Intended use
This mini-speaker is a consumer electronics device intended
exclusively for audio playback from mobile devices, such as
MP3 players, mobile telephones, etc., via a 3.5 mm jack
connection. This device is exclusively intended for non-com-
mercial use. The device is not intended for any other use or
for uses extending beyond those stated. Claims of any kind
for damage arising as a result of non-intended use will not
be accepted. The user is the sole bearer of the risk.
Safety
This section provides you with important safety information
regarding the handling of the device. The device complies
with the statutory safety regulations. Incorrect usage can
lead to personal injury and property damage.
Basic safety instructions
For safe handling of the device, follow the safety information
below:
Before use, check the device for visible external damage.
Do not use a device that has been damaged or dropped.

Damaged cables or connections should be replaced by
the Customer Service department.
This device is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with limited physical, physiological or intel-
lectual abilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge
unless they are supervised by a person who is responsi-
ble for their safety, or receive instructions from this person
on how to use the device. Children should be supervised
to ensure that they do not play with the device.
DANGER! Do not allow children to play with the
packaging material! Keep all packaging materials away
from children. Risk of suffocation!
Always have repairs carried out by authorised special-
ist companies or the Customer Service department.
Improper repairs can pose significant risks to the user.
Warranty claims also become void.
Repairs to the device during the warranty period may only
be carried out by a customer service department author-
ised by the manufacturer. Otherwise no additional war-
ranty claims can be considered for subsequent damage.
Do not make any unauthorised modifications or altera-
tions to the device.
Never open the housing. There are no user-serviceable
or swappable components inside the device.
Do not operate the device close to naked flames (e.g.
candles).

Do not place the device in locations that are subject to
direct sunlight as this could lead to overheating and
cause irreparable damage.
Protect the device from moisture and liquid penetration.
Never submerge the device in water and do not place
objects filled with liquids (such as vases) on the device.
If you see smoke or smell burning, unplug all connectors
immediately and switch off the device. Have the device
checked by a qualified specialist, before using it again.
DANGER
Erroneous handling of the battery can lead
to fire, explosions, leakage of hazardous
substances or other dangerous situations!
Do not throw the device into fire, since the integrated
battery may explode.

Disposal of packaging
The packaging protects the device from transport damage.
The packaging materials have been selected in accordance
with their environmental friendliness and disposal attributes,
and are therefore recyclable.
The recirculation of packaging into the material
circuit saves on raw material and reduces the
amount of waste generated. Dispose of
packaging material that is no longer needed in
accordance with applicable local regulations.
Requirements for the setup location
For safe and trouble-free operation of the device, the setup
location must fulfil the following requirements:
The device must be placed on a firm, flat and level surface.
Do not place the device in a hot, wet or extremely moist
environment or close to flammable materials.
Set up the device so that it is not exposed to direct sun-
light or strong artificial light.

Handling and use
This section provides you with important information on
handling and using the device.
Charging the battery
The integrated battery must be fully charged before using
the device.
Ensure that the On/Off switch

is in the OFF position.
Connect the USB connector of the charging cable

to a PC or a USB power supply.
Connect the Mini USB connector of the charging
cable

to the POWER INPUT connection socket

of the device. The operating LED

illuminates in red
and the battery is charged.

NOTE
The operating LED

illuminates in red during the
charging procedure and in blue after the battery has
been fully charged.
The maximum charging time is about 4 hours, and
allows music to be played for up to 8 hours at a
volume level of 50%.
As soon as the operating LED
3
illuminates in red,
the battery is empty and requires charging.
Speaker operation
Completely unwind the speaker cable

from the
cable storage (underside of device).
Connect the 3.5 mm jackplug of the speaker cable

to your playback device.
Switch the speaker on by moving the On/Off
switch

to the ON position. The operating
LED

illuminates in blue.
Switch on your player and select the required volume
using the volume control

To obtain a rich bass tone, move the BASS switch

to the ON position.
To switch the speaker off again, move the On/Off
switch

to the OFF position. The operating LED

Aux-In operation
Many electronic entertainment devices are equipped with
a 3.5 mm jack socket. If your player has a connector that
differs from the audio output socket, use a suitable adapter if
necessary, or connect it to the AUX-IN

connection socket
using an adapter cable. The relevant adapter/adapter
cable is available from specialist dealers.
NOTE
If you have connected playback devices to the AUX-
IN connection socket

and the speaker cable

at the same time, only the sound from the AUX-IN
connection socket

will be played.

Fault rectification
This section contains important information on fault localisa-
tion and rectification. Observe the instructions in order to
avoid risks and damage.
Malfunction causes and remedies
The following table will help with localising and remedying
minor malfunctions:

Cleaning
CAUTION
Possible damage to the device
To avoid irreparable damage, ensure that no mois-
ture enters the device during cleaning.
Clean the housing of the device only with a lightly mois-
tened cloth and a mild detergent.
Storage/Disposal
Storage when not in use
Switch off the speaker by moving the On/Off switch

to the OFF position.
Wind the speaker cable

clockwise onto the cable
storage and clip the 3.5 mm jackplug into the recess.
Store the device in a dry environment.
Charge the integrated battery from time to time to main-
tain performance.

Disposal of the device
The adjacent symbol of a crossed-out wheelie
bin means that this device is subject to Directive
2012/19/EU. This directive states that this
device may not be disposed of in normal
household waste at the end of its usable life, but must be
handed over to specially set-up collection locations,
recycling depots or disposal companies.
This disposal is free of charge for the user.
Protect the environment and dispose of this
device properly.
You can obtain further information from your local disposal
company or the city or local authority.

Warranty
The warranty for this appliance is for 3 years from the date
of purchase. The appliance has been manufactured with
care and meticulously examined before delivery.
Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the case
of a warranty claim, please make contact by telephone with
our Customer Service Department. Only in this way can a
post-free despatch for your goods be assured.
NOTE
The warranty covers only claims for material and
manufacturing defects, but not for transport damage,
wearing parts or for damage to fragile components,
e.g. buttons or batteries.
This product is for domestic use only and is not intended for
commercial use. The warranty is void in the case of abusive
and improper handling, use of force and internal tampering
not carried out by our authorised service branch.
Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by this
warranty. The warranty period is not extended by repairs
made under the warranty. This applies also to replaced and
repaired parts.
Damages and defects extant at the time of purchase must
be reported immediately after unpacking, resp. no later than
two days after the date of purchase.
Repairs made after the lapse of the warranty period are
subject to charge.
