a risk of re or explosion.
Turn off the appliance and unplug it from the mains outlet:
- you are not operating the appliance;
- you are leaving the appliance unattended;
- you are repairing or servicing the appliance;
- the mains lead is damaged;
- foreign particles have got in or abnormal sounds are heard.
Only use accessories supplied and recommended by the manufacturer.
Do not try to repair the appliance yourself.
Caution: How to avoid accidents and injuries caused by electric shock:

Electricalsafety:
Do not operate the appliance if its On/Off switch cannot be set. Have damaged
switches replaced.
Do not use the cable to carry the appliance. Do not pull the cable to unplug from
the mains. Keep the cable away from heat, oil and sharp edges.
Every time before you use the appliance, check the mains lead and the extension cord
for damages and wear. Do not operate the appliance if the cable is damaged or worn.
Immediately unplug the appliance from the mains outlet if the lead is damaged. Do not
touch the mains lead until you have unplugged it from the mains.
The power cord of this appliance cannot be replaced. If it damaged, the appliance
must be scrapped.

Operation
Check that the appliance is turned off (move On/Off switch to “0”) and connect it to the
mains voltage.
The unit is not designed for continuous operation. Running it for longer than 30
minutes may cause the appliance to overheat and take damage. If you notice
that the appliance is overloaded, turn it off immediately and do not restart it until it
has cooled down.
Inating

1. Remove the cap from the valve of the inatable
article.
2. Install the correct valve adapter (6) in the pump’s
air outlet labelled INFLATE (5) (bayonet mount).
3. Plug the valve adapter (6) into the valve of the
inatable article.
4. Turn on the appliance (move On/Off switch to “I”).

5. When enough air is in the article turn off the appliance (move On/Off switch to
“0”) and unplug the valve adapter (6).
6. Restore the cap to the valve of the inatable article.
Deating
1. Install the correct valve adapter (6) by pushing it over
the pump’s air inlet labelled DEFLATE (1).
2. Remove the cap from the valve of the inatable article
and plug the valve adapter (6) into the valve of the
inatable article.
3. Turn on the appliance (move On/Off switch to “I”).
4. When all the air has been removed from the inatable
article, turn off the appliance (move On/Off switch to
“0”) and unplug the valve adapter (6).

Adapters
Adapter1:
Use for all standard valve with an inside diameter
of 8 mm or greater.
Adapter2:
Use for inatable article with a screw-on valve.
To deate, you must unscrew the valve and use
Adapter 2.
Adapter3:
Use for inatable article with air relief valve.

Cleaning
Do not spray the appliance with water and do not immerse it in water. Risk of
injury due to electric shock.
Donotusecleaningagentsorsolvents.Youmayotherwiseirreparablydamage
theappliance.
Keep clean the appliance’s ventilation slots, the air inlet and outlet, and the housing.
Use a damp cloth or a brush for cleaning.
Disposal /Enviromental Protection
Be environmentally friendly. Return the tool, accessories and packaging to a recycling
centre when you have nished with them.
Machines do not belong with domestic waste.

Hand the tool in at a recycling centre. The plastics and metal parts can be separated and
recycled. Ask your Service Center about this.
Guarantee
This appliance has a 36-month guarantee; a shorter 12-month guarantee applies if
the appliance is to be used for commercial purposes or for replacement appliances
according to statutory regulations.
Justied guarantee claims should be reported to our Service Centre (see cover
page for telephone & fax no.s, and email address). Our Service Team will tell you
more about our complaints handling procedure.
Damage due to natural wear and tear, overload or incorrect use is excluded from
the guarantee.

Furthermore, the prerequisite for guarantee services is that the references indi-
cated in the operating instructions regarding cleaning and maintenance have been
adhered to.
Damage, which has been caused from material or manufacturing faults, will be
made good free of charge, by replacement delivery or repair.
This requires that the appliance is returned to our service center undismantled
and with proof of purchase and guarantee.
Devices sent in freight collect - by bulk freight, express or with other special
freight - are not accepted.
Defective units returned to us will be disposed of for free.
