EXPLOSION HAZARD
Never use petrol or other
flammable liquids to clean the
compressed air device! Residual
fumes in the compressed air
device could be ignited by sparks
and cause the compressed air
device to explode. Do not work
with the devices in explosion
hazard areas where combustible
liquids, gases or dusts are
present. Never work on materials
which are or could potentially
be highly flammable or explosive.
Always use the devices for
the specific applications
for which they have been
designed!
Never use hydrogen, oxygen,
carbon dioxide or any other
bottled gas as the source of
energy for this tool, since this
may cause an explosion and
lead to serious injury.
The devices must not be
altered. Alterations may com-
promise the effectiveness of the
safety measures and increase
the risks for the operating
personnel.
Do not point the devices at
people and/or animals.
Do not create any sparks or
light an open fire.
Detach the hose from the
compressed air supply first,
before you remove the supply
hose from the devices.
This will prevent a situation
where the supply hose whips
around uncontrollably or
recoils.
Wear personal protective
equipment and safety goggles
at all times. Depending on the
type of compressed air tool
and how it is used, wearing
personal protective equipment
such as a dust mask, non-slip
safety shoes, safety goggles,
a hard hat and hearing
protection can lessen the risk
of injuries.
Stay focused while working!
Unexpected movements of the
devices can be hazardous.
When not in use, keep com-
pressed air devices out of the
reach of children. Do not let
anyone use the devices if they
are not familiar with their
use or have not read these
instructions. Compressed air
devices are dangerous when
they are used by inexperi-
enced persons.

as work stoppages or
transporting the device.
When undoing the hose
coupling, keep a firm grip
of the hose in order to avoid
injuries caused by a hose
flicking back.
Look out for damage. Before
setup or first use, check the
devices for any damage.
Should the devices exhibit any
defects, then they should not be
used under any circumstances.
Ensure hoses cannot become
kinked or crushed, and keep
them away from solvents and
sharp edges. Also keep
hoses away from heat,
oil and rotating parts.
Please also follow the safety
instructions from the spraying
substance manufacturer.
Do not use the devices if you
are tired or under the influence
of drugs, alcohol or medicines.
A brief moment of carelessness
when using the devices can
result in serious injuries.
Do not remove the rating
plates, they are safety-related
elements of the devices.
Only qualified and trained
operators should set up, adjust
or use the devices.
Only use accessories and
additional devices which are
specified in the operating
instructions. Use of accessories
other than those recommended
in the operating instructions
can mean there is a risk of
injury to you.
The devices must not be
altered. Modifications can
reduce the effectiveness
of safety precautions and
increase the level of risk for the
operator.
Keep hands and other parts of
the body away from rotating
parts Otherwise there is a risk
of injury.
Check all connections and
supply lines. The specifications
of maintenance units, cou-
plings and hoses must match
the rated values for the device
in terms of pressure and air-
flow rate. The devices will not
work properly if the pressure
is too low, while excessive
pressure can cause damage
and injuries.

Safety instructions for
fine spray systems
Keep your work area clean,
well-lit and free of paint or
solvent containers, cloths and
other flammable substances.
Possible risk of spontaneous
combustion. Keep fully-
functional fire extinguishers/
extinguishers available at all
times.
Make sure there is good
ventilation in the spraying
area and that there is sufficient
fresh air in the entire room.
Vaporised flammable solvents
create an explosive
environment.
Do not spray or clean with
substances which have a
flashpoint below 21°C.
Use water-based substances,
non-volatile hydrocarbons or
similar substances. Volatile
vaporised solvents create an
explosive environment.
Do not spray near sources of
ignition such as static electrical
sparks, naked flames, pilot
lights, hot objects, motors, ciga-
rettes and sparks from plugging
power cables in and out or
use of switches. These types of
sources of sparks can lead to
ignition of the environment.
Do not spray any substances
where it is not known
whether they represent a risk.
Unknown substances can
create hazardous conditions.
Wear additional personal
protective equipment such as
appropriate protective gloves
and protective or breathing
masks when spraying or
handling chemicals.
Wearing protective equipment
appropriate for the conditions
reduces the exposure to
hazardous substances.
Never spray yourself,
other people or animals.
Keep your hands and other
parts of the body away from
the spray jet. If the spray
jet penetrates the skin seek
medical attention immediately.
The substance to be sprayed
can even penetrate through
a glove into the skin and be
injected into your body.
Do not treat an injury from
a jet as a harmless cut.
A high-pressure jet can ‘inject’
poisons into the body, which
can result in serious injuries.
Accordingly, seek immediate
medical attention for any skin
injury caused by a jet.
Pay close to any possible
dangers of the substance to be

sprayed. Observe the mark-
ings on the container or the
manufacturer’s information for
the substance to be sprayed,
including the requirement
to use personal protective
equipment. The manufacturer’s
instructions must be followed,
in order to reduce the risk of
fire as well as injuries caused
by poisons, carcinogens, etc.
Never spray without the
nozzle head fitted. The use of
a special nozzle insert with
the matching nozzle head
reduces the probability that a
high-pressure jet penetrates the
skin and injects poisons into
the body.
• Using the device
• Connect the devices
The product must be used exclusively
with compressed air that is clean,
moisture-free and oil-free and must not
exceed the maximum working pressure to
the devices as specified in the “Technical
specifications” section.
To be able to control the air pressure, the
compressed air supply must be equipped
with a (filter) pressure regulator.
To operate these devices you need a flexible
compressed air hose with quick coupling
and an appropriate compressed air supply.
Follow the operating and safety instructions
for the compressed air supply and special
instructions for paint application.
PLEASE NOTE!
fMake sure you are using the correct
working pressure. Working pressure that
is too high leads to powerful fine disper-
sion and means that the liquid vaporises
too quickly. The surfaces become rough
and poor adhesion properties develop.
If the working pressure is too low, the
paint substance will not be sufficiently
atomised. The consequences are wavy
surfaces and formation of droplets.
Connect the compressed air hose with
the quick coupling
