Ahoy! Welcome to your new Depths™ Optical Vibe Machine! The Depths is our take on the
classic optical vibe circuit. Now you can swab the decks with the same lush, pulsating,
three-dimensional swirling sound you know and love with some modern accouterments
for all you land-lubbers out there.
The Depths is optimized for use with all kinds of instruments, pickups, and to play well
with dirt, so nobody’s left waiting on shore. If it’s got a ¼" output, plug it in and get deep!
In addition to the classic vibe controls, the Depths features unique controls for Voice and
Throb. The Voice control adjusts the midrange focus of the Depths, which is perfect for
tailoring the effect to your particular instrument. Clockwise, you’ll hear a fuller sound with
a low-end focus. Counterclockwise, you’ll hear a thinner, spikier sound with a forward
upper-midrange bite. The Throb knob adds a hefty subharmonic low-end pulse to the
vibrato signal, which is especially useful on synthesizers and the bass guitar. It sounds
great with a little bit of dirt on the neck pickup of a guitar, too! This works best with the
Voice turned counterclockwise for a warmer tone.
The Depths’ Intensity and Rate controls are dialed in to give you the classic optical vibe
sound at more modest settings, but dive in deeper and you’ll nd anything from a smooth
ultra-slow warble to sharp, speedy bursts! Also, the Level control has tons of output
above unity on tap to combat the perceived volume loss of most vibe pedals, so your
tone is always above water. And, if 9v isn’t enough to keep you aoat, the Depths may be
powered at 18v for a stiffer tone with more headroom and sparkle.
The Depths is true-bypass, uses rusty all-analog circuitry, and is built one-at-a-time
aboard the wreckage of the SS Minnow, currently dry-docked in Akron, Ohio, USA.
Controls
Intensity: This controls how subtle or intense the overall effect is. Counterclockwise from
noon are the more subtle, classic sounds. Clockwise from noon are the more drastic and
intense sounds.
Voice: Dials in the overall sound. Turn it clockwise for a fuller sound with more lows, bring
it back for a thinner, more midrange focused tone.
Rate: Controls the speed of the effect. Counterclockwise for slow, clockwise for fast.
Level: Controls the volume of the effect. Unity is around 1 o’clock, everything above that
is boost.
Throb: This controls the low end pulse. It may not be immediately evident on the bridge
pickup, but switch to the neck or add some dirt and it comes alive. All the way up for more
throb, dial it back for less. Works best when the Voice is set to a warmer tone.
Power
This device takes a standard 9-18 volt DC power supply with a 2.1mm negative center
barrel. We always recommend pedal-specic, transformer-isolated wall-wart power
supplies or multiple isolated-output supplies. Pedals will make extra noise if there is
ripple or unclean power. Switching-type power supplies, daisy chains and non-pedal
specic power supplies do not lter dirty power as well and let through unwanted noise.

Flexi-Switch® Technology
This device features Flexi-Switch Technology! This relay-based, true bypass switching
style allows you to simultaneously use momentary and latching-style switching.
• For standard latching operation, tap the footswitch once to activate the effect and
then tap again to bypass.
• For momentary operation, hold the footswitch down for as long as you’d like to use
the effect. Once you release the switch, the effect will be bypassed.
Since the switching is relay-based, it requires power to pass signal.

Stromversorgung
Dieses Gerät sollte mit einem Standard-9V-18V-Netzteil betrieben werden (2,1mm,
center negative). Wir empfehlen immer für Pedale bestimmte, isolierte Netzteile oder
eine Stromversorgung mit mehreren isolierten Anschlüssen. Pedale produzieren
Störgeräusche, wenn sie mit unreinem Strom versorgt werden. Schaltnetzteile,
Daisychains und nicht auf Pedale ausgelegte Netzteile ltern verschmutzten Strom
nicht zufriedenstellend und produzieren ungewollte Störgeräusche. Nicht mit höheren

Controlli

I nostri pedali fanno uso di alimentatori DC standard a 9-18 volt, dotati di connettore barrel
da 2.1mm con polo negativo al centro. Raccomandiamo sempre l’uso di alimentatori
specici per pedali, con trasformatore isolato di tipo da parete, oppure alimentatori con
uscite multiple isolate. I pedali generano rumore extra nel caso in cui l’alimentazione
presenti un’oscillazione residua o sia poco pulita. Gli alimentatori di tipo switching, quelli
per il collegamento a catena oppure gli alimentatori non specici per pedali, non ltrano
l’alimentazione non pulita e lasciano passare rumori indesiderati. Non operare mai con
tensioni più elevate!

En plus des réglages de vibe classiques, la Depths dispose de réglages uniques pour
« Voice » et « Throb ». Le réglage « Voice » joue sur l’accentuation des médiums de
la Depths, ce qui est idéal pour ajuster les effets à votre propre instrument. Dans le
sens horaire, vous entendrez un son plus rond et riche en basses. Dans le sens anti-
horaire, vous aurez un son plus n et plus acéré avec d’avantage de mordant dans les
médiums. Le bouton « Throb » ajoute une épaisse pulsation subharmonique dans les
graves, ce qui est particulièrement efcace pour les synthétiseurs et les basses. Cela

Cette pédale fonctionne avec une alimentation standard 9 V - 18 V CC avec che

tonów niskich, obrót w lewo – cieńsze średnie tony.
Throb: Reguluje rytm tonów niskich. Może nie być od razu widoczne na przetworniku
mostkowym, ale przy przejściu do szyjnego lub dodaniu odrobiny zanieczyszczeń ożywia
się. W górę – więcej rytmu, w dół - mniej. Działa najlepiej, gdy ”Voice” jest ustawiony na
cieplejsze brzmienie.
Intensity: Reguluje jak subtelnie lub intensywnie brzmi całokształt efektu. Obrót w lewo
(od godziny 12) – najbardziej subtelne, klasyczne brzmienia. Obrót w prawo (od godziny
12) – najbardziej drastyczne i intensywne brzmienia.
Rate: Reguluje prędkość efektu. Obrót w lewo – wolno, w prawo - szybko.
Level: Reguluje głośność efektu. Jedność jest około godziny 1, wszystko powyżej będzie

Zasilanie
Nasze pedały korzystają ze standardowego zasilacza 9-18V DC ze złączem 2.1mm
i ujemnym środkiem. Zawsze zalecamy odpowiedni dla pedału adapter izolujący
transformator lub kilka zasilaczy z izolowanym wyjściem. Pedały zrobią dodatkowy
szum, jeżeli ma miejsce tętnienie lub występuje nieczyste zasilanie. Zasilacze typu
przełączniki, połączenia łańcuchowe i zasilacze, które nie są odpowiednie dla pedałów
nie ltrują brudnej energii, jak również przepuszczają niepożądany hałas. Nie należy
uruchamiać przy wyższych napięciach!

To urządzenie bazuje na technologii Flexi-Switch! Jest to przekaźnikowy przełącznik,
true bypass, który pozwala na zastosowanie trybu chwilowego lub standardowe
przełączanie.
• Dla standardowego przełączania, naciśnij przełącznik po zasileniu efektu, a potem
naciśnij ponownie aby go wyłączyć i przejść w tryb bypass.
• Dla chwilowego przełączania, naciśnij i przytrzymaj przełącznik tak długo jak chcesz
używać efektu. Kiedy zwolnisz przełącznik, efekt przejdzie w tryb bypass.

Ahoj! Vítej u své nové mašiny na „vibe“ efekt. Pedál DepthsTM je naší verzí klasického
efektu typu „vibe“ s optoelektronickými obvody. Nyní si můžeš užít stejně svěžího,
pulzujícího a trojrozměrného zvukového víření, jaké znáš a miluješ. K tomu všemu
dostaneš pod ruku také několik moderních funkcí.
Efektový pedál Depths je optimalizován pro použití se všemi druhy nástrojů, snímačů, a
také s efekty zkreslení. Nikdo zkrátka nezůstal čekat na břehu. Pokud to má 1/4“ jackový
výstup, připoj to a vrhni se do hlubin.
Kromě klasických parametrů vibe efektu se Depths vyznačuje také unikátními ovladači
„Voice“ a „Throb“. Pomocí Voice nastavujete důraz v odezvě středového pásma pedálu
Depths. Tato funkce je skvělá pro přizpůsobení zvuku efektu připojenému nástroji.
Otočením směrem doprava dosáhnete plnějšího zvuku s větší odezvou nízkých frekvencí.
Otáčením směrem doleva bude zvuk tenčí s větším podílem „kousavých“ horních středů.
Ovladačem Throb přidáváte do zvuku vibrato efektu „hřmotné“ subharmonické basové
pulzování, které si skvěle rozumí především se zvukem basové kytary či syntezátorů.
Další parametry pedálu Depths – „Intensity“ a „Rate“ – slouží pro dosažení klasického
zvuku optického vibe efektu při mírnějším nastavení. Při troše odvahy se ovšem můžete
„potkat“ s efektem „ultra pomalého švitoření“ i ostřejší zvukové exploze. Ovladač Level
má „ve své kapse“ pořádnou porci výstupní úrovně, a to i nad úrovní čistého signálu.
Depths je tak připraven bojovat s propady hlasitosti, kterými trpí většina pedálů s vibe
efektem. S Depths je totiž váš zvuk vždycky „nad hladinou“. Pokud je vám málo 9V,
Depths je možné napájet také 18V, které z něho dostanou silnější sound s lepší jiskrou
a větším headroomem.
Efektový pedál Depths pracuje s režimem true bypass, využívá plně analogové obvody a
vyráběn je ve vraku S.S. Minnow v americkém Akronu, v Ohiu.
Ovládání
Voice: Denuje celkový zvuk. Otáčením po směru hodinových ručiček dosáhnete
plnějšího zvuku s výraznějším podílem basů. Otáčením doleva tvoříte tenčí zvuk s větším
důrazem na středové pásmo.
Throb: Tento parametr ovládá basové pulzování. Při hře na kobylkový snímač nemusí být
tento efekt zcela zřetelný, ale přepnutím na krkový snímač dojde k jeho výraznějšímu oživení.
Tento parametr nejlépe funguje tehdy, je-li ovladač Voice nastaven na „hřejivější“ zvuk.
Intensity: Tímto ovladačem denujete intenzitu celkového efektu. Otáčením doleva
od středové polohy nastavíte jemnější klasické zvuk, v opačném směru dostanete
intenzivnější a drastičtější zvuky.
Rate: Ovládá rychlost efektu. Otáčením směrem doleva je rychlost nízká, v opačném
směru vysoká.
Level: Nastavení hlasitosti efektu. Jednotná úroveň je okolo 1. hodiny, vše nad touto
polohou už je zesílení.
Napájení
Naše pedály jsou napájeny standardním 9-18V DC adaptérem s konektorem 2,1 mm a
s polaritou mínus na středu. Vždy doporučujeme použití specického napájecího zdroje
či multi-adaptéru s izolovanými výstupy. V případě špatného napájení budou pedály
generovat více šumu. Adaptéry, které neodpovídají specikaci pedálu, nedokáží tak
dobře odltrovat „špinavé“ napětí a propouštějí nežádoucí šum. Neprovozujte pedál při
vyšším napětí.

Technologie Flexi-Switch®
Toto zařízení pracuje s technologií Flexi-Switch! Jedná se o přepínání do režimu bypass
konstruované na bázi relé. Tato technologie ti umožní pracovat s footswitchem jak v režimu
přepínače, tak v režimu spínače.
• V režimu přepínače pro aktivaci efektu nožní přepínač jednou sešlápneš. Pro
přepnutí efektu do bypass režimu ho sešlápneš znovu.
• V režimu spínače je pro aktivaci efektu potřeba footswitch přidržet. Jakmile nožní
spínač uvolníš, efekt se přepne do režimu bypass.
S ohledem na to, že se jedná o přepínání na bázi relé, k procházení signálu je vyžadováno
napájení.
