TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem Possible cause Solution
The hot air fryer is not working. The appliance is not connected to
the mains.
Plug the mains lead into a socket.
The appliance does not contain a
frying pan.
Place the frying pan in the correct
position.
You have not switched on the
appliance with the power button.
Press the power button on the
appliance.
You didn't set the time. To switch on the appliance, set the
desired cooking time.
The food is not cooked through
enough.
The amount of ingredients is too
large.
Put in smaller amounts of
ingredients. Smaller batches are
fried more evenly.
The set temperature is too low. Press the + temperature setting
button to set the desired
temperature (see chapter "Food
preparation").
The cooking time is too short. Press the timer control button +
for the desired cooking time (see
chapter "Food preparation").
The food is fried unevenly. Some ingredients need to be
shaken halfway through the
preparation.
Ingredients that lie on top of each
other or over each other (e.g.
chips) should be shaken halfway
through cooking. See the table in
the chapter "Food preparation".
The food is not crispy when
removed from the fryer.
You have fried a dish to be
prepared in a traditional deep
fryer.
For crispier results, use oven-safe
dishes or brush the ingredients
lightly with oil.
The fryer cannot be inserted into
the appliance.
There are too many ingredients in
the container.
Do not ll the fryer beyond its
maximum quantity, see table
above.
The basket is not inserted
correctly in the frying container.
Push the basket into the container
until you hear a click.
There is white smoke coming from
the appliance.
You're preparing fatty ingredients. When frying fatty ingredients in a
deep fryer, a large amount of oil
escapes into the container. The oil
produces white smoke and the
container may get hotter than
usual. This does not aect the
appliance or the end result.
The frying pan still contains
residual fat from previous use.
The white smoke is caused by the
heating of the fat in the vessel.
Clean the container properly after
each use.
