Introduction

We congratulate you on the purchase of your

new product. You have chosen a high quality

product. The instructions for use are part of the

product. They contain important information

concerning safety, use and disposal. Before using

the product, please familiarise yourself with all

of the safety information and instructions for use.

Only use the product as described and for the

speciﬁed applications. If you pass the product on

to anyone else, please ensure that you also pass

on all the documentation with it.

Intended use

This product is intended for removing cold ash

with a temperature not higher than 40 °C, and

other cold small objects from chimneys, charcoal

stoves, ashtrays or barbecue grills.

m WARNING!

u“Cold ash” is ash cooled down for a

suﬃcient time without any pockets of

embers inside. This can be conﬁrmed by

scouring the ash for pockets of embers by

using metal tools before using the product.

Cold ash does not emit any recognizable

heat.

The product is not suitable for vacuuming the

following materials:

Liquids

Soot and glowing embers

Cement, gypsum and lime dust

Any materials that are combustible, explosive

or constitute a health hazard

Heating boilers and oil-burning ovens

m WARNING!

uVacuum only ashes from admissible fuels!

Any other use or modiﬁcation of the product

are considered improper use and can result

in hazards such as death, personal injury and

damage. The manufacturer is not liable for any

damages caused by improper use. The product

is exclusively intended for household use. The

product is not intended for commercial use.

The nozzles [6] [7] are not suitable for cleaning

carpets.

After unpacking the product, check if the delivery

is complete and if all parts are in good condition.

Do not use the product

anymore if it has been

dropped.

Before connecting the power

plug to the power supply:

Check that the voltage and

the current rating correspond

with the power supply details

shown on the product’s rating

label.

Regularly check the power

plug and the power cord for

damages. If the power cord is

damaged, it must be replaced

by the manufacturer, its service

agent or similarly qualiﬁed

persons in order to avoid a

hazard.

Protect the power cord against

damages. Do not let it hang

over sharp edges, do not

squeeze or bend it. Keep the

power cord away from hot

surfaces and open ﬂames.

Operation

40 °C,

Disconnect the product from

the power supply

–when a malfunction occurs,

–before attaching/changing

accessories,

–before cleaning the product,

–if you will not use the product

for a long time,

–during a thunderstorm and

–after each use.

Disconnect the product from

the power supply by pulling

the power plug, but not by

pulling on the power cord.

Defective components must

always be replaced by original

spare parts.

Do not obstruct the ventilation

slots during operation. Risk of

overheating and damage to

the product.

The product is equipped with a

thermal fuse that automatically

cuts oﬀ the power supply if

the product overheats. If this

safety product has turned oﬀ

the product, disconnect the

product from the power supply

and let the product cool. Once

the product has cooled down,

you can connect the product

with the power supply and use

the product normally.

Cleaning and storage

mWARNING! Risk of

injury! Disconnect the

product from the power supply

before cleaning work and

when not in use.

Protect the product, its power

cord and power plug against

dust, direct sunlight, dripping

and splashing water.

Store the product in a cool,

dry place, protected from

moisture and out of the reach

of children.

Protect the product against

heat. Do not place the product

close to open ﬂames or heat

sources such as stoves or

heating appliances.

Before ﬁrst use

m WARNING!

uThe product and the packaging are not

children’s toys! Children must not play with

plastic bags, sheets and small parts! There

is a danger of choking and suﬀocation!

Unpack all parts and remove all packaging

materials.

Make sure the delivery contents are

complete and free of damage (Fig. A, B). If

you ﬁnd that parts are missing or damaged,

do not use the product and contact your

dealer.

Using an incomplete or damaged product

represents a hazard to people and property.

Assembling the swivel casters

Turn over the metal container [5] so that the

bottom surface faces upward.

Align the back of the swivel casters [8]

with the centre marking [] on the metal

container [5].

Slide and press down the swivel casters [8]

until they audibly click into place at the rim of

the metal container [5].

Connecting the hose

Vacuum cleaning

Align [] with the notch in the vacuum

connector [4].

Push the hose coupler [] fully into the

vacuum connector [4].

Turn the hose coupler [] in a clockwise

direction until it is fully engaged.

Check if the hose [9] is installed properly

by pulling the hose coupler [] slightly. If

the hose coupler does not move, the hose is

connected properly.

Blowing air

Align [] with the notch in the blow

connector [1].

Push the hose coupler [] fully into the blow

connector [1].

Turn the hose coupler [] in a clockwise

direction until it is fully engaged and locked

in place.

Check if the hose [9] is installed properly

by pulling the hose coupler [] slightly. If

the hose coupler does not move, the hose is

connected properly.

Disconnecting the hose

Disconnecting the hose [9] from the vacuum

connector [4] or the blow connector [1]:

Rotate the hose coupler [] in an anti-

clockwise direction. Pull out the hose coupler.

Connecting the nozzles

Nozzle Connection

Storing the nozzles and the

hose

Slide one end of a nozzle [6] [7] into the

nozzle holders [] on the container lid [].

There are additional nozzle holders on the

swivel casters [8].

The hose adaptor [] can be stored in the

same way.

container lid

Fixing the container lid []:

– Place the container lid on the metal

container [5].

– Lock the container lid [] in place with the

latches [3].

Removing the container lid []:

– Undo the latches [3].

– Lift the container lid oﬀ the metal

container [5].

Operation

m WARNING! Risk of Injury!

uDo not vacuum incandescent materials.

Even material that looks as though it has

cooled oﬀ on the outside may still be very

hot on the inside. Hot extracted material

could be set alight again in the air current.

uHot ashes should not be purged with

water, as the sudden temperature

diﬀerence can cause ruptures to the

chimney.

uWait at least 24 hours before vacuuming

a ﬁreplace to make sure that the ﬁre has

gone out and the ash has cooled down.

NOTE

uSet the on/oﬀ switch [] to O before

connecting the product with a suitable

power supply.

Connect the power plug [] with a suitable

power supply.

Switching the product on: Set the on/oﬀ

switch [] to I.

Switching the product oﬀ: Set the on/oﬀ

switch [] to O.

Checking the dust ﬁll level

If the red light on the indicator bar [] covers

two thirds or more of the indicator bar's

length: Empty the metal container [5].

NOTE

uThe indicator bar [] works only when the

product is switched on.

Emptying the metal container

m WARNING!

Always switch the product oﬀ and

disconnect it from the power supply

before performing inspections,

installing accessories or making

adjustments!

m WARNING!

uEmpty and clean the product before

and after use to avoid the collection of

materials that could pose a ﬁre hazard in

the vacuum cleaner.

Remove the container lid [] from the metal

container [5] (see “Fixing and removing the

container lid“). Empty the metal container.

Cleaning the pleated ﬁlter

Connect the power plug [] with a suitable

power supply.

Set the on/oﬀ switch [] to I.

Block airﬂow through the hose adaptor []:

Place the hose adaptor on a ﬂat surface.

If the hose adaptor is connected to a

nozzle [6] [7]: Place the nozzle on a ﬂat

surface.

Press and hold the ﬁlter cleaning switch []

5x for approx. 3 seconds. This blows air

through the pleated ﬁlter [].

NOTE

uClean the pleated ﬁlter [] after each

use to preserve the product's full suction

power.

Replacing the pleated ﬁlter

m WARNING!

uCheck the pleated ﬁlter [] regularly for

damage and deformation. A damaged or

deformed pleated ﬁlter cannot be cleaned

and must be replaced. This is necessary

to maintain the functionality of the product

and to protect the product from damage.

uOnly use replacement ﬁlters from Lidl or

authorized resellers. Filters that are not

compatible with the product can lead to

injury and product damage.

Removing the pleated ﬁlter

Set the on/oﬀ switch [] to O.

Disconnect the power plug [] from the

power supply.

Remove the container lid [] from the metal

container [5] (see “Fixing and removing the

container lid“).

Turn over the container lid [].

Hold the pleated ﬁlter [] by the rim. Turn the

pleated ﬁlter in an anticlockwise direction.

Lift the pleated ﬁlter [] together with the

wire mesh [] out of the product.

Take the pleated ﬁlter [] out of the wire

mesh [].

Set the on/oﬀ switch [] to O.

Disconnect the power plug [] from the

power supply.

Remove the container lid [] from the metal

container [5] (see “Fixing and removing the

container lid“).

Turn over the container lid [] and put it to

one side.

Insert the new pleated ﬁlter [] into the wire

mesh [].

Slide the wire mesh [] with the pleated

ﬁlter [] inside over the ﬁlter thread [].

Fixing the pleated ﬁlter [] and the wire

mesh []: Hold the pleated ﬁlter by the

rim. Turn the pleated ﬁlter in a clockwise

direction. Once the pleated ﬁlter is ﬁxed on

the ﬁlter thread [], it holds the wire mesh in

place.

The rim of the wire mesh [] has to press

down the safety switch []. Otherwise, the

product does not operate.

Storage

Set the on/oﬀ switch [] to O. Disconnect

the power plug [] from the power supply.

Let the product cool down.

Clean the product (see “Cleaning and

care“).

Wrap the power cord [] around the power

cord holder [2].

The nozzles [6] [7] can be placed on the

swivel castors during storage (Fig. E).

Store the product and its accessories in a

dark, dry, frost-free, well-ventilated place.

Always store the product in a place that is

inaccessible to children.

The temperature for long term storage

(longer than 3 months) should be between

+10 and +30 °C with a relative humidity not

above 60 %.

Troubleshooting

Fault Possible cause Action

The product does not work. The power plug [] is not

connected to the power supply.

Connect the power plug [] with

a suitable power supply.

The suction power is reduced

and the product does not

vacuum any dirt.

The metal container is [5] full. Empty the metal container [5]

(see “Emptying the metal

container”).

The air path is blocked. Check the following parts for

blockages and remove them:

The pleated ﬁlter [] is

clogged.

Clean the pleated ﬁlter []

(see “Cleaning the pleated

ﬁlter“).

The suction power is reduced

even after cleaning the pleated

ﬁlter [].

The pleated ﬁlter [] is

damaged.

Replace the pleated ﬁlter []

(see “Replacing the pleated

ﬁlter“)

The product overheats. Mesh wire [] or

pleated ﬁlter [] clogged.

Clean the mesh wire [] and the

pleated ﬁlter [] (see “Cleaning

the pleated ﬁlter“).

Dust escapes from the product. The container lid [] was not

installed correctly.

Install the container lid []

correctly (see “Fixing and

removing the container lid”).

Transportation

Set the on/oﬀ switch [] to O. Disconnect

the power plug [] from the power supply.

Let the product cool down.

Protect the product from any heavy impact

or strong vibrations which may occur during

transportation in vehicles.

Secure the product to prevent it from slipping

or falling over.

Cleaning and care

m WARNING!

Always switch the product oﬀ, pull

the power plug out of the socket and

let the product cool down before

performing inspection, maintenance

and cleaning work!

Never let ﬂuids get into the product.

The product must always be kept clean, dry

and free from oil or grease. Remove dust

from the product after each use and before

storage.

Regular and proper cleaning will help ensure

safe use and prolong the life of the product.

Clean the product with a dry cloth. Use a

soft brush for areas that are hard to reach.

This product does not contain any parts

that can be repaired by the user. Contact

an authorized service centre or a similarly

qualiﬁed person to have it checked and

repaired.

m ATTENTION!

uDo not use any abrasive, aggressive

cleaners, hard brushes, or sharp objects to

clean the product or its accessories. Risk of

product damage.

Disposal

The packaging is made entirely of recyclable

materials, which you may dispose of at local

recycling facilities.

Observe the marking of the packaging

materials for waste separation, which

are marked with abbreviations (a) and

numbers (b) with following meaning:

1–7: plastics / 20–22: paper and

ﬁbreboard / 80–98: composite

materials.

The product and packaging materials

are recyclable, dispose of it separately

for better waste treatment.

The Triman logo is valid in France only.

Contact your local refuse disposal

authority for more details of how to

dispose of your worn-out product.

To help protect the environment, please

dispose of the product properly when

it has reached the end of its useful

life and not in the household waste.

Information on collection points and

their opening hours can be obtained

from your local authority.
