Instructions for charging:
źFor batteries with cell closures, remove the cell
closures and check out the status of the battery
charging. If the electrolyte level is below the
recommended level, add distilled water.
źFor batteries without cell closures, carefully follow
the manufacturer's charging instructions.
źMake sure that the vehicle's ignition is switched off
(if the accumulator is connected in the vehicle).
źConnect the charger, always follow these steps:
źInsert the positive clamp of the charger (red) to the
positive (+) terminal of the accumulator.
źConnect the negative clamp of the charger (black)
to the negative (-) terminal of the accumulator.
źPlug the 230V plug into the mains.
źThe charger begins to analyze the car battery, it
takes about 10 seconds.
źThe charger automatically detects if a 6V or 12V
accumulator is connected. (The charging voltage
can be preset, using the [6 / 12V] button.) The
selected mode shows on the display.
źFor setting the charging level (effective charging
current) use [AMPS] button. Each press switches to
next step starting on 2A / 4A / 5.5 A. Selected
charging current shows on the display. Charging
current can be switched during charging.
źThe current battery voltage is shown on the display.
źThe blinking battery symbol on the display indicates
the charging process.
źAfter charging the battery, the charger automatically
switches to maintenance mode in which the
microprocessor delivers targeted charging without
overcharging or damaging the battery.
źUse the [R.F] key to activate the Re-Fresh function
to restore (rejuvenate) the battery via controlled
pulses (desulphation).
źAlways disconnect the charger from the 230V
mains and after then from the accumulator after
charging.
źIf you have opened the battery cell closures, you
must close them again.
ź
Re-Fresh function
If the battery is left drained for a long time (hours to
days), lead sulfate is formed on the electrodes (so-
called sulphation). As a result, the usable capacity of
the battery gradually decreases.
With Re-Fresh, the pulse of a certain frequency,
shape and amplitude can gradually recover lost
battery capacity.
Connect the battery to the charger, connect the
charger to the 230V socket. Use the [R-F] key to
activate the Re-Fresh function. The display shows the
--- V symbol indicating the desulphation mode.
In order to restore the battery function, you must keep
the charger in Re-Fresh mode for at least 24 hours.
For batteries that are not subject to frequent use, we
recommend this mode 4-5 times a year.
Error Codes:
Wrong connection - the clamps
are connected incorrectly.
The connection was interrupted
during the charging process.
There is no 6V or 12V battery
connected.
Warning:
Heavily discharged and damaged car batteries can
not be charged by using this charger. If the 12V car
battery voltage drops below 8V, the microprocessor in
the charger will mark the battery as damaged and will
not charge it!
If the 12V car battery voltage drops below an
acceptable level, the charger can evaluate this car
battery as 6V and will not charge it properly!
The manufacturer does not take responsibility for
accidents or damages resulting from non-compliance
with this manual.
Changes in text, design, and technical specifications
could be changed without previous warning and we
reserve the right to change them.
Disposal and recycling
Do not dispose power tools and devices into the
household waste!
According to European Directive 2012/19 / EC on
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)
and in the enforcement of national law, used power
tools must be collected separately and shipped to an
appropriate recycling plant.
