Electrocution hazard

• Do not operate the cooling device if it is visibly

damaged.

• If this cooling device's power cable is damaged,

it must be replaced by the manufacturer, a ser-

vice agent or a similarly qualified person in order

to prevent safety hazards.

• This cooling device may only be repaired by

qualified personnel. Improper repairs can lead

to considerable hazards.

Health hazard

• This device can be used by children aged from

8 years and above and persons with reduced

physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of

experience and knowledge if they have been

given supervision or instruction concerning use

of the device in a safe way and understand the

hazards involved.

• Children shall not play with the device.

• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be

made by children without supervision.

• Children aged from 3 to 8 years are allowed to

load and unload cooling devices.

Explosion hazard

• Do not store any explosive substances such as

spray cans with a flammable propellant in the

cooling device.

Fire hazard

• When positioning the device, ensure the supply

cord is not trapped or damaged.

• Do not locate multiple portable socket-outlets or

portable power supplies at the rear of the

device.

• Keep the ventilation openings on the device

housing or in installations free of obstructions.

• Do not use any mechanical objects or other

means to speed up the defrosting process,

unless they have been recommended by the

manufacturer for this purpose.

• Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.

CAUTION! Failure to obey these

cautions could result in minor or

moderate injury.

Health hazard

• Please check if the cooling capacity of the device

is suitable for storing the food or medicine you

wish to cool.

• Food may only be stored in its original packag-

ing or in suitable containers.

• Opening the lid for long periods can cause

significant increase of the temperature in the

compartments of the device.

• Clean regularly surfaces that can come in contact

with food and accessible drainage systems.

• If the device is left empty for long periods:

– Switch off the device.

– Defrost the device.

– Clean and dry the device.

– Leave the lid open to prevent mould

developing within the device.

NOTICE! Damage hazard

• Only carry the cooling device upright.

• Check that the voltage specification on the type

plate corresponds to that of the energy supply.

• Do not use electrical devices inside the cooling

device unless they are recommended by the

manufacturer for the purpose.

• Hazard from excessively low temperature

Ensure that only those objects are placed in the

cooling device that are intended to be cooled at

the selected temperature.

• The cooling device shall not be exposed to rain.

Intended use

The cooling box is suitable for cooling food. The

cooling box is also suitable for use on vehicles. The

cooling box is designed to be operated from a DC

power supply socket of a vehicle or from an AC

power supply.

The cooling box is suitable for camping use.

The cooling box is not suitable for:

• storage of corrosive, caustic or solvent-contain-

ing substances

• freezing of food

This cooling box is not intended to be used as a

built-in appliance.

This cooling box is only suitable for the intended

purpose and application in accordance with these

instructions.

This manual provides information that is necessary

for proper installation and/or operation of the

cooling box. Poor installation and/or improper

operating or maintenance will result in unsatisfac-

tory performance and a possible failure.

The manufacturer accepts no liability for any injury

or damage to the product resulting from:

• Incorrect assembly or connection, including

excess voltage

• Incorrect maintenance or use of spare parts

other than original spare parts provided by the

manufacturer

• Alterations to the product without express per-

mission from the manufacturer

• Use for purposes other than those described in

this manual

Operation

Saving energy

• Choose a well ventilated location which is

protected from direct sunlight.

• Allow warm food to cool down first before

placing it in the cooling device to keep cool.

• Do not open the cooling device more often than

necessary.

• Do not leave the cooling device open for longer

than necessary.

• If the cooler has a basket: For optimal energy

consumption, position the basket according to

its position on delivery.

• On a regularly basis, make sure the lid seal still

fits properly.

Operating

To avoid food waste, note the following:

• Keep temperature fluctuation as low as possible.

Only open the cooling box as often and for as

long as necessary. Store the foodstuff in such a

way that the air can still circulate well.

• Adjust the temperature to the quantity and type

of the foodstuff.

• Foodstuff can easily absorb or release odor or

taste. Always store foodstuff covered or in

closed containers/bottles.

The statutory warranty period applies. If the

product is defective, please contact the

manufacturer's branch in your country (see

dometic.com/dealer) or your retailer.

For repair and warranty processing, please include

the following documents when you send in the

device:

• A copy of the receipt with purchasing date

• A reason for the claim or description of the fault

Disposal

recycling waste bins wherever possible.

• Reinigen Sie regelmäßig Oberflächen, die mit

Lebensmitteln und zugänglichen Entwässe-

rungssystemen in Berührung kommen können.

• Wenn das Gerät für längere Zeit leer steht:

– Schalten Sie das Gerät aus.

– Tauen Sie das Gerät ab.

– Reinigen und trocknen Sie das Gerät.

– Lassen Sie den Deckel offen, um Schimmel-

bildung im Gerät zu verhindern.

ACHTUNG!

Beschädigungsgefahr

• Transportieren Sie das Kühlgerät nur aufrecht.

• Prüfen Sie, ob die Spannungsangabe auf dem

Typenschild mit der vorhandenen Energie-

versorgung übereinstimmt.

• Benutzen Sie keine Elektrogeräte innerhalb des

Kühlgerätes, außer wenn diese Elektrogeräte

vom Hersteller dafür empfohlen werden.

• Gefahr durch zu niedrige Temperatur

Achten Sie darauf, dass sich nur Gegenstände

im Kühlgerät befinden, die auf die gewählte

Temperatur gekühlt werden dürfen

• Das Kühlgerät darf keinem Regen ausgesetzt

werden.

Bestimmungsgemäßer

Gebrauch

Die Kühlbox eignet sich zum Kühlen von Lebens-

mitteln. Die Kühlbox ist auch für den Einsatz in

Fahrzeugen geeignet. Die Kühlbox kann über den

Gleichstromanschluss eines Fahrzeugs oder am

Wechselstromnetz betrieben werden.

Die Kühlbox ist für den Einsatz beim Camping

geeignet.

Die Kühlbox ist nicht für folgende Verwendungs-

zwecke geeignet:

• Lagerung von korrosiven, ätzenden oder

lösungsmittelhaltigen Stoffen

• Einfrieren von Lebensmitteln

Diese Kühlbox ist nicht für den Einsatz als Einbau-

gerät geeignet.

Diese Kühlbox ist nur für den angegebenen Ver-

wendungszweck und die Anwendung gemäß die-

ser Anleitung geeignet.

Dieses Handbuch enthält Informationen, die für

die ordnungsgemäße Installation und den ord-

nungsgemäßen Betrieb der Kühlbox erforderlich

sind. Installationsfehler und/oder ein nicht ord-

nungsgemäßer Betrieb oder nicht ordnungsge-

mäße Wartung haben eine unzureichende

Leistung und u. U. einen Ausfall des Geräts zur

Folge.

Betrieb

Energie sparen

• Wählen Sie einen gut belüfteten und vor Son-

neneinstrahlung geschützten Stellplatz.

• Lassen Sie warme Speisen erst abkühlen, bevor

Sie sie im Gerät kühl halten.

• Öffnen Sie das Kühlgerät nicht häufiger als nötig.

• Lassen Sie das Kühlgerät nicht länger offen ste-

hen als nötig.

• Wenn das Gerät über einen Korb verfügt: Um

einen optimalen Energieverbrauch zu erreichen,

positionieren Sie den Korb auf die gleiche Weise

wie bei der Auslieferung.

• Prüfen Sie in regelmäßigen Abständen, ob die

Dichtung des Deckels noch richtig sitzt.

Bedienung

Um Lebensmittelverschwendung zu vermeiden,

beachten Sie bitte Folgendes:

• Halten Sie Temperaturschwankungen so gering

wie möglich. Öffnen Sie die Kühlbox nur so oft

und so lange wie nötig. Lagern Sie Lebensmittel

so, dass die Luft immer noch gut zirkulieren

kann.

• Passen Sie die Temperatur der Menge und Art

der Lebensmittel an.

• Lebensmittel nehmen leicht Gerüche auf und

geben Gerüche oder Aromen ab. Lagern Sie

Lebensmittel daher stets abgedeckt oder in

geschlossenen Behältern bzw. Flaschen.

Garantie

Zur Reparatur- bzw. Gewährleistungsbearbeitung

müssen Sie folgende Unterlagen mitschicken:

• eine Kopie der Rechnung mit Kaufdatum,

• einen Reklamationsgrund oder eine Fehler-

beschreibung.

Entsorgung

➤Geben Sie das Verpackungsmaterial möglichst

in den entsprechenden Recycling-Müll.

Wenn Sie das Produkt endgültig außer

Betrieb nehmen, informieren Sie sich

bitte beim nächsten Recyclingcenter

oder bei Ihrem Fachhändler über die

zutreffenden Entsorgungsvorschriften.

• Cet appareil peut être utilisé par des enfants

capacités physiques, sensorielles ou mentales

réduites ou un manque d’expérience et de

connaissances, s’ils sont sous surveillance ou ont

• Les enfants ne doivent pas jouer avec cet appa-

reil.

• Le nettoyage et la maintenance ne doivent pas

être effectués par des enfants sans surveillance.

• Les enfants âgés de 3 à 8 ans peuvent charger et

décharger les appareils de réfrigération.

• Ne stockez aucune substance explosive comme

Risque d’incendie

• Veillez à ne pas coincer ni endommager le cor-

don d’alimentation lors de la mise en place de

l’appareil.

• Ne placez pas de multiprises portables ou de

blocs d’alimentation portables à l'arrière de

l’appareil.

• Dégagez les ouvertures d’aération sur le bâti de

l'appareil ou dans les éléments encastrés.

• N’exploitez aucun objet mécanique ou tout

autre moyen pour accélérer le processus de

dégivrage, sauf si le fabricant le recommande.

• N’endommagez par le circuit frigorifique.

mises en garde peut entraîner des

blessures légères ou de gravité

modérée.

• Veuillez vérifier si la puissance frigorifique de

l'appareil correspond à la température de

conservation recommandée pour les aliments

ou les médicaments que vous souhaitez conser-

ver au frais.

• Les aliments ne peuvent être conservés que

dans leurs emballages originaux ou dans des

récipients appropriés.

• Une ouverture prolongée de l’appareil de réfri-

gération peut entraîner une augmentation signi-

ficative de la température dans les

compartiments de l’appareil.

• Nettoyez régulièrement les surfaces qui entrent

en contact avec les aliments, ainsi que les sys-

tèmes de drainage accessibles.

• Si l’appareil reste vide pendant une longue

période :

– Éteignez l’appareil.

– Dégivrez l’appareil.

– Nettoyez et séchez l’appareil.

– Laissez la porte ouverte pour éviter la forma-

tion de moisissures à l’intérieur de l’appareil.
