Introduction

Please make sure you familiarise your-

self fully with the way the device works

before you use it for the ﬁrst time and

that you understand how to handle electrical pow-

er tools correctly. To help you do this please read

the accompanying operating instructions. Keep

these instructions in a safe place. If you pass the

device on to anyone else, please ensure that you

also pass on all the documentation.

Proper use

The table saw is intended for sawing edged work-

pieces of wood and chipboard. Any other use or

modiﬁcation to the machine shall be considered as

improper use and could give rise to considerable

dangers. The manufacturer will not accept liability

for loss or damage arising from improper use. This

machine is approved for private /

non-commercial use only.

J CAUTION! In order to protect yourself from

the danger of electric shock, injury or ﬁre when

using electrical power tools, please observe

the following basic safety precautions. Read all

these requirements before you use the electrical

power tool, and keep the safety advice in a

safe place.

Working safely

1. Keep your working area clean and

tidy.

J A disorderly working area can lead to accidents.

2. Be aware of the effects of the envi-

ronment.

J Do not leave electrical power tools out in the

rain.

J

Do not use electrical power tools in

moist or wet surroundings.

J Ensure that your working area is well lit.

J

Do not use electrical power tools in

areas where there is risk of ﬁre or

explosion.

 Protect yourself from electric

shock.

J Avoid touching earthed objects such as pipes,

heating radiators, ovens or refrigerators with

parts of your body.

4. Keep other people at a safe distance.

J

Do not allow other people, in partic-

ular children, to touch the electrical

power tool or the mains lead.

Keep them away from your working area.

5. Store currently unused electrical

power tools in a safe place.

J When not being used electrical power tools

should be stored in dry conditions in a high or

enclosed place, out of reach of children.

6. Do not overload your electrical pow-

er tool.

J By keeping within the speciﬁed working range

of the tool you will work more safely and

achieve a better result.

7. Use the right electrical power tool

for the task.

J Do not use low-output devices for heavy tasks.

J Do not use an electrical power tool for purposes

for which it was not intended. For example, do

not use a hand operated circular saw for trim-

ming tree branches or cutting logs.

8. Wear suitable clothing.

J Do not wear loose-ﬁtting clothing or jewellery.

They could become caught on moving parts.

J We recommend that you wear anti-slip foot-

wear when working outdoors.

J If you have long hair, wear a hair net.

Use personal protective

equipment.

J Wear protective glasses.

J Wear a dust mask if your work generates

dust.

10. Attaching the vacuum dust extraction

device.

J Where there are connection points provided

for vacuum dust extraction please ensure that

the connections are made and used properly.

Do not use the mains lead

for purposes for which it

was not intended.

J Do not use the mains lead to pull the plug out

of the mains socket. Protect the mains lead

from heat, oil and sharp edges.

12. Securely support the workpiece.

J Use clamps or a vice to grip the workpiece

ﬁrmly. This is much safer than holding it with

your hand.

13. Avoid placing your body in an

unnatural position.

J Keep proper footing and balance at all times.

14. Look after your tools carefully.

J Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. This way

you will work more safely and achieve better

results.

J Follow the advice on tool lubrication and con-

sumables replacement.

J Check the condition of the mains lead on your

electrical power tool regularly and have any

damage repaired by a competent specialist.

J Check the condition of extension leads regu-

larly and replace them if they are damaged.

J Keep handles and hand grips clean, dry and

free of oil and grease.

15. Pull the mains plug out of the mains

socket.

J Do this if the electrical power tool is not being

used, before carrying out maintenance tasks

on the electrical power tool and whenever you

are changing inserted tools, e.g. saw blades,

drills or router bits.

16. Make sure that no spanners, keys

etc. are left attached.

J Check before switching on that all spanners,

keys and setting tools have been removed.

17. Avoid unintentionally starting up

the device.

J Check that the switch is set to OFF on the de-

vice when the mains plug is inserted into the

mains socket.

18. Using an extension lead for working

outdoors.

J When working outside, always use an approved

and appropriately labelled extension lead.

19. Remain alert.

J Watch what you are doing. Proceed with cau-

tion. Do not use electrical power tools if you

cannot concentrate.

20. Check the electrical power tool for

damage.

J Before the electrical power tool is used, care-

fully check the safety equipment and any

slightly damaged parts to see that they are still

working properly.

J Check that all moving parts on the tool are

working properly, can move freely and are not

damaged. All parts must be correctly attached

and fulﬁl all the requirements necessary to allow

the electrical power tool to operate properly.

J Damaged safety equipment and components

must be properly repaired or replaced at a

competent electrical equipment repair centre

unless otherwise indicated in the operating in-

structions.

J Damaged switches must be replaced at a

Customer Service Centre.

J Never use an electrical power tool that cannot

be switched on and oﬀ properly.

21. CAUTION!

J The use of inserted tools and accessories other

than those recommended by the manufacturer

could lead to you being injured.

22. Have your electrical power tool

repaired at an electrical equipment

repair specialist.

J This electrical power tool complies with the

relevant safety regulations. Repairs may only

be carried out by a specialist electrical repair

centre using original spare parts, otherwise

injury could occur to the user.

speciﬁcally to this device

Safety precautions:

J Do not use blunt, cracked, distorted

or damaged saw blades. Saw blades

with blunt or misaligned teeth are in eﬀect too

wide for the designed saw gap and this gives

rise to increased friction, jamming and kickback.

J Always use a saw blade of the correct

size and with the appropriate central

fixing hole bore (e.g. star-shaped or

round). Saw blades that do not correspond

with the attachment components on the saw will

not run true and could lead to loss of control.

J Replace table inserts when worn out.

J Never operate the electrical power

tool without the table insert. Replace a

table insert if it has defects.

J Always use recommended saw

blades complying with EN 847-1.

Note: When changing to a diﬀerent saw

blade make sure that the cutting width is greater

and the stock thickness smaller than the thick-

ness of the riving knife.

J Make sure that you use a saw blade suitable

for the material you are cutting.

J If necessary wear suitable personal protective

clothing.

J Ear protectors reduce the risk of be-

coming hard of hearing in later life.

Breathing or dust masks reduce the

risk of breathing in hazardous dusts.

Wear protective gloves when

handling saw blades and rough

materials.

J Saw blades must be carried in a container

wherever possible.

J Connect a dust collection system to the circular

saw when sawing wood.

J Do not use HSS saw blades (high-alloy high-

speed steel).

J The push stick must always be kept in the vicini-

ty of the machine.

Operating the machine safely:

J Use the push stick to guide the workpiece safely

past the saw blade.

J Use the riving knife and keep it correctly set.

J Use the blade guard and keep it correctly set.

J Do not carry out any rebating or grooving un-

less a suitable guard, such as a tunnel guard,

is attached to the saw table.

J The circular saw must not be used for slotting

(a groove ending in the workpiece).

J Only use saw blades that have a highest per-

missible speed not less than the maximum shaft

speed (rated speed of the table saw and the

workpiece being sawn).

J Transport the machine by the provided handling

points only; do not use the guards to handle or

move the machine.

J The top part of the saw blade must be covered

by the saw blade guard during transport.

J Securing the workpiece. Curved or

round workpieces must be secured against slip-

ping during sawing. If necessary use special

clamps.

J Do not saw any material containing

asbestos. Asbestos is a known carcinogen.

J Take precautions when working with

dusts which may be hazardous to

health, combustible or explosive. For

example: Some dusts are classed as

carcinogenic. Wear a dust mask and use a

dust or chipping extraction device, if one can

be connected.

J Keep your working area clean.

Mixtures of materials can be particularly danger-

ous. Light metal alloy dust may burn or explode.

J Never leave the electric power tool

before it comes to a complete stand-

still. An on-running blade might injure somebody.

J Do not use the electrical power tool if

it has a damaged mains lead. Do not

touch the damaged lead. Pull the

mains plug out of the socket if the

mains lead becomes damaged dur-

ing use. Damaged mains leads increase the

risk of electric shock.

J If you use the electrical power tool

outdoors, always connect it through

a residual current device (RCD).

J Connect the electrical power tool to a

properly earthed power circuit. Sock-

ets and extension leads must have properly

functioning earth contacts.

J Do not stand on the electrical power

tool. Serious injuries could result if the table

tips over or you inadvertently come into con-

tact with the saw blade.

J Ensure that the blade guard is prop-

erly positioned. It must always lie against

the workpiece when you are sawing.

J Keep your hands clear of the saw

blade and away from the area

around the saw. Contact with the saw

blade may result in injury.

J Never reach behind the sawblade to

hold the workpiece, remove sawdust

or for any other reason. Your hand is

too close to the rotating sawblade when you

do this.

J Just guide the workpiece up to the

rotating sawblade. Otherwise there is the

danger of kickback if the saw blade gets

caught in the workpiece.

J Use the electrical power tool only if

the working area is clear of all set-

ting tools, sawdust etc. apart from

the workpiece. Any small pieces of wood

or other objects that come into contact with the

rotating sawblade could strike the operator at

high speed.

J Always saw just one workpiece at a

time. Workpieces placed one above the oth-

er or side by side may jam the sawblade or

slip with respect to one another during sawing.

J Always use the guide fence or the

mitre guide. This will improve the accuracy

of your cut and reduce the risk of the blade

jamming.

J If the saw blade jams or you pause

from your work, switch off the ma-

chine and hold the workpiece still,

until the saw blade has reached a

standstill. Never remove the work-

piece while the saw blade is still ro-

tating, otherwise this may result in

kickback. Determine and rectify the reason

for the saw blade jamming.

J Do not use blunt, cracked, distorted

or damaged saw blades. Saw blades

with blunt or misaligned teeth are in eﬀect too

wide for the designed saw gap and this gives

rise to increased friction, jamming and kickback.

J Always use a saw blade of the correct

size and with the appropriate central

fixing hole bore (e.g. star-shaped or

with the attachment components on the saw will

J Do not touch the saw blade immedi-

ately after sawing. Wait until it has

cooled down. The saw blade gets hot during

sawing.

J Never operate the electrical power

tool without the cover plate

if it is defective. If

the cover plate

is defective it may result in

you injuring yourself on the saw blade.

Original accessories / attach-

ments

J Use only the accessories and attachments de-

tailed in the operating instructions. The use of

inserted tools or accessories other than those

recommended in the operating instructions

could lead to you suﬀering an injury.

Preparing the device for use

Preparation

j You will need the following materials not in-

cluded in the supplied items and accessories to

operate the saw:

- Table or workbench with a solid working

surface in order to support the device

Personal protective equipment:

wear this to protect your ears,

eyes, mouth, nose and hands,

and if necessary a hairnet to protect long

hair.

- Wear close-ﬁtting clothing and non-slip

footwear

- Special dust extraction vacuum (approved

for use for dust extraction) or device for

sawdust extraction

- Narrow and thick brushes or compressed

air cleaner

- Folding rule or measuring callipers for

measurement

- Make sure that the machine and table are

supported in a safe manner. The machine

must be set up on a robust table or work-

bench with a solid working surface.

Integrated safety devices

Always observe the following advice on the safety

devices ﬁtted to the table saw. Failure to do this

could lead to serious injury or damage to property.

Riving knife

The riving knife

ﬁtted behind the saw blade

prevents the workpiece from being picked up and

thrown by the rising teeth to strike the operator.

Whilst you are using the saw, the riving knife

must always be in place (see warning label on the

machine).

Blade guard

The Blade guard

must be in place whenever

you operate the saw.

Push stick

The supplied push stick

serves as an extension

to your hand when feeding the workpiece into the

saw (for use see ﬁg. F).

Always use the push stick

Safety ON / OFF switch with AUTO-OFF

The switch operates using an integrated low volt-

age relay. This means that the machine cannot

come on again automatically after a power supply

failure. The machine must be restarted using the

ON / OFF switch

. The machine can be

switched oﬀ immediately by pressing down the

switch cover.

Overload switch / overload protection

(Reset

) (Fig. H)

If the machine is overloaded, the protection mecha-

nism automatically switches the machine oﬀ.

The machine can only be switched back on again

by ﬁrst pressing the reset switch

and then the

ON / OFF switch

j If there is still an overloading problem, check

whether:

- very hard wood was being sawn too quick-

ly (feed speed)

- there has been a drop in speed / a rise in

power consumption

- very moist wood was being sawn (high

braking eﬀect)

- the machine is choked with saw dust

- the saw blade is blunt

Vacuum dust extraction connection

j If you are working in an enclosed space you

must use a suitable vacuum dust extraction de-

vice (see Fig. F). If you are not working with a

vacuum dust extraction device then the dust

will collect inside the housing and must be re-

moved after 30 minutes of operation (maximum).

j You can connect the vacuum dust extraction

device to the vacuum dust extraction connection

or the vacuum dust extraction connection

or to both, as you like.

j Connect a special vacuum extraction device or

a sawdust extraction system to the vacuum dust

extraction connection

and / or vacuum dust

extraction connection

j Use the appropriate extraction adapters

and

(see Fig. B).

Assembly

j Attach the blade guard

to the riving knife

. The underside of the blade guard

must

be horizontal and lie ﬂat on the saw table

Operation

WARNING!

The voltage must agree with that

shown on the machine rating plate (equipment shown

as 230 V can also be connected to 220 V). The

electrical circuit must be ﬁtted with 16 A protection.

Blade height adjustment:

The table saw has a patented

scissors-type height adjustment

mechanism. This allows the height

to be set precisely.

j Set the blade height (cutting depth) by turning

the hand wheel

Setting the blade angle:

j Release the safety lock thumb knob

j Set the inclination angle of the saw blade

using the blade angle adjustment thumb knob

to any angle between 0° and 45°. The

desired angle can be read oﬀ the blade angle

scale

. Tighten the safety lock thumb knob

CAUTION: Be sure to ﬁx / secure the

again after each change

of angle setting.

Switching on and oﬀ

The table saw has a soft start system.

This produces a short

delay when the ma-

chine starts.

To switch on:

j Press the green switch I of the ON / OFF

switch

Switching off the device:

j Press the green switch 0 of the ON / OFF

switch

Emergency switch off:

j Press the cover of the ON / OFF switch

closed.

Unlocking the ON / OFF switch cover:

j Slide the emergency knob upwards and ﬂip

the ON / OFF cover upwards.

Attach the guide fence

by hooking it

on to both sides of the saw table

and pressing the handle downwards.

“HIGH” setting (see Fig. N):

j Attach the guide fence attachment

with its

broader side to the guide fence

Set the desired cutting width on the centimetre

scale “High”.

“LOW” setting (see Fig. N):

j Attach the guide fence attachment

with the

narrower side to the guide fence

Set the desired cutting width on the centimetre

scale “Low”.

Note: Use the mitre guide

only when fully in-

stalled (with the guide rails). Slide the mitre guide

from the front into the groove

in the saw

table

. The angle can be set to ± 60° by loosen-

ing the mitre guide handle

Angle stop:

With the three stops

you can set at angles of

± 90° / ± 45° using the angle stop

(see Fig. L).

Sawing

Straight cut:

j First set the required blade height.

j You can set the inclination angle if required.

j Attach the guide fence

j Sawing a long workpiece (≥ 2.5 m) needs

careful planning in advance. Work on long

workpieces should be carried out together with

a second person who is experienced and

knows how to use the saw. This person is there

to hold and support the workpiece. Ensure that

the second person is also wearing all the rec-

ommended protective clothing.

j Switch on the machine as described above.

j Push the workpiece evenly in the direction of

the saw blade

(see Fig. F). Saw the work-

piece in one complete sawing operation.

Use the push stick

if the distance between

the guide fence

and the saw blade

≤ 120mm.

j Switch oﬀ the machine immediately if you are

not going to continue to use it.

Mitred cuts:

j Set the required blade height.

j You can set the angle if required.

j Attach the mitre guide.

j First slide the mitre guide

into the groove

j Loosen the handle of the mitre guide using the

clamping screw

, set the desired angle and

retighten the handle of the mitre guide using

the clamping screw

j Press the workpiece against the mitre guide

j Switch on the machine as described above.

j Slide the mitre guide

evenly forward, see

ﬁg. G. Saw the workpiece in one operation.

j Switch oﬀ the machine immediately if you are

not going to continue to use it.

Setting the riving knife

WARNING!

The riving knife

is one of

the integrated safety devices and must always be

correctly installed. The distance between the outside

edge of the saw blade

and the riving knife

must be between 3 and 5 mm (see Fig. I).

j Turn the blade height adjustment wheel

raise the saw blade

fully and incline the

saw blade

at 45° using the blade angle

adjustment thumb knob

. Take oﬀ the blade

guard

j Remove the table insert

To do this, unscrew the two screws using a

cross-head screwdriver.

j Unscrew the ﬁttings on the cover plate

and

swing the plate away. To do this it is necessary

to set the saw blade

inclination back to 0°.

upwards using the ad-

justment wheel

and incline it by 45° using

the blade angle adjustment thumb knob

j Take oﬀ the blade guard

j Remove the table insert

. To do this, unscrew

the two screws using a cross-head screwdriver.

j Unscrew the ﬁttings on cover plate

to the

saw blade

and swing the plate away.

j Hold the saw blade

in position with the

counter key

and slacken the clamping screw

with the supplied combi-tool

and Fig. M. Remove the clamping ﬂange

j Remove the saw blade

j Clean the clamping surfaces.

j Place the new saw blade in position.

Only suitable saw blades are to be used.

Take note of the direction of rotation and the

correctly installed position of the saw blade.

Saw blades must be mounted properly. Ensure

that they are balanced, rotate smoothly and

cannot come loose.

Piła tarczowa stołowa nadaje się do piłowania

kanciastych przedmiotów obrabianych z drewna

litego i płyt wiórowych. Każde inne zastosowanie
