12. WASSER UND OBJEKTE, DIE IN DAS GERÄT GELANGEN KÖNNEN – Es sollte Vorsicht bei diesen Objekten geboten

13. REPERATURBEDARF BEI SCHADENSFALL – Das Gerät sollte nur von qualifiziertem Personal repariert werden wenn:

a. Die Stromverkabelung beschädigt ist.

Hinweis:

a. Verdreckte oder zerkratzte CDs können beim Abspielen springen. Säubern Sie oder wechseln Sie die CD aus.

b. Wenn ein Fehler angezeigt oder eine Fehlfunktion besteht, das Netzkabel rausziehen und alle Batterien entfernen. Danach

das Netzkabel wieder anschließen.

VOR DEM BETRIEB

Hinweis: HINWEISE BEZÜGLICH CDs

Da verdreckte, beschädigte oder verbogene CDs das Gerät beschädigen können, sollte auf folgendes

geachtet werden:

a. CDs mit der Beschriftung nach oben einlegen.

b. Benutzen Sie CDs nur mit Digital Audio-Signalen.

STROMVERSORGUNG

NETZSTROM

Sie können Ihr tragbares Gerät an einen Stromkreis anschließen, dazu den Netzstecker in eine Steckdose mit 230V

50Hz

Netzstrom anschließen.

Stellen Sie sicher, dass Ihr Stromkabel richtig am Gerät angeschlossen ist.

BATTERIEBETRIEB

Legen Sie Batterien in der Größe 8 x „C” in das Batteriefach. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Batterien richtig eingesetzt sind, um

Beschädigungen am Gerät vorzubeugen. Die Batterien immer aus dem Gerät entfernen, wenn das Gerät längere Zeit nicht in

Betrieb ist. Andernfalls könnten Batterien auslaufen und das Gerät beschädigen.

Das Gerät schaltet automatisch zwischen Netzstrom und Batteriebetrieb um, wenn das Netzkabel eingesteckt ist, verwendet

das Gerät Netzstrom.

- Immer Batterien derselben Marke benutzen. Niemals verschiedene Batterietypen benutzen.

- Wenn Sie das Gerät mit Batterien betreiben, ziehen sie den Netzstecker raus.

KOPFHÖRER

Achten Sie darauf, dass die Kopfhörer über einen Stereoklinkenstecker mit Ø 3,5 mm und eine Impedanz von 32 Ω haben. Die

Lautsprecher werden automatisch ausgeschaltet, sobald die Kopfhörer eingesteckt werden.

RADIOEMPFANG

• RADIO-Modus einstellen.

• Mit dem BANDWAHLSCHALTER den Wellenbereich (MW, UKW oder UKW ST) einstellen.

• Mit dem Sendersuchknopf den gewünschten Sender suchen.

• Zum Ausschalten des Radios, den CD-Modus wählen oder auf den Ein-/Ausschalter drücken.

ANMERKUNG: Für optimalen UKW-Empfang, die UKW–Teleskopantenne vollständig ausziehen. Für optimalen MW-Empfang

wird die eingebaute Ferritantenne des Gerätes benutzt. Hierzu einfach das ganze Gerät drehen oder an einen anderen Ort

stellen.

Wenn die UKW-Stereosignale (UKW ST.) zu schwach sind oder die Hintergrundgeräusche zu stark sind, empfehlen wir auf

UKW umzustellen.

WIEDERGABE EINER CD

• CD-Modus wählen.

• Die Taste Öffnen des CD-Players drücken, eine Disc mit der beschrifteten Seite nach oben einlegen und langsam den

Deckel schließen.

• Auf dem Display erscheint die Anzahl der Titel.

• Nach dem Einlegen der CD einmal die Taste WIEDERGABE drücken, um den ersten Titel abzuspielen.

• Zum Unterbrechen der Wiedergabe, die Taste WIEDERGABE/PAUSE drücken. Zur Wiederaufnahme der Wiedergabe,

erneut auf die Taste WIEDERGABE/PAUSE drücken.

• Zum Beenden der Wiedergabe auf STOPP drücken.

AUSWAHL EINES TITELS IM STOPP-MODUS

• Taste SKIP/SEARCH oder drücken, bis die gewünschte Titelnummer angezeigt wird.

• Zur Wiedergabe des gewählten Titels die Taste WIEDERGABE/PAUSE drücken. Das LCD-Display zeigt die gewählte

Titelnummer an.

• Sie können mit der Taste SKIP zum nächsten Titel springen. Bei jedem Tastendruck von SKIP Auf springt man um einen

Titel nach vorn.

• Wenn Sie im Wiedergabemodus die Taste SKIP drücken, kehren Sie zum Start des aktuellen Titels zurück. Wenn Sie

diese Taste mehr als einmal drücken, kehren Sie bei jedem Tastendruck um einen Titel zurück.

SUCHE NACH EINER BESTIMMTEN STELLE

Während der Wiedergabe die Taste SKIP Auf/Ab gedrückt halten, um den Titel schnell nach vorn oder zurücklaufen zu lassen,

bis Sie die bestimmte Stelle hören. Die Wiedergabe wird beschleunigt und die Lautstärke dabei vermindert. Sobald die Taste

SKIP Auf/Ab gelöst wird, kehrt man zur normalen Wiedergabe zurück.

TITELPROGRAMMIERUNG

Sie können bis zu 20 Titel in jeder Reihenfolge programmieren.

• Die CD-FUNKTIONSTASTE drücken.

• Taste PROG. drücken.

• Die Taste SKIP Auf/Ab drücken, um die zu speichernde Titelnummer zu wählen.

• Nach der Titelwahl Taste PROG drücken.

• Die Schritte 2 und 4 zur Programmierung weiterer Titel wiederholen.

• Nachdem alle Titel programmiert sind, die Taste WIEDERGABE/PAUSE drücken, um die Wiedergabe Ihres Programms zu

starten. Die Wiedergabe erfolgt nun am Anfang des ersten programmierten Titels.

Das im Speicher aufgenommene Programm wird gelöscht, wenn Sie die Radiofunktion wählen oder wenn Sie das Gerät

ausschalten.

MODUSTASTE

Zum Wiederholen eines Titels oder der gesamten CD, die Taste MODE vor oder während der Wiedergabe drücken. Einmal die

Taste MODE drücken, um nur den gerade abgespielten Titel zu wiederholen, dieselbe Taste zweimal drücken, um die ganze

CD zu wiederholen und dreimal drücken, um die Zufallswiedergabe einzuschalten. Diese Taste erneut drücken und der

normale Wiedergabemodus wird wieder hergestellt.

WIEDERGABE VON MP3-DISCS

• Funktion CD/MP3/USB/SD einstellen.

• Auf dem Display erscheint die Anzahl der Titel.

• Zur Wiedergabe des ersten Titels auf die Taste Wiedergabe drücken.

• Zum Unterbrechen der Wiedergabe die Taste WIEDERGABE/PAUSE drücken, dann zur Rückkehr in die normale

Wiedergabe erneut drücken.

• Zum Beenden der Wiedergabe auf STOPP drücken.

TITELPROGRAMMIERUNG

• Sie können bis zu 20 Tracks in jeder Reihenfolge programmieren.

• Funktion CD/MP3/USB/SD einstellen.

• Taste PROG. drücken.

MODUSTASTE (IM USB- UND MP3-MODUS)

WARTUNG & SICHERHEIT

VORKEHRUNGEN & ALLGEMEINE WARTUNG

• Stellen Sie das Gerät auf eine harte und flache Oberfläche, so dass das System nicht kippen kann.

• Setzen Sie das Gerät, die Batterien oder die CD nicht Feuchtigkeit, Regen, Sand oder extremer Hitze durch Heizkörper

oder direktem Sonnenlicht aus.

• Bedecken Sie das Gerät nicht. Angemessene Belüftung mit einem Mindestabstand von

15 cm zwischen den Belüftungslöchern und den umgebenden Flächen ist notwendig, um

einen Hitzestau zu vermeiden.

• Die mechanischen Teile des Geräts enthalten selbstschmierende Lager und dürfen nicht

eingeölt oder geschmiert werden.

• Um das Gerät zu säubern, benutzen Sie einen weichen feuchten Stoff. Benutzen Sie

keine Putzmittel, die Alkohol, Ammoniak, Benzol oder abreibende Substanzen enthalten,

da diese das Gehäuse beschädigen können.

UMGANG MIT DEM CD PLAYER UND DER CD

• Die Linse des CD Players darf niemals berührt werden!

• Plötzliche Änderungen in der Umgebungstemperatur können Kondensation verursachen und die Linse Ihres CD Players

benetzen. Es ist dann nicht möglich eine CD abzuspielen. Versuchen Sie nicht die Linse zu säubern sondern lassen Sie

das Gerät in einer warmen Umgebung bis die Feuchtigkeit verdunstet ist.

• Schließen Sie immer die CD-Klappe, um das CD-Fach staubfrei zu halten.

Zum Säubern, wischen Sie das Fach mit einem weichen, trockenen Stoff

aus.

• Um die CD zu säubern, wischen Sie in geraden Linien von der Mitte bis zu

der Kante mit einem weichen, streifenfreien Stoff. Benutzen Sie keine

Reinigungsmittel, da diese die CD beschädigen können.

• Schreiben Sie niemals auf eine CD und kleben Sie keine Etiketten darauf.

FEHLERHILFE

Wenn ein Fehler auftritt, beachten Sie zuerst die unten aufgelisteten Punkte, bevor Sie das Gerät zur Reparatur bringen.

Öffnen Sie das Gerät nicht, da die Gefahr eines elektrischen Schlags besteht.

Wenn Sie ein Problem nicht durch Befolgung dieser Hinweise beheben können, konsultieren Sie Ihren Verkäufer oder Ihr

13. DAMAGE REQUIRING SERVICE – The appliance should be serviced by qualified service personnel when:

a. The power-supply cord or plug has been damaged.

b. Objects have fallen into, or liquid has been spilled into the appliance enclosure.

c. The appliance has been exposed to rain.

d. The appliance has been dropped, or the enclosure damaged.

e. The appliance does not appear to operate normally.

POWER SOURCES

MAIN SUPPLY

You can connect your portable appliance to a power source. For this connect the power plug with a 230 V~ 50 Hz outlet.

Please confirm that the power cord is correct connected to the unit.

BATTERY OPERATION

Insert batteries type 8 x "C" into the battery compartment. Please check the right battery order to avoid damages on the unit.

Always remove the batteries from the battery compartment when the unit is not going to be used for a long period of time. You

avoid battery leakage, which could damage the unit.

The unit switches automatically from main supply to battery operation. If the power plug is connected, the unit works with main

supply.

Note:

- Only use batteries from the same manufacturer. Never use different types of batteries.

- When you use the unit in battery mode, pull out the power plug.

EAR PHONES

See that the ear phones have a stereo phone jack with Ø 7.14 in and an impedance of 32 W. The speakers will switch off

automatically, when the earphones get inserted.

RADIO RECEPTION

• Set the RADIO mode.

• Set the wave band (AM, FM or FM ST) with the band operation button (16).

• Search for a station with the transmitter search button.

• To switch off the radio, change to CD mode or press the On/Off button.

NOTE: For ideal FM reception pull out the FM telescopic antenna (17) completely. For ideal AM-reception the magnet antenna,

which is attached in the unit, will be used. For this, turn the unit or move it to another place.

If the FM stereo signals (FM ST) are to low, or the background sounds are too loud we suggest switching to FM.

CD PLAYBACK

• Choose CD mode.

• Press the open button on the CD player. Insert a disc with the labelled side up. Close the cover slowly.

• The display shows the number of the tracks.

• After inserting the CD, press the play button to start the first track.

• To interrupt the repeat press the PLAY/PAUSE button (11). To restart the repeat press again the PLAY/PAUSE button (11).

• Press the STOP button to finfish the repeat.

CHOOSE A TRACK IN STOP-MODE

• Press SKIP/SEARCH or till the designated track number will be displayed.

• To start the chosen track press the PLAY/PAUSE button (11). The LCD-display shows the chosen track number.

• With the SKIP button you can skip to the next track. Every time you press the SKIP button you skip to the following

track.

• If you press the SKIP button during the repeat you will remove to the beginning of the current track. If you press this

button more than once, with every press you will remove for one track.

SEARCH OF A PARTICULAR POINT

Press and hold the SKIP button during the repeat to skip fast forward and backward to find the particular point. The repeat will

be forwarded and the sound will get lower. Once you loosen the SKIP button, you will return to the normal repeat.

TRACK PROGRAMMING

You can program up to 20 tracks in every order.

• Press the CD operation button (6).

• Press PROG button.

• Press SKIP button to choose the track number which you would like to save.

• After choosing the desired track, press the PROG button.

• Repeat steps 2 and 4 to program more tracks.

• After programming all tracks press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start your program. The repeat will start at the beginning of

the first programmed track.

The program you saved in the memory will be deleted, when you switch to the radio-mode or when you turn the unit off.

• The display shows the number of the tracks.

• To repeat the first track press the repeat button (4).

• Please press PLAY/PAUSE button to interrupt the repeat. Press it again to return to the normal repeat.

• Press the STOP button to finfish the repeat.

MAINTENANCE & SAFETY

PRECAUTIONS & GENERAL MAINTENANCE

• Place the set on a hard and flat surface so the system does not tilt.

• Do not expose the set, batteries or CD to humidity, rain, sand or excessive heat caused by heating equipment or direct

sunlight.

• Do not cover the set. Adequate ventilation with a minimum gap of 15 cm between the

ventilation holes and surrounding surfaces is necessary to prevent heat build-up.

• The mechanical parts of the set contain selflubricating bearings and must not be oiled or

lubricated.

• To clean the set use a soft dry cloth. Do not use any cleaning agents containing alcohol,

ammonia, benzene or abrasives as these may harm the housing.

CD PLAYER AND CD HANDLING

• The lens of the CD player should never be touched!

• Sudden changes in the surrounding temperature can cause condensation to form and the lens of your CD player to cloud

over. Playing a CD us then not possible. Do not attempt to clean the lens but leave the set in a warm environment until the

moisture evaporates.

• Always close the CD door to keep the CD Compartment dust-free. To

clean, dust the compartment with a soft dry cloth.

• To clean the CD, wipe in a straight lien from the center towards the edge

using a soft, line-free cloth. Do not use cleaning agents as they may

damage the disc.

• Never write on a CD or attach any stickers on it.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If a fault occurs, first check the points listed below before taking the set for repair.

Do not open the set as there is a risk of electric shock.

If you are unable to remedy a problem by following these hints, consult your dealer or service center.
