this happens, do not change the position of the receiver and the
position of the laser line can be marked on the surface using apen-
cil according to the marks on the sides of the receiver.
yIf the laser line is located above the centre line level of the receiver,
this will be accompanied by an intermittent beeping sound with
ahigher frequency. If this happens, lift the receiver higher so that
the laser line reaches the level of the centre line of the receiver,
which will be accompanied by continuous beeping.
yIf the laser line is located below the centre line level of the receiver,
this will be accompanied by an intermittent beeping sound with
alower frequency. If this happens, move the receiver lower so that
the laser line reaches the level of the centre line of the receiver,
which will be accompanied by continuous beeping.
V. Safety information,
maintenance, storage
•ATTENTION
yProtect the device against impacts and falls (mechanical impacts).
yProtect the receiver against the ingression of water, rain and
against dust.
yPrevent the device from coming into contact with organic solvents
and their fumes.
yIf the device has its volume set to ahigher level, hold it at asuffici-
ently safe distance from your ears since the high tone may damage
hearing. The highest volume is automatically set when the device is
turned on, however, the sound can be lowered or turned off entirely.
yWhen using alaser device, follow the safety instructions for self-
-levelling laser devices.
The device creates an electromagnetic eld during operati-
on, which may negatively aect the operation of active or
passive medical implants (pacemakers) and threaten the
life of the user. Prior to using this device, ask adoctor or the
manufacturer of the implant, whether you may work with this device.
yFor cleaning the surface of the device, use adamp cloth, prevent
water from entering the device. Do not use abrasive cleaning pro-
ducts or organic solvents to clean the device. This would result in
damage to the outer plastic housing of the device.
yStore the device in asafe location that is out of reach of children
where temperatures do not exceed 40°. Protect the device against
direct sunlight, radiant heat sources, high humidity and ingression
of water. When not using the device for an extended period of
time, remove the batteries. Do not store the device in freezing
temperatures with the batteries inserted inside.
SETTING SELFLEVELLING FOR THE LASER
SOURCE LASER BEAM SOURCE
yIn order for the receiver to detect the laser beam of aself-levelling
laser source, the following conditions must be met:
a) Requirements for frequency, max. frequency variance, class
and colour of the laser, that are specified in the technical specifi-
cations (chapter II. of this user‘s manual) must be met.
b) The self-levelling laser device must be turned on in the
pulse mode (fig. 8).
If the pulse mode of the self-levelling laser device is not acti-
vated, the receiver will not detect the laser beam. Figure 4lists
the described models of the self-levelling laser devices of the
Fortum® and Extol® Premium brands from our product oering,
which may be used with this receiver if they are turned on with
the pulse mode activated.
In the older version of the self-levelling laser user‘s manual
shown in g. 4, the pulse mode is called „setting higher bri-
ghtness intensity or change of intensity of the laser lines, etc.“.
Therefore, to set the pulse mode for these models of self-leve-
lling laser devices, follow the instructions for setting adierent
brightness or intensity of the laser lines.
The button for activating/deactivating the pulse mode
is, as arule, marked on self-levelling laser devices using
this symbol .
•ATTENTION
yPrior to purchasing aself-levelling laser device that is dif-
ferent to those listed in fig. 4, first verify the compatibility
of the laser source with this model of receiver. The receiver
may be compatible with self-levelling lasers of other
brands normally available on the market.
INSTALLING THE RECEIVER INTO THE HOLDER
yThe holder screw can be screwed into the thread on the rear side
of the receiver and the receiver with the holder is mounted on to
aheight gauge/levelling staff (fig. 1- fig. 3).
IV. Receiver indication based
on the position of the laser line
yFig. 9shows the receiver indication based on the position of the
laser line relative to the centre line of the receiver.
yIf the laser line is at the level of the centre line of the
receiver, it will be accompanied by continuous beeping,
indicating that the laser line has been located by the receiver. If
