The minibar is designed for free-standing installation, but can be built-in if the follow-
ing conditions are kept to ensure satisfactory operation and maximum cooling effi-
ciency.
The minibar must be levelled carefully to ensure proper function.
The socket outlet for the mains connection must be freely accessible.

Operation RH423, RH429, RH439, RH449
16
The minimum clearance between the minibar‘s back and the surrounding struc-
ture should be as follows:
The ventilation duct must at least measure 105 mm x the width of the minibar.
The entire cooling unit must project into the ventilation duct as shown.
Air passing through the ventilation duct must not be preheated by any source of
heat.
The ventilation duct must be kept free from any obstacles. Especially portable
multi socket outlets or portable power supplies, which can get warm, must not
be kept at the rear of the minibar.
Fix the minibar through its fixing feet as shown (fig. b, page 8).
6Operation
6.1 Before first use
Before first use, clean the minibar inside and outside with a damp cloth for hygienic
reasons (see also chapter “Cleaning and maintenance” on page 19).
6.2 Saving energy
Only open the minibar as often and for as long as necessary.
Allow warm food to cool down first before placing it in the device to keep cool.

6.3 Switching on
!
A
I
1. Place the minibar on a firm base.
2. Connect the connection cable to the AC mains supply.
The minibar performs a selft-test. After approx. 10 seconds the interior light
(fig. 1 3, page 3) illuminates for 2 seconds. In case of a failure the interior light
changes to a constant flashing.
The minibar starts cooling the interior.
WARNING! Suffocation hazard
If children climb into unused minibars and close the door behind them,
they can suffocate inside the device.
If you are not going to use the minibar for a long time, take the following
precautionary steps:
Remove the door.
Leave the shelves in place so that children cannot easily climb inside.
NOTICE! Damage hazard
Ensure that the objects placed in the minibar are suitable for cooling
to the selected temperature.
Ensure that food or liquids in glass containers are not excessively
refrigerated. Liquids expand when they freeze and can therefore
destroy the glass containers.
Ensure that your minibar is well ventilated so that any heat created
can dissipate. Otherwise proper functioning cannot be ensured. It is
especially important not to cover the air vents.
NOTE
The empty minibar needs about 6 to 7 hours at normal ambient tem-
perature to reach the proper temperature in the interior.
A few water drops may form inside the minibar if it has been cooling
for a lengthy period. This is normal because the moisture in the air
condenses to water when the temperature in the minibar falls. The
minibar is not defective. Wipe it out with a dry cloth if necessary.

Adjust the temperature to the quantity and type of the foodstuff.
The minibar is equipped with an automatic temperature regulation function. With
the optional remote control (fig. 0, page 6) you can adjust the temperature to four
