2 Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung

2.1 Verwendungszweck

Die Bandage ist ausschließlich zur Versorgung der unteren Extremität ein

zusetzen und ausschließlich für den Kontakt mit intakter Haut bestimmt.

Die Bandage muss indikationsgerecht eingesetzt werden.

2.2 Indikationen

• Patellofemorales Schmerzsyndrom (z.B. Chondromalazia Patellae,

Chondropathia Patellae, Retropatellararthrose)

• Femoropatellare Gleitbahnstörungen

• Nach Patellaluxationen/-subluxationen

• Nach Lateral Release-OP

Die Indikation wird vom Arzt gestellt.

2.3 Kontraindikationen

2.3.1 Absolute Kontraindikationen

Nicht bekannt.

2.3.2 Relative Kontraindikationen

Bei nachfolgenden Indikationen ist eine Rücksprache mit dem Arzt erforder

lich: Hauterkrankungen/-verletzungen, Entzündungen, aufgeworfene Narben

mit Schwellung, Rötung und Überwärmung im versorgten Körperabschnitt;

Lymphabfluss-Störungen – auch unklare Weichteilschwellungen körperfern

des Hilfsmittels; Empfindungs- und Durchblutungsstörungen im Bereich des

Beins.

2.4 Wirkungsweise

Die Bandage stabilisiert die Kniescheibe seitlich und wirkt schmerzlindernd.

3 Sicherheit

4 Handhabung

INFORMATION

►Die tägliche Tragedauer und der Anwendungszeitraum werden in der

Regel vom Arzt festgelegt.

►Die erstmalige Anpassung und Anwendung des Produkts darf nur

durch Fachpersonal erfolgen.

►Weisen Sie den Patienten in die Handhabung und Pflege des Produkts

ein.

►Weisen Sie den Patienten darauf hin, dass er umgehend einen Arzt

aufsuchen soll, wenn er außergewöhnliche Veränderungen an sich

feststellt (z.B. Zunahme der Beschwerden).

4.1 Auswählen der Größe

1) Den Umfang des Oberschenkels 15cm oberhalb der Patellamitte mes

sen.

2) Den Umfang des Unterschenkels 15cm unterhalb der Patellamitte mes

sen.

3) Die Größe der Bandage ermitteln (siehe Größentabelle).

4.2 Anpassen und Anlegen

VORSICHT

Falsches oder zu festes Anlegen

Hautirritationen durch Überwärmung, lokale Druckerscheinungen durch zu

festes Anliegen am Körper

►Stellen Sie das korrekte Anlegen und den korrekten Sitz des Produkts

sicher.

►Verwenden Sie das Produkt bei auftretenden Hautirritationen im Zwei

felsfall nicht weiter.

HINWEIS

Verwendung eines verschlissenen oder beschädigten Produkts

Eingeschränkte Wirkung

►Prüfen Sie das Produkt vor jedem Gebrauch auf Funktionstüchtigkeit,

Verschleiß und Beschädigungen.

> Der Patient sitzt an der Vorderkante eines Stuhls.

> Alle Klettverschlüsse der Bandage öffnen.

1) Die Bandage beidseitig am oberen Rand greifen und über das Knie zie

hen, bis der Patellaausschnitt mittig auf der Patella sitzt.

2) Die Gurte zuerst unterhalb und anschließend oberhalb der Patella ver

schließen (siehe Abb.1).

4.3 Reinigung

HINWEIS

►Reinigen Sie das Produkt nur mit den zugelassenen Reinigungsmitteln.

Die Bandage regelmäßig reinigen:

1) Alle Klettverschlüsse schließen.

2) Empfehlung: Waschbeutel oder -netz verwenden.

3) Die Bandage in 40°C warmen Wasser mit einem handelsüblichen Fein

waschmittel waschen. Keinen Weichspüler verwenden. Gut ausspülen.

4) An der Luft trocknen lassen. Direkte Hitzeeinwirkung vermeiden (z.B.

durch Sonnenbestrahlung, Ofen- oder Heizkörperhitze).

These instructions for use provide important information on the fitting and

application of the 8360 Genu Carezza patella stabilizer knee support.

2 Intended use

2.1 Indications for use

The support is intended exclusively for fittings of the lower limbs and exclu

sively for contact with intact skin.

The support must be used according to the indication.

2.2 Indications

• Patellofemoral pain syndrome (e.g.chondromalacia patellae, chon

dropathia patellae, retropatellar osteoarthritis)

• Patellofemoral maltracking

• Following patellar dislocation/subluxation

• After lateral release operations

The indication must be determined by the physician.

2.3 Contraindications

2.3.1 Absolute Contraindications

None known.

2.3.2 Relative Contraindications

The following indications require consultation with a physician: skin dis

eases/injuries, inflammation, prominent scars that are swollen, reddening

and hyperthermia of the fitted limb/body area; lymphatic flow disorders,

including unclear soft tissue swelling distant to the body area to which the

medical device will be applied; sensory and circulatory disorders in the leg

area.

2.4 Mechanism of Action

The support stabilizes the kneecap laterally and relieves pain.

3 Safety

4 Handling

INFORMATION

4.1 Selecting the Size

1) Measure the circumference of the thigh 15cm above the center of the

patella.

2) Measure the circumference of the lower leg 15cm below the center of

the patella.

3) Determine the size of the support (see size chart).

4.2 Fitting and Application

►Ensure that the product is applied properly and fits correctly.

►When in doubt, do not continue to use the product if skin irritation

> Open all hook-and-loop closures on the support.

1) Hold the support by the top edge on both sides and pull it over the knee

until the patella cutout is centered on the patella.

2) Fasten the straps first below and then above the patella (see fig.1).

4.3 Cleaning

►Only clean the product with the approved cleaning agents.

Clean the support regularly:

1) Fasten all hook-and-loop closures.

2) Recommendation: Use a laundry bag or net.

3) Wash the support in warm water at 40°C (104°F) with standard mild

detergent. Do not use fabric softener. Rinse thoroughly.

4) Allow to air dry. Do not expose to direct heat sources (e.g.sunlight,

stove or radiator).

Il est impératif d’utiliser l’orthèse conformément aux indications.

2.2 Indications

• Syndrome douloureux fémoro-patellaire (parex. chondromalacie patel

laire, chondropathie patellaire, arthrose rétropatellaire)

• Troubles du sillon fémoro-patellaire

• Après des luxations/subluxations rotuliennes

• Après une opération chirurgicale de libération latérale

L’indication est déterminée par le médecin.

Les indications suivantes requièrent la consultation d’un médecin: lésions

4 Manipulation

4.1 Sélection de la taille

1) Mesurez la circonférence de la cuisse à 15cm au-dessus du milieu de la

rotule.

2) Mesurez la circonférence du bas de la jambe à 15cm sous le milieu de

la rotule.

3) Sélectionnez la taille de l'orthèse (voir tableau des tailles).

4.2 Ajustement et mise en place

1) Saisissez l’orthèse des deux côtés au niveau du bord supérieur, puis en

filez-la sur le genou de manière à ce que l’ouverture pour la rotule se

trouve au centre de la rotule.

2) Fermez les sangles d’abord en dessous de la rotule, puis au-dessus

(voir ill.1).

4.3 Nettoyage

In presenza delle seguenti controindicazioni è necessario consultare il medi

co: malattie/lesioni della pelle, infiammazioni, cicatrici in rilievo caratterizzate

da gonfiori, arrossamento e ipertermia della parte in cui è applicata l'ortesi;

disturbi del flusso linfatico inclusi gonfiori dei tessuti molli non identificati, in

dipendentemente dall'area del corpo in cui è applicata l'ortesi; disturbi della

sensibilità e circolatori nella gamba.

4 Utilizzo

INFORMAZIONE

►È il medico a stabilire generalmente il tempo di impiego giornaliero e la

durata di utilizzo.

►La prima applicazione del prodotto e il relativo adattamento al corpo

del paziente devono essere eseguiti esclusivamente da personale spe

cializzato.

►Istruire il paziente circa l'uso e la cura corretti del prodotto.

►Il paziente deve essere informato della necessità di recarsi immediata

mente da un medico nel caso in cui notasse cambiamenti inusuali

(p.es. aumento dei disturbi).

4.1 Scelta della misura

1) Misurare la circonferenza della coscia 15cm al di sopra del punto me

diano della rotula.

2) Misurare la circonferenza della gamba 15cm al di sotto del punto media

no della rotula.

3) Determinare la misura della fascia (vedere tabella misure).

4.2 Adattamento e applicazione

CAUTELA

Applicazione errata o troppo stretta

Irritazioni cutanee dovute a riscaldamento eccessivo, formazione di punti di

pressione locali per applicazione troppo serrata sul corpo

►Accertarsi che il prodotto sia stato applicato e rimanga posizionato in

modo corretto.

►Nel dubbio, non utilizzare più il prodotto se insorgono irritazioni cuta

nee.

AVVISO

Utilizzo di un prodotto usurato o danneggiato

Azione limitata

►Verificare la funzionalità, l'usura e l'eventuale danneggiamento del pro

dotto prima di ogni utilizzo.

►Non utilizzare più un prodotto non funzionante, usurato o danneggiato.

> Il paziente è seduto sul bordo anteriore di una sedia.

> Aprire tutte le chiusure a velcro della fascia.

1) Afferrare la fascia sul bordo superiore su entrambi i lati e tirarla sopra il

ginocchio, fino a quando l'apertura per la rotula poggia in posizione cen

trale su quest'ultima.

2) Chiudere le cinture prima sotto e poi sopra la rotula (v. fig.1).

4.3 Pulizia

AVVISO

Utilizzo di detergenti inappropriati

Danni al prodotto dovuti a detergenti inappropriati

►Pulire il prodotto usando esclusivamente i detergenti autorizzati.

Pulire regolarmente la fascia.

1) Chiudere tutte le chiusure a velcro.

2) Suggerimento: per il lavaggio utilizzare una rete o un sacchetto per bian

cheria.

3) La fascia può essere lavata in acqua calda a 40°C utilizzando un comu

ne detergente per prodotti delicati. Non utilizzare ammorbidenti. Risciac

quare con cura.

4) Lasciare asciugare all’aria. Evitare l'esposizione diretta a fonti di calore

(p.es. raggi solari, calore di stufe, termosifoni).

5 Pulizia

AVVISO

►Pulire il prodotto usando esclusivamente i detergenti autorizzati.
