2 PRODUKTBESCHREIBUNG

2.1 Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung

Dieses Gerät ist zum Auflockern und Lüften eines

Rasenbodens (Vertikutieren) im privaten Bereich

bestimmt und darf nur auf abgetrocknetem, kurz-

geschnittenem Rasen eingesetzt werden. Eine

andere, darüber hinausgehende Anwendung gilt

als nicht bestimmungsgemäß.

Dieses Gerät ist ausschließlich für den Einsatz im

privaten Bereich bestimmt. Jede andere Verwen-

dung sowie unerlaubte Um- oder Anbauten wer-

den als Zweckentfremdung angesehen und ha-

ben den Ausschluss der Gewährleistung sowie

den Verlust der Konformität (CE-Zeichen) und die

Ablehnung jeder Verantwortung gegenüber

Schäden des Benutzers oder Dritter seitens des

Herstellers zur Folge.

2.2 Möglicher vorhersehbarer Fehlgebrauch

Rasen benutzen.

2.3 Sicherheits- und Schutzeinrichtungen

Sicherheits-Schaltbügel

Das Gerät ist mit einem Sicherheits-Schaltbügel

ausgestattet, der beim Loslassen das Gerät

stoppt.

Heckklappe

Das Gerät ist mit einer Heckklappe ausgestattet.

Optische Sicherheitsanzeige (Bild I)

■

Die optische Sicherheitsanzeige zeigt die Fi-

xierung der Messerwelle an.

■

Der grüne Stift ist ca. 5 mm sichtbar: die

Messerwelle ist richtig fixiert (Bild I 1).

■

Der grüne Stift ist nicht mehr sichtbar, ein ro-

ter Rand ist sichtbar: die Fixierung der Mess-

erwelle hat sich gelockert (Bild I 2).

■

Die Fixierung der Messerwelle muss kontrol-

liert und verschraubt werden (Bild N).

4 MONTAGE

Gefahren durch unvollständige Mon-

Der Betrieb eines unvollständig montier-

ten Geräts kann zu schweren Verletzun-

gen führen.

Das Gerät nur betreiben, wenn es

vollständig montiert ist!

5 INBETRIEBNAHME

ACHTUNG!

Vor Inbetriebnahme immer eine Sicht-

schädigten oder abgenutzten Schneid-

werk und/oder Befestigungsteilen darf

das Gerät nicht benutzt werden.

Bedienung

5.1 Auftanken

Vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme Öl und Benzin

einfüllen.

Ben-

renherstellers Öl: SAE 10W-30, Füll-

menge: max. 0,25 l bei leerem Öltank

5.2 Öl einfüllen (Bild G)

1. Vertikutierer waagerecht ausrichten:

■

Vertikutierer am Holm nach hinten kip-

pen.

■

Schneidwerk absenken: Drehschalter für

die Arbeitstiefe drücken und auf Stufe "5"

drehen.

2. Öl einfüllen:

■

Ölmess-Stab herausschrauben und Ein-

füllstutzen einstecken.

■

Öl einfüllen (max. 0,25 l bei leerem Öl-

tank).

■

Einfüllstutzen entfernen und Ölmess-

Stab wieder einschrauben.

3. Schneidwerk anheben: Drehschalter für die

Arbeitstiefe drücken und auf Stufe "1" dre-

hen.

ACHTUNG!

Gefahr der Gerätebeschädigung

Das Schneidwerk wird beschädigt, wenn

das Gerät mit abgesenktem Schneid-

werk über eine feste Oberfläche gefah-

ren wird.

■

Schneidwerk anheben: Drehschalter

für die Arbeitstiefe drücken und auf

Stufe "1" drehen.

6 BEDIENUNG

6.1 Allgemeine Hinweise zum Betrieb

■

Zum Starten des Gerätes muss das Schneid-

werk vollständig freigängig sein

■

Das Gerät nur am Führungsholm steuern.

Dadurch ist der Sicherheitsabstand vorgege-

ben

■

Auspuff und Motor sauber halten

■

An Abhängen auf sicheren Stand achten

■

Immer quer zum Hang vertikutieren

■

Nie an steilen Abhängen vertikutieren

■

Vertikutierer nur im Schritt-Tempo führen

■

Gerät nie mit laufendem Motor kippen oder

transportieren

■

Vom Fachmann prüfen lassen:

■

nach Auffahren auf ein Hindernis

■

bei sofortigem Stillstand des Motors

■

bei verbogenem Messer

■

bei verbogener Messerwelle

■

bei defektem Keilriemen

6.2 Benzin einfüllen (Bild H)

HINWEIS

Der Tankdeckel befindet sich auf dem

Benzintank und ist mit dem Symbol

„Zapfsäule“ (Tankstelle) versehen.

6.3 Arbeitstiefe einstellen (Bild I)

ACHTUNG!

Gefahr der Gerätebeschädigung

Die Arbeitstiefe nur bei abgeschaltenem

Motor und stillstehender Messerwelle

einstellen.

Die Arbeitstiefe der Messerwelle an der Wähl-

scheibe einstellen.

1. Vertikutierer am Holm nach hinten kippen.

2. Drehschalter nach unten drücken und auf

Stufe „1“ drehen.

Positionen auf der Wählscheibe:

1 - 5 = Einstellung der Arbeitstiefe

HINWEIS

Bei neuen Messern die Wählscheibe

max. auf Position 2 stellen!

Die richtige Arbeitstiefe richtet sich nach:

■

dem Rasenzustand

■

der Messerabnutzung

Bei falscher Arbeitstiefe:

■

bleibt die Welle stehen

■

zieht der Motor nicht durch

In diesem Fall Wählscheibe auf geringere Ar-

beitstiefe zurückdrehen.

HINWEIS

Vor dem Vertikutieren den Rasen immer

mähen.

HINWEIS

Zündkerzenstecker auf Zündkerze auf-

setzen!

6.4 Motor starten

bei Neustart, längeren Stillstandzeiten und Tem-

peraturen unter 10 °C:

1. Primerknopf „a“ 6x drücken. (Bild K).

2. Primerknopf „b“ 10x drücken. (Bild K).

3. Schalterknopf eindrücken und gleichzeitig

Motorschalterbügel zum Oberholm herziehen

und festhalten (Bild L).

HINWEIS

Motorschalterbügel während des Betrie-

bes festhalten.

1. Starterseil zügig herausziehen und danach

langsam wieder aufrollen lassen (Bild M).

2. Motor warmlaufen lassen.

HINWEIS

Bei betriebswarmem Motor müssen die

Primerknöpfe nicht betätigt werden. Der

Motor hat eine Festgaseinstellung. Eine

Drehzahlregulierung ist nicht möglich.

6.5 Motor ausschalten

1. Motorschalterbügel loslassen. (Bild L).

WARNUNG!

Gefahr durch Schnittverletzungen!

Messerwelle läuft nach! Nach Abschal-

ten nicht sofort unter das Gerät fassen.

6.6 Fangbox ein- aushängen

1. Vor dem Ein-/Aushängen der Fangbox den

Motor ausschalten.

2. Stillstand der Messerwelle abwarten.

7 WARTUNG UND PFLEGE

GEFAHR!

Verletzungsgefahr an der Messerwelle

und an heißen Motorenteilen - Schutz-

handschuhe tragen!

■

Vor allen Wartungs- und Reinigungsarbeiten

den Zündkerzenstecker ziehen! Stillstand der

Welle abwarten.

■

Warten, bis der Motor vollständig abgekühlt

ist.

■

Schutzhandschuhe tragen.

■

Gehäuse darf nicht geöffnet werden.

■

Nur Original-Ersatzteile verwenden.

■

Abgenutzte oder beschädigte Arbeitswerk-

zeuge und Bolzen nur satzweise tauschen,

um Unwucht zu vermeiden.

■

Gerät nicht mit Wasser abspritzen! Eindrin-

gendes Wasser (Zündanlage, Vergaser...)

kann zu Störungen führen.

■

Das Gerät nach jedem Gebrauch reinigen

(Spachtel, Lappen etc.).

7.1 Messerwelle ausbauen (Bild N)

1. Schraube (1) des Lagers herausschrauben.

2. Lagerhälfte (2) hochklappen.

3. Messerwelle aus der unteren Lagerhälfte he-

ben und aus der Antriebseite (3) herauszie-

hen.

Der Einbau erfolgt in umgekehrter Reihenfolge.

7.2 Lüfterwalze ausbauen

Die Lüfterwalze ausbauen und die Stahlfederzin-

ken erneuern erfolgt analog zur Messerwelle.

7.3 Messer ausbauen (Bild O)

HINWEIS

Vor dem Ausbau der Messer auf deren

Einbaulage achten!

1. Skt.-Schraube (1) herausschrauben.

2. Kugellager (2) vorsichtig von der Welle (8)

abziehen.

3. Druckring(3), Scheibe (4) und kurze Distanz-

hülse (5) von der Welle abziehen.

4. Messer (6) und lange Distanzhülsen nachein-

ander abziehen.

Der Einbau erfolgt in umgekehrter Reihenfolge.

7.4 Luftfilter reinigen bzw. ersetzen

Hinweise in der Bedienungsanleitung des Moto-

renherstellers beachten.

7.5 Zündkerze warten

Hinweise in der Bedienungsanleitung des Moto-

renherstellers beachten.

VORSICHT!

Verletzungsgefahr an heißen Motoren-

teilen - Beim Austauschen bzw. Reini-

gen der Zündkerze Schutzhandschuhe

tragen!

Lagerung

7.6 Öl wechseln

HINWEIS

Das Altöl bei warmem Motor ablassen.

Warmes Öl läuft schnell und vollständig

ab.

1. Zum Auffangen des Öls einen geeigneten

Behälter unter den Motor stellen.

2. Ölmess-Stab herausschrauben.

3. Einfüllstutzen einstecken.

4. Gerät am Holm nach hinten kippen bis der

Holm am Boden liegt. Öl vollständig ablaufen

lassen.

5. Gerät aufstellen und waagerecht ausrichten.

Öl (SAE 10W-30, Füllmenge: max. 0,25 l)

einfüllen. Siehe auch Abschnitt "Öl einfüllen

(Bild G)".

6. Einfüllstutzen entfernen.

7. Ölmess-Stab einschrauben.

HINWEIS

Gebrauchtes Motoröl umweltfreundlich

entsorgen!

Wir empfehlen, Altöl in einem geschlos-

senen Behälter beim Recycling-Center

oder einer Kundendienststelle abzuge-

ben.

8 LAGERUNG

9 ENTSORGUNG

Benzin und Motoröl gehören nicht in

den Hausmüll oder Abfluss, sondern

sind einer getrennten Erfassung bzw.

Entsorgung zuzuführen!

Vor der Entsorgung des Geräts müssen der

Kraftstofftank und der Motorölbehälter geleert

werden!

■

Verpackung, Gerät und Zubehör sind aus

recyclingfähigen Materialien hergestellt und

entsprechend zu entsorgen.

2 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

2.1 Designated use

This machine is intended for loosening and aerat-

ing a lawn (scarifying) in private applications, and

is only allowed to be used on dried lawns which

have been mown short. Any use not in accor-

dance with this designated use shall be regarded

as misuse.

This appliance is intended solely for use in non-

commercial applications. Any other use (as well

as unauthorised conversions or add-ons) are re-

garded as contrary to the intended use and will

result in exclusion of the warranty as well as loss

of conformity (CE mark); the manufacturer will

thus decline any responsibility for damage and/or

injury suffered by the user or third parties.

2.2 Possible foreseeable misuse

Do not use the appliance in the rain or on wet

grass.

■

Safety devices must not be dismantled or by-

passed.

2.3 Safety and protective devices

Operator presence control

The machine is equipped with an operator pres-

ence control which stops the machine when it is

released.

Rear flap

The machine is equipped with a rear flap.

Visual safety indicator (Fig. I)

■

The visual safety indicator displays when the

blade shaft is secured.

■

The blade shaft is secured correctly when the

green mark is visible approx. 5 mm (Fig. I 1).

■

If the green mark is not visible any more and

a red mark is visible, the securing of the

blade shaft is loose (Fig. I 2).

■

The securing of the blade shaft must be

checked and bolted (Fig. N).

4 INSTALLATION

Assemble the machine in accordance with the il-

lustrations (Figs. A-F, P).

WARNING!

Danger if assembly is not carried out

completely!

Operation of an incompletely assembled

appliance can result in serious injury.

Only operate the appliance when it

is fully assembled.

■

Check that all safety and protective

devices are in place and functioning

correctly before switching on.

5 START-UP

IMPORTANT!

Always perform a visual check prior to

start-up. Do not operate the machine if

the blade system and/or the fastening

parts are loose, damaged or worn.

■

Heed the country-specific regulations for the

operating times of chain saws

■

Always comply with the operating instructions

supplied from the engine manufacturer

Only refuel outdoors

Do not smoke when refuelling

Do not open the tank cap when the engine is

5.1 Refuelling

5.2 Filling with oil (Fig. G)

1. Aligning the scarifier horizontally:

■

Tilt the scarifier backwards with the han-

dlebar.

■

Lowering the blade system: Push the

twist switch for the working depth and

turn it to level "5".

2. Filling in oil:

■

Unscrew the oil dipstick and insert the fill-

ing neck.

■

Fill with oil (max. 0.25 l if the oil tank is

empty).

■

Remove the oil filling neck and screw the

oil dipstick back in.

3. Raising the blade system: Push the twist

switch for the working depth and turn it to lev-

el "1".

IMPORTANT!

Danger of damage to the appliance

The blade system will be damaged if the

appliance is moved over a solid surface

with the blade system lowered.

and turn it to level "1".

6 OPERATION

6.1 General notes on operation

■

The blade system must be able to turn entire-

ly freely in order for the machine to be started

■

Only control the machine using the handle-

bar. This ensures the necessary safety clear-

ance.

■

Keep the exhaust and engine clean

■

Make sure you can stand securely on slopes

■

Always scarify across the slope

■

Never scarify on steep slopes

■

Always scarify at walking pace

■

Never tilt or transport the machine when the

engine is running

■

Have the machine checked by a specialist if

the following events occur:

■

After running into an obstacle

■

if the engine stops suddenly

■

If a blade is bent

■

If the blade shaft is bent

■

If the V-belt is defective

6.2 Filling with petrol (Fig. H)

NOTE

The tank cap is located on the petrol

tank and is provided with the “petrol

pump” symbol (petrol station).

6.3 Setting the working depth (Fig. I)

IMPORTANT!

Danger of damage to the appliance

Only set the working depth if the engine

is switched off and the blade shaft is

stopped.

Set the working depth of the blade shaft at the di-

al selector.

1. Tilt the scarifier backwards with the handle-

bar.

2. Push the twist switch down and turn it to level

"1".

Positions on the dial selector:

1 - 5 = Setting the working depth

NOTE

With new blades, set the dial selector to

position 2 at most!

The correct working depth depends on:

■

the condition of the lawn

■

the wear on the blades

If the working depth is incorrect:

■

The shaft stops

■

the engine will stall

In this case, move the dial selector back to a

shallower working depth.

NOTE

Always mow the lawn before scarifying.

NOTE

Put the spark plug connector onto the

spark plug.

Maintenance and care

6.4 Starting the motor

During restart, lengthy standstill times and tem-

peratures below 10 °C:

1. Press primer knob “a” 6x. (Fig. K).

2. Press primer knob “b” 10x. (Fig. K).

3. Push in the switch knob and, at the same

time, pull and hold the motor switch bracket

towards the top handlebar (Fig. L).

NOTE

Keep hold of the motor switch bracket

during operation.

1. Pull out the cable starter briskly, and then al-

low it to wind back in slowly (Fig. M).

2. Allow the engine to warm up.

NOTE

The primer knobs do not need to be ac-

tuated when the engine is at operating

temperature. The engine has a fixed gas

setting. Speed control is not possible.

6.5 Switching off the motor

1. Release the motor switch bracket. (Fig. L).

WARNING!

Danger of lacerations!

The blade shaft keeps turning under its

own momentum! After switching off, do

not reach under the machine straight

away.

6.6 Hooking in/unhooking the grass catcher

1. Switch off the engine before hooking in/un-

hooking the grass catcher.

2. Wait for the blade shaft to come to a stop

DANGER!

Danger of injury on the blade shaft and

on hot engine parts - wear protective

gloves!

■

Disconnect the spark plug connector before

any maintenance and cleaning work. Wait for

the shaft to come to a stop.

■

Wait until the engine has fully cooled.

■

Wear protective gloves.

■

Do not open the housing.

■

Only use genuine spare parts.

■

Only renew worn or damaged implements

and pins as a set, in order to avoid imbalanc-

es.

■

Do not spray the equipment with water! Pen-

etrating water (ignition system, carburettor...)

can lead to malfunctions.

■

Clean the machine after each use (scraper,

cloth, etc.).

7.1 Removing the blade shaft (Fig. N)

1. Unscrew and remove the screw (1) of the

bearing.

2. Fold up the bearing half (2).

3. Lift the blade shaft out of the lower bearing

half and pull it out of the drive side (3).

Install in reverse order.

7.2 Removing the aerator roller

Remove the aerator roller and renew the steel

spring tines in the same way as the blade shaft.

7.3 Removing the blades (Fig. O)

NOTE

Before removing the blades, check their

installation position!

1. Unscrew and remove the hexagon bolt (1).

2. Carefully pull the ball bearing (2) off the shaft

(8).

3. Pull the thrust ring (3), washer (4) and short

spacer tube (5) off the shaft.

4. Pull off the blades (6) and long spacer tubes

one after another.

Install in reverse order.

7.4 Cleaning or replacing the air filter

Comply with the operating instructions from the

engine manufacturer.

7.5 Maintaining the spark plug

Comply with the operating instructions from the

engine manufacturer.

CAUTION!

Danger of injury on hot engine parts -

wear protective gloves when replacing

or cleaning the spark plug!

Storage

7.6 Changing the oil

NOTE

Drain off the old oil when the engine is

warm. Warm oil runs out quickly and ful-

ly.

1. Place a suitable container under the engine

to catch the oil.

2. Unscrew the oil dipstick.

3. Insert the filler neck.

4. Tilt the appliance backwards with the handle-

bar until the handlebar lies on the ground. Let

the oil drain fully.

5. Set the appliance upright and align horizon-

tally. Fill with new oil (SAE 10W-30, fill vol-

ume: 0.25 l). See also section "Filling with oil

(Figure G)".

6. Remove the filler neck.

7. Screw in the oil dipstick.

NOTE

Dispose of used engine oil in an environ-

mentally-responsible manner.

We recommend dropping off waste oil in

a closed container at a recycling centre

or a customer service centre.

Do not dispose of waste oil

in domestic waste

■

in sewers or drains

■

or onto the ground

Comply with the operating instructions from the

engine manufacturer.

8 STORAGE

DANGER!

Caution - Risk of fire/explosion!

Do not store the engine close to naked

flames or sources of heat.

■

Allow the engine to cool down.

■

Store the scarifier in a dry room.

■

To save space when storing, unscrew the

wing nuts on the top handlebar and fold it

down.

9 DISPOSAL

■

Petrol and motor oil do not belong in

household waste or the public sewer

system, but should be collected and

disposed of separately.

■

Before disposing of the device you must

empty the fuel tank and the engine oil tank!

■

Packaging, equipment and accessories are

made from recyclable materials, and must be

disposed of accordingly.
