FMD Module to Control the Outdoor Fan Speed
The FMD-02 module is designed to set the speed of the DC motor of the outdoor unit fan using the
PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) output of the SCMI-01 unit. The module is built on a printed circuit
board equipped with case and rubber supports and one hole for the fixing screw.
Disconnect the
outdoor unit from the power mains
and remove covers of the outdoor unit. Disconnect the
DC-MOTOR 1
terminal, which connects the fan motor, from the control board of the outdoor unit.
Insert the terminal with red and blue wires into the
DC-MOTOR 1
terminal on the control board and
insert the fan motor terminal into the terminal on the FMD module.
The outdoor fan speed is set remotely using the PWM output of the SCMI-01 control unit. In this case,
you must connect this unit with the FMD-02 module via wiring, which connects the corresponding VE+
and VE- terminals on the SCMI-01 (terminals 11 and 12) unit and FMD-02 module. After that, the
outdoor fan speed can be set by the SCMI-01 control unit as follows:

module. You need to use two
modules FMD-02 for
outdoor units with two fans.
