Familiarize yourself with all the operating

and safety instructions before using the

1. Appliance description

1.1 Intended purpose

The raclette grill SilverCrest SRG 1200 A2

is suitable for grilling and cooking food.

Only use the raclette grill indoors, never use

outside.

The appliance must not be used for thawing,

warming or drying items.

This product is intended for use in private

households and is not suitable for

commercial purposes.

The appliance is likewise suitable for:

• use in staff kitchens in shops, offices and

other commercial areas,

• use in agricultural settings,

• customers in hotels, motels and other

accommodation,

• bed-and-breakfast establishments.

and understand the hazards involved.

•Cleaning and user maintenance shall

not be made by children unless they

are older than 8 and supervised.

•Keep the appliance and its cord out

of reach of children less than 8 years.

•The metallic surfaces of the appliance

can get hot. Only hold the appliance

by the handle

•Always remove the plug from the

mains socket before starting to clean

the appliance.

•Never immerse the appliance in

water, and protect it from splashes

and water droplets.

•Before cleaning, allow the appliance

to cool down to avoid the risk of

burns.

•It is not permissible to use charcoal or

similar fuels with this appliance.

Caution! To avoid material damage,

please observe the following conditions.

•Never use abrasive, corrosive or

caustic cleaning materials. These

could damage the appliance as well

as the non-stick coating.

•The appliance must not be operated

with an external time switch or

separate remote control system, such

as a wireless remote control socket.

4.3 General information

• Please read these user instructions

carefully before use. They are a

constituent part of the appliance and

must be kept to hand at all times.

• Use the appliance only for the purpose

described (see “1.1 Intended purpose”

on page 2).

• To prevent damage, check that the

mains voltage required (see type plate

on the appliance) is compatible with

your mains voltage.

• Please note that any claim under the

warranty or for liability will be invalid if

accessories are used that are not

recommended in these user instructions,

or if original spare parts are not used for

repairs. This also applies to repairs

undertaken by unqualified persons. The

contact data can be found in “Service

Centre” on page 10.

• If the appliance should develop a fault

during the warranty period, it may only

be repaired by our Service Centre.

Otherwise all claims under warranty are

null and void. The contact data can be

found in “Service Centre” on page 10.

• To ensure you can intervene promptly if

a fault occurs, never leave the appliance

unsupervised during operation.

• Ensure that it is not possible for anyone

to trip over or to get caught up in or step

on the mains cable and injure

themselves.

• The appliance may only be used on a

firm, level, dry and non-flammable

surface. This will prevent it from tipping

over, sliding or setting fire to the surface

and causing damage.

• Maintain a distance of at least 50 cm

from other objects to prevent them from

catching fire.

• The appliance must not be placed on

hot stoves, put in a hot oven or set up in

the vicinity of gas heaters and on-

demand water heaters, as this could

cause damage.

• Only use implements made from wood

or heat-resistant plastic. Metal

implements may damage the coated

surface of the grill plate 1 and the

raclette pans 7.

• Do not leave empty raclette pans 7 on

the plates while the appliance is heating

up or during use. Overheating may

result in damage to the non-stick coating.

• Do not place any items on the

appliance.

4.4 Protection against electric shock

Warning! The following safety

information is intended to protect

you against electric shock.

• The appliance must not under any

circumstances be used if it is damaged.

Have the device repaired in such cases

by a qualified specialist. The contact

data can be found in “Service Centre”

on page 10.

• If the mains cable for this appliance is

damaged, it must be replaced by the

manufacturer or a person with similar

qualifications in order to avoid a

hazard.

• Water or other liquids must never be

allowed to enter the appliance. For this

reason:

– never use it outdoors

– never immerse it in liquids

– never place liquid-filled objects, e.g.

pans, on the appliance

– never use in very humid environments.

If liquid should enter the appliance,

unplug the mains plug immediately and

have the appliance repaired by a

qualified technician. The contact data

can be found in “Service Centre” on

page 10.

• The appliance must be connected up to

a mains socket with earthing contact.

• Avoid using extension cables. An

extension cable may only be used under

very specific conditions:

– the extension cable must be suitable

for the current rating of the appliance;

– the extension cable must be routed

across surfaces or the floor (not

allowed to hang in mid air); ensure

the cable is out of the reach of

children and does not pose a tripping

hazard;

– never use a damaged extension

cable;

– do not connect any other appliances

to the mains socket as this could

overload the mains supply (do not use

multi-sockets).

• Do not touch the grill, the mains cable or

the mains plug with wet hands.

• Always unplug the mains cable by

pulling out the plug. Never pull on the

cable to remove the plug.

• Never carry the appliance by the mains

cable.

• Ensure that the mains cable is not kinked,

twisted or crushed.

• Fully unwind the mains cable during use

to avoid overheating and scorching.

• Keep the mains cable away from hot

surfaces, such as cooker hotplates.

• Always turn the temperature regulator 9

to "0" before pulling the plug out of the

wall socket so that the appliance is

switched off and no heavy current is

flowing.

• If you are not going to use the appliance

for a while, remove the plug from the

wall socket. This is the only way to

ensure that the machine is completely

free of current.

• If the appliance is connected to the

mains it may be damaged by lightning

during thunderstorms.

4.5 Protection against scalds and burns

Warning! Hot surfaces and

boiling fat can cause injuries.

Please note therefore:

• Do not move the appliance while in use.

• Use oven gloves when cooking food at

high temperature. Otherwise, splashed

fat could cause burns.

• Do not use the appliance without the

grill plate 1. Otherwise, the heating

elements will be exposed posing a risk

of severe burns if touched.

• If fat on the appliance catches fire do

not use water to extinguish the

fire! There is a risk of explosion or

electric shock. Instead, use a fire blanket

or other appropriate method.

• Never use the appliance near curtains

and other flammable materials. If the

grilled food catches fire, the flames

could easily spread to other objects.

4.6 For the safety of your child

Warning! Children are often

unaware of danger and are injured

as a result. Please note therefore:

•Only allow children to use this

appliance under the supervision of an

adult.

• Ensure the appliance is always kept out

of the reach of children.

• Ensure that children cannot pull the

appliance down onto themselves with

the cable.

• Ensure that the packing foil does not

become a deadly trap for a child.

Packing foils are not toys.

5. Before using for the first time

During manufacture, many parts are given a

thin film of protective oil. Before using the

appliance for the first time, heat it up without

any food so that any residues can

evaporate.

Note: When heating up for the first few

times a slight smell may be produced. Make

sure the room is adequately ventilated.

1. Take the appliance and all the

accessory parts out of the packaging.

2. Check that the appliance shows no signs

of damage.

3. Remove any labels or stickers (but not

the type plate on the underside).

4. Clean the appliance before using it for

the first time. Observe the information in

the section entitled “6. Operation” on

page 7.

5. Select a location that is firm, level and

not flammable. Maintain a distance of

approx. 50 cm from other objects.

6. Turn the temperature regulator 9 to "0".

This switches the appliance off.

7. Plug the mains plug into a suitable mains

socket that corresponds to the technical

data.

8. Turn the temperature regulator 9 to

MAX.

The indicator lamp 8 lights up and the

appliance heats up.

9. Leave the appliance switched on for

around 10 - 15 minutes.

10.Switch the appliance off by turning the

temperature regulator 9 to "0".

11. Take out the mains plug and allow the

appliance to cool down.

12.Clean the appliance again. Observe the

information in the section entitled

“6. Operation” on page 7.

6. Operation

6.1 Preparing the appliance,

switching on and off

1. Select a location that is firm, level and

not flammable. Maintain a distance of

approx. 50 cm from other objects.

2. Turn the temperature regulator 9 to "0".

This switches the appliance off.

3. Grease the raclette pans lightly 7 on the

inside. Lightly grease the top surface of

the grill plate 1.

Note: Use kitchen paper dipped in a

little cooking oil.

4. Plug the mains plug into a suitable mains

socket that corresponds to the technical

data.

5. Turn the temperature regulator 9

clockwise to MAX.

The indicator lamp 8 lights up and the

appliance heats up.

6. Allow the appliance heat up for around

10 minutes.

The appliance is now ready to use.

7. To turn the appliance off, turn the

temperature regulator 9 one notch

anticlockwise towards "0".

8. Remove the plug from the mains socket

after use. This is the only way to ensure

that the machine is completely free of

current.

6.2 Regulating temperature

The best cooking temperature depends

chiefly on the type of food being cooked.

Note: When maintaining a steady

temperature to reheat food the indicator

lamp will always show 8.

1. If the temperature is too high, turn the

temperature regulator 9 one notch

towards "0".

2. If the temperature is too low and it is

taking too long to cook, turn the

temperature regulator 9 one notch

towards MAX.

6.3 Preparing the raclette

1. Fill the raclette pans 7 with your chosen

ingredients.

Caution! Do not overfill the pans 7,

otherwise the ingredients could be too

thick and could burn.

2. Put the raclette pans 7 on the grill in the

recesses 4.

3. Remove the raclette pans 7 from the

appliance as soon as the ingredients are

cooked.

4. Slide the contents of the raclette pan 7

onto a plate using the wooden

spatula 11 and enjoy.

Note:As the raclette pans 7 have an

anti-stick coating, they do not require

oiling before each use.

6.4 Grilling with the grill pan

The grill plate 1 is for grilling meat,

sausages, fruit and vegetables.

7. Cleaning

Warning! To avoid the danger of

an electric shock or damage:

– Remove the plug from the mains

socket before starting to clean the

appliance.

– Never immerse the appliance in

water, and protect it from splashes

and water droplets.

– Before cleaning, allow the appliance

to cool down to avoid the risk of

burns.

Caution! Never use abrasive, corrosive or

caustic cleaning materials. This may damage

the appliance and the coated surface of the

grill plate 1 and raclette pans 7.

Note: Don’t wait too long to wash after

cooling so that the food remains don’t dry

on and become difficult to remove.

7.1 Cleaning the base section

1. Clean the base section 6 with a damp

cloth. A little washing-up liquid may also

be used.

2. Wipe off with fresh water.

3. Do not use the machine again until it is

fully dry.

7.2 Cleaning the grill plate and

accessories

1. Clean the grill plate 1, raclette pans 7

and wooden spatula 11 in warm water

by hand.

2. If heavily soiled, leave parts to soak in

warm water for about 20 – 30 minutes.

You could add a few drops of mild

washing-up liquid.

3. Carefully dry all parts after cleaning.

8. Disposal

8.1 Appliance

The symbol with the crossed-

out rubbish bin on wheels

means that within the European

Union, the product must be

disposed of to a sorted rubbish

collection. This applies to the

product and all accessories which are

marked with this symbol. Marked products

must not be disposed of via the regular

domestic waste but must be handed in to a

recycling centre for electrical or electronic

devices. Recycling helps to reduce the use of

raw materials and to relieve the

environment. It is therefore imperative that

you follow the disposal regulations

applicable in your country.

8.2 Packaging

If you wish to discard the packaging, please

observe the applicable environmental

regulations in your country.

9. HOYER Handel GmbH Warranty

Dear Customer,

You have a warranty on this product which

is valid for 3 years from the date of

purchase. In the event of this product being

defective, you have statutory rights against

the seller of the product. These statutory

rights are not limited by our warranty as set

out below.

Warranty conditions

The warranty period begins with the date of

purchase. Please keep the original till receipt

in a safe place. This is required as your

proof of purchase.

If a defect in materials or workmanship

occurs within three years of the date your

product was purchased, we will repair or

replace the product at our discretion at no

charge to you. This service under warranty

assumes that the defective product and the

proof of purchase (till receipt) are submitted

within the three-year period and that a brief

description in writing is provided of what the

defect is and when it occurred.

If the defect is covered by our warranty, the

repaired product or a new one will be sent

back to you. There is no new warranty

period following repair or replacement of

the product.

Warranty period and statutory claims

relating to defects

The warranty period is not extended when a

service is provided under warranty. This also

applies to replaced and repaired parts. Any

damage or defects present at purchase must

be reported immediately the product is

unpacked. Repairs incurred once the warranty

period has expired are chargeable.

Scope of warranty

The product has been carefully

manufactured in accordance with strict

quality guidelines and was thoroughly

checked before being delivered.

The warranty applies to defective materials

or workmanship. This warranty does not

extend to product parts exposed to normal

wear and tear (and which can therefore be

considered wear parts) or to damage to

fragile parts such as switches, batteries or

parts made of glass.

This warranty is void if the product is

damaged or if it is not used or maintained

properly. All the information in the operating

instructions should be observed precisely to

ensure that the product is used properly.

It is essential to avoid intended uses and

actions which are discouraged or warned

against in the operating instructions.

The product is intended for only private use

and not for commercial purposes.

Grill raclette należy użytkować wyłącznie w

– do przedłużacza nie można

podłączać żadnych innych urządzeń

poza grillem, gdyż może to

spowodować przeciążenie instalacji

elektrycznej (zakaz stosowania

przedłużaczy z kilkoma gniazdami!).

• Nigdy nie chwytać urządzenia, kabla

sieciowego ani wtyczki mokrymi rękami.

• Kabel sieciowy odłączać zawsze

trzymając za wtyczkę. Nigdy nie

ciągnąć za sam kabel sieciowy.

• Nigdy nie przenosić urządzenia

trzymając za kabel sieciowy.

• Nie załamywać i nie przygniatać kabla

sieciowego.

• Przed włączeniem grilla należy

całkowicie rozwinąć kabel sieciowy, aby

zapobiec przegrzaniu i przepaleniu.

• Nie dopuszczać do kontaktu kabla

sieciowego z gorącymi powierzchniami

6. Obsługa

6.1 Przygotowanie, włączanie i

wyłączanie urządzenia

1. Wybrać stabilne, równe i niepalne

miejsce ustawienia. Zachować odstęp

ok. 50 cm od innych przedmiotów.

2. Ustawić regulator temperatury 9 na „0“.

W ten sposób urządzenie jest

wyłączone.

3. Lekko naoliwić od wewnątrz patelenki

do raclette

7. Lekko naoliwić z wierzchu

płytę do grillowania 1.

Wskazówka: Użyć do tego ręcznika

papierowego, nasączonego paroma

kroplami oleju jadalnego.

4. Podłączyć przewód zasilający do

odpowiedniego gniazdka sieciowego,

którego parametry są zgodne z danymi

technicznymi urządzenia.

5. Obrócić regulator temperatury 9 w

kierunku zgodnym z ruchem wskazówek

zegara i ustawić na MAX.

Świeci się lampka kontrolna 8

i urządzenie rozgrzewa się.

6. Rozgrzać wstępnie urządzenie przez

ok. 10 minut.

Teraz urządzenie jest gotowe do pracy.

7. W celu wyłączenia urządzenia, obrócić

regulator temperatury 9 w kierunku

przeciwnym do ruchu wskazówek

zegara i ustawić w pozycji "0".

8. Po użyciu wyciągnąć wtyczkę sieciową

z gniazda sieciowego. Tylko wtedy

od napięcia.

6.2 Regulacja temperatury,

włączanie i wyłączanie

Optymalna temperatura zależy przede

wszystkim od rodzaju przyrządzanych

Wskazówka: W momencie włączania

się ogrzewania w celu utrzymania

temperatury, zapala się też lampka

kontrolna 8.

1. Jeśli temperatura jest za wysoka, obrócić

nieco regulator temperatury 9 w

kierunku "0".

2. Jeśli temperatura jest za niska i smażenie

trwa za długo, obrócić nieco regulator

temperatury 9 w kierunku MAX.

6.3 Przyrządzanie raclette

1. Napełnić patelenki do raclette 7

wybranymi składnikami.

Uwaga! Nie napełniać zbyt wysoko

patelenek do raclette 7, gdyż składniki

będą wówczas za blisko grilla i mogą

się przypalić.

2. Ustawić patelenki do raclette 7

w przewidzianych do tego

zagłębieniach grilla 4.

3. Wyjąć patelenki do raclette 7

z urządzenia, gdy składniki są gotowe.

4. Zawartość patelenek do raclette 7

przełożyć drewnianą łopatką 11 na

talerz i przystąpić do jedzenia.

Smacznego!

Wskazówka: Ponieważ patelenki do

raclette 7 posiadają powłokę

zapobiegającą przywieraniu, to przed

włożeniem każdej następnej porcji nie

trzeba ich smarować olejem.

wszystkim do beztłuszczowego grillowania

mięsa, kiełbasek, owoców i warzyw.

7. Czyszczenie

Ostrzeżenie! Aby zapobiec

porażeniu prądem lub

uszkodzeniu:

– Przed czyszczeniem zawsze

wyjąć wtyczkę z gniazdka

sieciowego.

– Nigdy nie zanurzać urządzenia

w wodzie i chronić je przed

pryskającą lub kapiącą wodą.

– Przed czyszczeniem wystudzić

urządzenie do tego stopnia, aby

nie zachodziło ryzyko

poparzenia.

Uwaga! Nie stosować środków do

szorowania ani żrących lub drapiących

środków do czyszczenia. W ten sposób

można uszkodzić urządzenie lub powłokę

zapobiegającą przywieraniu potraw na

Wskazówka: Nie zwlekać długo

z myciem po wystygnięciu płyty, gdyż

7.1 Czyszczenie podstawy

1. Wyczyścić podstawę grilla 6 wilgotną

ściereczką. Można użyć nieco płynu do

mycia naczyń.

2. Następnie wytrzeć powierzchnię czystą

wodą.

3. Urządzenie wolno włączyć ponownie

dopiero po jego całkowitym

wyschnięciu.

7.2 Czyszczenie płyty do grillowania i

osprzętu

1. Wymyć ręcznie płytę do grillowania 1 ,

patelenki do raclette 7 i łopatki

drewniane 11 w wodzie z dodatkiem

płynu do mycia naczyń.

2. W przypadku mocno zapieczonych

resztek potraw namoczyć elementy

przez 20 – 30 min. w ciepłej wodzie.

Do wody można dodać parę kropli

łagodnego płynu do mycia naczyń.

3. Po wymyciu starannie wysuszyć

wszystkie części.
