Precautions on each part
Power plate
Do not use the appliance
in the following ways:
Use outside the rated voltage.
Use with an outlet connected with multiple
plugs.
(Sharing the same outlet with other
instruments may cause the branch socket to
overheat,resultinginare.Besuretousean
outlet rated at 7Aorhigherexclusivelyforthe
appliance.)
Use that may damage the power cord. (For
example,thepowercordmustnotbemodied,
bent forcibly, placed near a high temperature
area, pulled, twisted, bundled, placed under a
heavy object, tucked, or used while bent.)
Use while the plug has dust adhering to
itorleftdamaged.(Completelywipeo
dust.)
Use with the plug not completely
plugged to an outlet.
Plugging and unplugging with wet
hands.
Use with the main unit connector or the
power plate connector connected with a
pin, wire, or other metal object (foreign
object). Also, do not use the appliance
when it is dusty.
Thisistoavoidelectricshockorinjuries.Failuretoobservethemmaycauseare,short
circuit, smoking, or ignition.
In case of breakage, consult the place of purchase.
Do not drop or jolt the power plate.
Doing so may cause an electric shock. It may also cause overheating or a malfunction.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.
Failure to do so may cause a malfunction or accident.
Be careful to avoid any spillage on the connector during cleaning, lling or
pouring.
• Leave unplugged when not in use.
• Be sure to grip the plug when removing the power cord.
This is to avoid burns or injuries. Failure to do so may cause an electric shock, short circuit, or
ignitionduetodeterioratedinsulation,orreduetoashort-circuit.
Do not use a power plate other than the designated plate for this product. Also
do not use the power plate for any other appliances.

Main unit Lid
Do not apply physical shock
to the main unit.
Do not drop the appliance or allow
it to hit another object.
Do not tip the appliance over.
Do not shake it up and down
vigorously.
Do not tilt or rock it.
Do not hold it in your arms too
close to your body.
Do not tilt or tip over the appliance
even if it is locked. Otherwise,
hot water may spill out, resulting
in burns or injuries, or causing a
malfunction.
Ifexcessiveshockhasbeenapplied
to the appliance, stop using it and
consult the place of purchase.
Do not place the appliance
on a gas ame or use it with
an electrical heater, induction
heating cooker, microwave
oven, or other such
appliances.
Thisistoavoidre,discolorationdue
toexposuretoheat,deformation,or
malfunction.
Never ll the kettle beyond the
maximum level indication.
Ifthekettlehasbeenoverlled,
boiling water may be ejected from
the spout and cause scalding.
Do not block the spout of the
appliance with a cleaning
cloth or other items.
Doing so may cause boiling water to
be ejected from the spout and cause
scalding. It may also cause the lid to
deform.
Take care to avoid boiling with
no water.
Repeated boiling with no water
may cause heat discoloration or
malfunction of the inner container.
Attach the lid tightly until it
clicks. P. 9
Failure to do so may cause burn
injuries because boiling is not
stopped, the lid is removed when
pouring hot water, or hot water spills
out when the main unit is tipped over.
Do not attach the lid too
forcefully.
Do not open or close the lid
for a few moments after water
has boiled.
This is to avoid burns due to steam.
Replace the lid gasket when it
has turned white.
Otherwise, hot water may spill out if the
appliance tips over, resulting in burns.
Keep a safe distance from
steam or condensation when
removing the lid.
Coming into contact with either may
result in burns.
When carrying the main unit,
do not touch the open/close
levers of the lid.
Otherwise,thelidmaycomeo,
causing burns or injuries.
Do not boil water with the
dispense lock button in the
Unlocked status.
This is to avoid burns due to steam
coming out of the spout. It may also
cause burns due to boiling water
splashing out if the appliance falls.
Furthermore,itmayextendthetime
requiredforboilingorcauseawall
or furniture to discolor, deform, or
break due to steam or heat.
Position the lid so that steam is
directed away from the handle.
Failure to do so may result in burns.
