Please comply with these instructions. If you do not, any damage re-
sulting is not covered by the warranty.

Correct use
• This appliance should be used only for normal domestic cooking and
frying of food.
• The appliance must not be used as a work surface or as a storage sur-
face.
• Additions or modifications to the appliance are not permitted.
• Do not place or store flammable liquids, highly inflammable materials
or fusible objects (e.g. plastic film, plastic, aluminium) on or near the
appliance.
Children’s safety
• Small children must be kept away from the appliance.
• Only let bigger children work on the appliance under supervision.
General safety
• The appliance may only be installed and connected by trained, regis-
tered service engineers.
• Built-in appliances may only be used after they have built in to suita-
ble built-in units and work surfaces that meet standards.
• If there is a fault with the appliance, all hotplates must be switched
off and the appliance must be disconnected from the mains supply to
avoid any possible electric shock.
• Repairs to the appliance must only be carried out by trained, regis-
tered service engineers.

Safety during use
• There is the risk of burns from the appliance if used carelessly.
• Cables from electrical appliances must not touch the hot surface of
the appliance or hot cookware.
• Overheated fats and oils can ignite quickly. When cooking with fat or
oil (e.g when frying chips) do not leave the appliance unattended.
• Switch the hotplates off after each use.
Safety when cleaning
• For cleaning, the appliance must be switched off and cooled down.
• For safety reasons, the cleaning of the appliance with steam jet or
high-pressure cleaning equipment is not permitted.
How to avoid damage to the appliance
• Do not allow acid liquids such as vinegar, lemon juice or limescale re-
moving agents to touch the hob, as otherwise this will cause matt
patches.
• Do not place wet pan lids on the hotplates and do not allow hot pans
to cool on the hotplates. Otherwise condensation and rust can form.
• Do not use the hotplates with empty cookware or without cookware.
• Do not use the cooking zones with empty cookware or without cook-
ware.

Description of the Appliance
Hob Features
Using the Rings
You operate the appliance with the combination appliance’s ring
switches. The operation and the function of the ring switches is de-
scribed in the Operating Instructions for the combination appli-
ance.
1 Warning: The hotplates still remain hot for a time even after being
switched off. There is a risk of burns. Let the hotplates cool down.

Tips on Cooking and Frying
Cookware
You can recognise good cookware from the bottoms of the pans. The
bottom should be as thick and flat as possible.
Energy saving
2 Always place cookware on the hot-
plate before it is switched on.
2 If possible, always place lids on the
pans.
2 Switch hotplates off before the end
of the cooking time, to take advan-
tage of residual heat.

Cleaning and Care

Take care! Risk of burns from residual heat.
Let the appliance cool down.
Cleaning the appliance after each use
1. Wipe the appliance with a damp cloth and a little washing up liquid.
2. Rub the appliance dry using a clean cloth.
Removing deposits
1. Remove heavy deposits from the hotplates using fine scouring powder
or a scouring pad.
2. Wipe off residues with a damp cloth.
3. Then heat the hotplate to a low temperature and leave to dry.
4. To maintain the hotplates, rub in a little sewing machine oil now and
again and then polish off with absorbent paper.
1 Important: Do not clean the stainless steel edge of the hob with scour-
ing powder or a scouring pad as this will leave scratches!
For stainless steel hobs only use suitable stainless steel cleaning and
maintenance products. Please the manufacturer’s instructions.
3 The stainless steel edge of the plate can be slightly discoloured as a re-
sult of thermal load. This process is caused by the physical properties.

What to do if …
If you are unable to remedy the problem by following the above
suggestions, please contact your dealer or the Customer Care De-
partment.
1 Warning! Repairs to the appliance are only to be carried out by quali-
fied service engineers. Considerable danger to the user may result from
improper repairs.
3 If the appliance has been wrongly operated, the visit from the customer
service technician or dealer may not take place free of charge, even
during the warranty period.
Disposal

Packaging material
The packaging materials are environmentally friendly and can be recy-
cled. The plastic components are identified by markings, e.g. >PE<,
>PS<, etc. Please dispose of the packaging materials in the appropriate
container at the community waste disposal facilities.
2 Old appliance
The symbol
W on the product or on its packaging indicates that this
product may not be treated as household waste. Instead it shall be
handed over to the applicable collection point for the recycling of elec-
trical and electronic equipment. By ensuring this product is disposed of
correctly, you will help prevent potential negative consequences for the
environment and human health, which could otherwise be caused by
inappropriate waste handling of this product. For more detailed infor-
mation about recycling of this product, please contact your local city
office, your household waste disposal service or the shop where you
purchased the product.

Installation Instructions
Safety instructions
The laws, ordinances, directives and standards in force in the country of
use are to be followed (safety regulations, proper recycling in accord-
ance with the regulations, etc.)
Installation may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
The minimum distances to other appliances are to be observed.
Drawers may only be installed with a with protective board directly
under the appliance.
The cut surfaces of the work top are to be protected against moisture
using a suitable sealant.
The sealant seals the appliance to the work top with no gap.
Do not use silicon sealant between the appliance and the work top.
Avoid installing the appliance next to doors and under windows. Other-
wise hot cookware may be knocked off the rings when doors and win-
dows are opened.

The combination appliance is live.
• Observe electrical safety rules.
• Ensure anti-shock protection through correct installation by a quali-
fied electrician.
• Rated voltage of the combined appliances must match.
1 Important!

Loose and inappropriate plug and socket connections can lead to
overheating of the plug.
• Fit plug and socket connections together properly.
A device must be provided in the electrical installation which allows the
appliance to be disconnected from the mains at all poles with a contact
opening width of at least 3 mm.
Suitable isolation devices include line protecting cut-outs, fuses (screw
type fuses are to be removed from the holder), earth leakage trips and
contactors.
Move the oven steam outlet pipe with a screwdriver to the centre of
the opening in the hob. Then put the outlet connection piece over the
pipe.

remedy the problem yourself with the help of the operating instruc-
tions (section “What to do if…”).
If you were not able to remedy the problem yourself, please contact the
Customer Care Department or one of our service partners.

Neem deze aanwijzingen in acht, omdat anders bij eventuele schade
het recht op garantie vervalt.
5 Dit apparaat is in overeenstemming met de volgende EG-richtlijnen:

Gebruik volgens de voorschriften
• Dit apparaat mag alleen in het huishouden worden gebruikt voor het
koken, braden en bakken van levensmiddelen.
• Het apparaat mag niet worden gebruikt als werkblad of aanrecht.
• Het is niet toegestaan het appaat om te bouwen of te veranderen.
• Brandbare vloeistoffen, licht ontvlambare materialen of smeltbare
voorwerpen (bijv. folie, kunststof, aluminium) niet op het apparaat of
in de direct omgeving daarvan plaatsen of opbergen.
Veiligheid voor kinderen
• Houd kleine kinderen altijd uit de buurt van het apparaat.
• Grotere kinderen mogen alleen onder begeleiding en toezicht met het
apparaat werken.
Algemene veiligheid
• Montage en aansluiting van het apparaat mogen uitsluitend door een
erkend installateur worden uitgevoerd.
• Inbouwapparaten mogen alleen na het inbouwen in aan de normen
beantwoordende inbouwkasten en werkbladen worden gebruikt.
• Als er storingen aan het apparaat optreden dienen alle kookzones uit-
geschakeld te worden en dient het apparaat van het stroomnet ge-
scheiden te worden, om een mogelijke elektrische schok te
voorkomen.
• Reparaties aan het apparaat mogen alleen door een erkend installa-
teur uitgevoerd worden.

Veiligheid tijdens het gebruik
• Er bestaat verbrandingsgevaar als men tijdens het gebruik van het
apparaat onoplettend is.
• Snoeren van elektrische apparaten mogen niet met hete pannen of
hete kookzonesin aanraking komen.
• Oververhit vet en olie zijn licht ontbrandbaar. Kookprocessen met vet
of olie (bijv. pommes frites) niet zonder toezicht plaats laten vinden.
• De kookzones altijd na gebruik uitschakelen.
Veiligheid bij het schoonmaken
• Voor het schoonmaken moet het apparaat zijn uitgeschakeld en afge-
koeld.
• Uit veiligheidsoverwegingen is het niet toegestaan het apparaat met
een stoom- of een hogedrukreiniger schoon te maken.
Voorkomen van beschadigingen aan het apparaat
• Zuurhoudende vloeistoffen, bijv. azijn, citroen of kalkoplossende mid-
delen mogen niet op de kookplaat komen, omdat er anders matte
plekken ontstaan.
• Geen natte pannendeksels op de kookzones plaatsen en hete pannen
niet op de kookzone laten afkoelen. Anders kunnen er watervlekken
ontstaan en/of kan roestvorming optreden.
• Kookzones niet zonder pan of met een lege pan gebruiken
• De kookzones mogen niet worden gebruikt als er geen pan of een
lege pan op staat.

Beschrijving van het apparaat
Uitrusting kookplaat
Bedienen van de kookzones
U bedient het apparaat met de kookzoneschakelaars van het com-
bi-apparaat. De bediening en functie van de kookzoneschakelaars
zijn beschreven in de gebruiksaanwijzing van het combi-apparaat.
1 Waarschuwing! De kookzones blijven ook na het uitschakelen van het
apparaat nog enige tijd heet. Risico van verbrandingsgevaar is aanwe-
zig. De kookzones laten afkoelen.

Tips voor koken en braden
Kookgerei
Goede pannen herkent u aan de bodem. De bodem dient zo dik en vlak
mogelijk te zijn.
Energiebesparing
2 Pannen altijd vóór het inschakelen,
op de kookzone plaatsen.
2 Pannen, indien mogelijk, altijd met
een deksel afsluiten.
2 Om van de restwarmte gebruik te
kunnen maken, de kookzones vóór
het einde van de kooktijd uitschake-
len.
2 De bodem van de pan en de kookzo-
ne dienen eenzelfde afmeting te
hebben.

Reiniging en onderhoud
1
Voorzichtig! Verbrandingsgevaar door restwarmte.
Laat het apparaat afkoelen.
Reinig het apparaat telkens na gebruik
1. Maak de plaat met een vochtige doek en een klein beetje afwasmiddel
schoon.
2. Wrijf de plaat vervolgens droog met een schone doek.
Verontreinigingen verwijderen
1. Sterke verontreinigingen met fijn schuurmiddel of een schuursponsje
verwijderen.
2. Resterende verontreinigingen met een vochtige doek verwijderen.
3. Daarna de kookzone iets verwarmen en laten drogen.
4. Voor het onderhoud de kookzones af en toe met naaimachineolie in-
wrijven, daarna polijsten met vochtopnemend papier.
1 Let op: De roestvrijstalen rand van de kookplaat niet met schuurmiddel
of een schuursponsje reinigen, omdat dit krassen kan geven!
Alleen voor roestvrijstalen kookplaten geschikt reinigings- en onder-
houdsmiddel gebruiken. Volg de aanwijzingen van de fabrikant a.u.b.
zorgvuldig op.
3 Door de thermische belasting tijdens het koken kan de roestvrijstalen
rand kan de plaat iets verkleuren. Dit is een natuurkundig proces.

Wat is er aan de hand als …
Wanneer u de storing niet kunt verhelpen met de hierboven gege-
ven aanwijzingen, neem dan contact op met uw vakhandel of met
onze service-afdeling.
1 Waarschuwing! Reparaties aan het apparaat mogen alleen door vak-
mensen worden uitgevoerd. Onvakkundige reparaties kunnen tot aan-
zienlijke risico's voor de gebruiker leiden.
3 Bij een onjuiste bediening wordt het bezoek van de servicetechnicus
ook tijdens de garantieperiode in rekening gebracht.
Afvalverwerking

Verpakkingsmateriaal
De verpakkingsmaterialen zijn niet schadelijk voor het milieu en her-
bruikbaar. De kunststoffen hebben de volgende aanduidingen, bijv.
>PE<, >PS<, enz. Verwijder de verpakkingsmaterialen in overeenstem-
ming met de aanduiding bij de gemeentelijke inzamelplaatsen in de
daarvoor bestemde containers.
2 Oud apparaat verwijderen
Het symbool
W op het product of op de verpakking wijst erop dat dit
product niet als huishoudafval mag worden behandeld. Het moet ech-
ter naar een plaats worden gebracht waar elektrische en elektronische
apparatuur wordt gerecycled. Als u ervoor zorgt dat dit product op de
correcte manier wordt verwijderd, voorkomt u mogelijk voor mens en
milieu negatieve gevolgen die zich zouden kunnen voordoen in geval
van verkeerde afvalbehandeling. Voor meer details in verband met het
recyclen van dit product, neemt u het best contact op met de gemeen-
telijke instanties, het bedrijf of de dienst belast met de verwijdering van
huishoudafval of de winkel waar u het product hebt gekocht.

Montageaanwijzing
Veiligheidsvoorschriften
De in het land van gebruik geldende wetten, verordeningen, richtlijnen
en normen moeten in acht worden genomen (veiligheidsvoorschriften,
vakkundige recycling volgens de voorschriften, enzovoort).
De montage mag alleen worden uitgevoerd door een vakman.
De minimale afstanden tot andere apparaten moeten worden aange-
houden.
Laden mogen alleen met een beschermende bodem direct onder
het apparaat worden gemonteerd.
De snijvlakken van het werkblad moeten met een geschikt dichtings-
materiaal worden beschermd tegen vocht.
De dichting zorgt voor een naadloze aansluiting tussen apparaat en
werkblad.
Tussen het apparaat en het werkblad mag geen siliconendichtmiddel
worden aangebracht.
Voorkom het plaatsen van het apparaat direct naast deuren of onder
ramen. Openklappende deuren en openspringende ramen kunnen an-
ders het kookgerei van de kookplaat stoten.
1 WAARSCHUWING!
Risico op verwonding door elektrische stroom.
Het combi-apparaat staat onder spanning.
• Veiligheidsvoorschriften van de elektrotechniek in acht nemen.
• Contactbescherming waarborgen door vakkundige inbouw.
• De nominale spanning van de gecombineerde apparaten moet over-
eenstemmen.
1 LET OP!
Beschadigingen door elektrische stroom.
Loszittende en onjuiste stekkerverbindingen kunnen oververhitting van
de stekker tot gevolg hebben.
• Stekkerverbindingen moeten vakkundig worden aangesloten.
In de elektrische installatie moet een inrichting worden aangebracht,
die het mogelijk maakt het apparaat met een contactopeningswijdte
van min. 3 mm met alle polen van het net te scheiden.
Geschikte scheidingsinrichtingen zijn bijv. automatische zekeringen
(schroefzekeringen moeten uit de fitting geschroefd worden), aardlek-
schakelaar en veiligheidsschakelaars.
• Het aansluitstuk van de dampafvoer van de oven met behulp van een
schroevendraaier onder de opening van het kookveld afstellen. Ver-
volgens de uitlooppijp aanbrengen.
