Battery Installation for the Remote Control
1. Press and lift the back cover to open the battery compartment of the remote control.
2. Insert two AAA size batteries. Make sure to match the (+) and (–) ends of the batteries
with the (+) and (–) ends indicated in the battery compartment.
3. Close the battery compartment cover.
Handling the Remote Control
• Take care of your fingernails when you press and hold the battery release tab.
• Do not drop or cause impact to the remote control.
• Do not spill water or any liquid on the remote control.
• Do not place the remote control on a wet object.
• Do not place the remote control under direct sunlight or near sources of excessive
heat.
• Remove the battery from the remote control when not in use for a long period of time,
as it could cause corrosion or battery leakage and may result in physical injury and/or
property damage including fire.
Handling the Battery
• Improper or incorrect use of batteries may cause corrosion or battery leakage, which
could cause fire, personal injury or damage to property.
• Install the battery correctly by following the polarity (+ and –) indications in the
battery compartment.
• When the battery is exhausted, the remote control will not function.
• Only use the battery type indicated in this manual.
• Do not dispose of the used battery as domestic waste. Dispose of it in accordance with
the local regulations.

Mains Power
• This unit was designed to operate with an AC 100-240V ~50/60Hz power.
• Unwind the mains cable to its full length. Connect the mains plug to the mains socket.
Make sure the mains plug is firmly inserted into the mains socket. The unit is now
connected and ready to use.
• To switch the unit off completely, withdraw the mains plug from the mains socket.

Both the DVD Player and the discs are coded by
region. These regional codes must match in order to
play the disc. If the codes do not match, the disc will
not play.
The Region Number for this DVD Player is described
on the bottom of the DVD Player.

Some recorded files may not be able to be played due to
the type and format of disc or condition of the recording.

Powering ON/OFF
Connect the unit to the mains socket. The unit will enter STANDBY mode. LED indicator
will illuminate red.
• Press the POWER
button to switch the unit on.
• Press the POWER
button to switch the unit back to STANDBY mode.
• Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket if you want to switch the unit off
completely.
• If the unit is idle for more than 20 minutes, the unit will automatically switch off.
• While idling, a pop up warning window will display for 2 seconds before the unit
turns itself off. Press any button to extend the time.
DVD Playback
Loading a disc
1. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to open the disc tray, place a disc into the disc tray
with the label facing up.
• For a double-sided disc, load the side which you want to play facing down.
• There are two different disc sizes. Place the disc in the correct guide on the disc tray.
If the disc is out of the guide, it may damage the disc and cause the DVD player to
malfunction.
• Do not place a disc which is unplayable in this DVD player.
2. Press the OPEN/CLOSE
button to close the disc tray, the playback will automatically
start.
• Some discs may not playback automatically, you can press the PLAY/PAUSE
button to start playback.
3. Depending on the disc, a menu may appear on the TV screen by pressing and holding
the ZOOM/MENU button on the remote control. Press the
buttons on the
remote control to select menu options and press the OK button on the remote control
to start, or press digits to select a menu options directly.
“
” may appear on the TV screen during operation. “ ” means that the operation
is not permitted by the DVD Player or the disc.
The DVD Player will switch to screen saver mode after being idle for sometime.
Press any button to exit the screen saver.

Selecting Modes
Press the V-MODE button repeatedly on the remote control to switch between RGB and
CVBS modes.
Setup
Press the SETUP button on the remote control to display the setup menu.
Pause Playback
1. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to pause playback (still mode). The sound will be
muted during still mode.
2. Press the PLAY/PAUSE
button again to resume normal playback.
Stop Playback
1. Press the STOP button on the remote control to go to pre-stop mode, the TV screen
will display “ ”. With some discs, the DVD player can recall the stopped location, such
as on DVDs.
2. Press the PLAY/PAUSE
button to resume playback from the location where playback
was stopped or from the beginning of the disc.
3. Press the STOP
button on the remote control twice to stop completely.
Volume Adjustment
1. Press the VOL+/– buttons on the remote control to adjust the volume.
2. Press the MUTE button on the remote control to switch the sound off, the “
” icon
will show on the display. Press the MUTE button on the remote control again or the
VOL+/– buttons on the remote control to cancel this function.
Previous and Next
3. During playing, press the button on the remote control to go back to the start of
the previous chapter. Each press of this button will skip a chapter until the start of the
disc.
4. Each press of the
button on the remote control during playing will skip the current
chapter and play the next one.
Fast Forward and Fast Reverse
1. Press the button on the remote control to fast reverse / fast forward through
the disc. Each time the button on the remote control is pressed, the fast reverse
/ fast forward motion speed changes. There are 5 levels of speed available: x2, x4, x8,
x16 and x32.
2. Press the PLAY/PAUSE
button to resume normal playback.

Menu
While playing the disc, press and hold the ZOOM/MENU button on the remote control to
go to main menu if the function is available in the disc.
Title
With some DVD discs, press and hold the SUBTITLE/TITLE button on the remote control
to display the title menu. You can press the Number 0-9 buttons or the buttons to
select the chapters preferred. Press the OK button to play. (Depending on the DVDs)
Audio Channel
Press the AUDIO/ANGLE button on the remote control repeatedly to select different audio
languages.
Subtitle Language
Press the SUBTITLE/TITLE button on the remote control repeatedly to switch between
different subtitle languages that are available in the disc.
Goto
During playing, press the GOTO button on the remote control to bring up “search” window.
Angle Selection
Some DVDs contain scenes which have been shot from a number of different angles. For
these discs, the same scene can be viewed from each of these different angles.
1. While you are playing a DVD with
different angles recorded, press
and hold the AUDIO/ANGLE
button on the remote control to
view the number of current angles
available.
2. Press and hold the AUDIO/ANGLE
button on the remote control
repeatedly to change the scene to
the next recorded angle.
• After approximately 2 seconds, playback will continue from the new angle you
selected.
• If no button is pressed within 10 seconds, playback continues without changing the
current angle.
• This function can only be used for discs on which scenes shot from
multiple angles have been recorded.
• If only one angle is recorded, “
” will show on the display to show
that multi-angle is not available.

During playing, press the DISPLAY button on the remote control to show the Current Title
/ Current Chapter / Title Elapsed / Title Remain / Chapter Elapsed / Chapter Remain.
Zoom
1. Press the ZOOM/MENU button on the remote control repeatedly to cycle through all
the zoom levels. You can enlarge the screen to Zoomx1, Zoomx2, Zoomx4.
2. To resume normal viewing, press the ZOOM/MENU button on the remote control until
the Zoomx1 indicator appear shows on display.

Playing an Audio or a JPEG Picture CD
1. While in ON mode, press the OPEN/CLOSE button and the disc door will open.
2. Place the CD/MP3/WMA/JPEG disc with the label side up into the CD compartment,
and then press the OPEN/CLOSE
button to close the disc door.
3. Insert an audio CD, playback will start automatically;
Insert a MP3/WMA/JPEG disc, File Browser menu will show on the display.
• This unit can play CD, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3, WMA, JPEG discs.

Rotate
1. Press the buttons on the remote control to rotate the photo by 90°/180°/270°
clockwise or anti-clockwise during the photo playback.
• All the rotation effects will be cancelled after exiting the slideshow mode.

Display Setup
TV Standard
Select the TV playing system according to the local TV
system (NTSC / PAL / AUTO).
PAL: This is the format used in UK, EU.
NTSC: This format is used by some other countries.
e.g. USA.
Display Type
Select the aspect ratio of viewing screen if the disc has
more than one aspect ratio.
4:3: Select “Aspect Ratio: 4:3” for outputting 4:3 ratio
video for a conventional size TV. Black bands might
appear on the screen if playing non 4:3 video.
16:9: Select “Aspect Ratio: 16:9” for outputting 16:9 ratio
video for a widescreen TV. Black bands might appear
on the screen if playing non 16:9 video.
Customising the System Settings
1. Press the SETUP button on the remote control to display the setup menu.
2. Press the
buttons on the remote control to select System, and then press the
button or the OK button on the remote control to confirm.
3. Press the
buttons on the remote control to select Language Setup / Display
Setup / Preference / Exit, and then press the button on the remote control to
confirm.
4. Press the
buttons on the remote control to select an option, then press the OK
button on the remote control to display the options.
