Programming your cat flap

Press and hold the 'Add a Pet' button for

1 second. The light will flash red and the

catch will drop. The cat flap is now ready

to learn your cat's microchip.

Encourage your pet to put its head into

the tunnel of the cat flap. The catch will

raise (this can be heard) once the pet's

microchip is recognised. Repeat this

procedure separately for all pets using

the cat flap, do not try to add multiple

pets at once.

WARNING:

This product is intended for use by domestic pets only.

Do not use this product if parts are missing, damaged or worn.

• Your Microchip Cat Flap (SUR001) is not a toy. Do not allow children to play with the product.

• Your SUR001 includes some small components. To avoid the risk of choking, take care to keep

any loose parts away from young children or pets and dispose of all packaging appropriately.

CHILD PROOFING: In households with young children, you must include the SUR001 in

childproofing considerations. Misuse of this product by a child may result in persons coming into

contact with potential dangers. Young children should be monitored at all times when in the vicinity

of the SUR001.

BATTERIES: The SUR001 requires 4 good quality 1.5 V LR6 alkaline “AA” cells to operate.

The product is not designed for use with rechargeable batteries.

• Always change all 4 batteries at the same time and avoid mixing battery types or manufacturers.

• To insert or change the batteries, remove the battery compartment cover on the front of the

product to access the battery compartment.

• Make sure the +/- symbols on the batteries match the symbols on the SUR001.

• Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.

• To avoid the risk of fire, always take care to make sure the batteries are installed the correct way

round as marked on the SUR001 and never short circuit the battery terminals.

• If the batteries are exhausted, or there is a problem with how they have been inserted, the light

adjacent to the battery compartment will flash red every 5 seconds as a low battery indication.

• There is a risk of explosion if a battery is replaced with an incorrect type. Always use good quality

batteries from a reputable manufacturer to be sure of the best performance.

Exhausted or out-of-date batteries must be removed and disposed of properly in accordance with

local legislation.

If the appliance is to be stored unused for a long period, the batteries must be removed.

In case of battery leaks, wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to protect yourself

from any exposure to harmful chemicals before disposing of the batteries and cleaning any spillage.

When cleaning up a spillage, avoid contact with skin, eyes or any risk of ingestion. Contact a medical

professional immediately if this should occur.

Use only approved Sure Petcare accessories and spare parts with your SUR001.

• Clean the unit with pet-friendly cleaning products and a damp cloth only. Do not immerse the

unit in water.

PETS: Sure Petcare recommends the SUR001 is used with your pet's implanted microchip, however

it may also be operated using the Sure Petcare RFID Collar Tag. If using a collar tag, it must be with

a safety collar which incorporates a breakaway buckle. Sure Petcare cannot accept liability for any

injury or death caused by a pet's collar.

Custom soware settings are available from customer support to alleviate most unwanted pet

Fitting your cat flap in a wooden

or plastic door

INSTALLATION: Installing into a metal door or brick wall?

The steps in this printed manual are not suitable for installations into metal

doors or walls. Do not install the cat flap in a fire door as it will render it unfit

for purpose.

Do not under any circumstances drill or cut the tunnel of the cat flap.

To be sure your cat has unhindered access through the cat flap,

measure the height from their tummy to the floor. Mark this height

on your door, as this is where the bottom of the hole should be cut

through the door.

Stick the external frame to the door using the mark you made for

the height of your cat's tummy to align the bottom edge of the hole.

Use a spirit level to make sure the frame is level and then run a sharp

pencil around the inside edge of the frame.

Prepare for cutting. We strongly advise that you drill large holes

in all corners of the outline to make it easier to cut with a jigsaw.

Make sure these holes are touching the line and they are large

enough for the blade of the jigsaw to fit through.

Using the jigsaw, cut around the outer edge of the line you have

marked. By doing this, the cat flap should fit through the hole first

time. However, if you cut on or inside the line, the hole is likely to be

too small. If this is the case, take the time to carefully file the hole

until the cat flap fits through easily.

Now check that the cat flap fits through the hole. Remember,

the SureFlap logo must be inside the house. We advise that you

have 2 people for this, 1 inside the house and 1 outside the house,

to help hold the product firmly in place.

On the outside of the house, make sure the tunnel of the cat flap is

securely pushed through the hole and then slide the external frame

over it. When the external frame is in place, using a sharp pencil,

mark through the 2 holes on to the door.

Remove the external frame and the cat flap from the door then drill

the two screw holes using a 6mm (") drill bit, remembering to hold

the drill horizontally. We recommend that you choose the correct

length of screw to attach the cat flap to your door at this stage.

15 to 30mm To choose the correct length of screw, from the sets provided you

need to compare the screw lengths to the thickness of your door.

The screw needs to be between 15 to 30mm ( to 1 ") longer

than the thickness of your door.

Put the cat flap back through the door and slide the external frame

over the tunnel. Holding the product firmly in place, use a cross

head screwdriver and the screws you selected previously, to attach

the external frame. Fasten the first screw until it is secure, but not

too tight, then do the same to the last one. Once all the screws are

secure, tighten them.

10 Now, insert the two screw caps into the external frame.

Warranty and disclaimer

Warranty: The SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap carries a 3-year warranty from the date of purchase,

subject to proof of purchase date. The warranty is restricted to any fault caused by defective

materials, components or manufacture. This warranty does not apply to products whose defect

has been caused by normal wear and tear, misuse, neglect or intentional damage.

In the event of a part failure due to faulty parts or workmanship, the part will be replaced free of

charge during the warranty period only. At the manufacturer's discretion, a replacement part may

be provided free of charge in the case of a more serious malfunction.

If you are a resident of a jurisdiction with consumer protection laws and regulations that contain

provisions that are more beneficial to you than the terms of this warranty, such laws and regulations

shall supersede the terms of this warranty.

• Achten Sie zur Vermeidung von Brandgefahr stets darauf, dass die Batterien entsprechend der Markierung

an der SUR001 richtig herum eingesetzt und die Batteriepole niemals kurzgeschlossen werden.

• Sind die Batterien aufgebraucht oder wurden sie nicht ordnungsgemäß eingesetzt, leuchtet die LED neben

dem Batteriefach alle 5 Sekunden rot auf, um einen niedrigen Batteriestand anzuzeigen.

• Wird die Batterie durch eine Batterie des falschen Typs ersetzt, besteht Explosionsgefahr. Verwenden Sie

stets Batterien guter Qualität von einem renommierten Batteriehersteller, um eine optimale Leistung zu

ist nicht zulässig, da diese dadurch unbrauchbar wird.

Damit Ihre Katze ungehinderten Zugang durch die Katzenklappe hat, messen

Sie zunächst die Höhe von ihrem Bauch bis zum Boden. Markieren Sie diese

in ihrer Tür, da die Önung der Tür diese Höhe haben sollte.

Kleben Sie den Außenrahmen an die Tür mit der Höhenmarkierung ab dem

Bauch Ihrer Katze und richten Sie die Unterkante der Bohrung danach aus.

Verwenden Sie eine Wasserwaage, um sicherzustellen, dass der Rahmen

waagerecht ist, und führen Sie dann einen spitzen Bleisti an der Innenkante

des Rahmens entlang.

Vorbereitung zum Schneiden. Wir raten Ihnen, unbedingt große Bohrungen

in allen Ecken des Umrisses vorzunehmen, sodass Sie die Schnitte mit der

Stichsäge leichter ausführen können. Stellen Sie sicher, dass diese Bohrungen

die Linie berühren und groß genug sind, um das Stichsägeblatt passieren

zu lassen.

Prüfen Sie nun, ob die Katzenklappe durch die Önung passt. Denken Sie

daran, dass sich das SureFlap-Logo im Inneren des Hauses befinden muss.

Um die Vorrichtung korrekt einzupassen, empfehlen wir Ihnen, zu zweit zu

arbeiten – jeweils eine Person im Haus und die andere außerhalb.

Vergewissern Sie sich an der Hausaußenseite, dass der Tunnel der

Katzenklappe sicher durch die Önung geschoben werden kann. Schieben Sie

anschließend den Außenrahmen darüber. Wenn der Außenrahmen eingepasst

ist, markieren Sie mit einem spitzen Bleisti zwei Löcher in der Tür.

Entfernen Sie die den Außenrahmen der Katzenklappe von der Tür und

bohren Sie dann die beiden Schraubenlöcher mit einem 6mm-Bohrer ("),

den Sie unbedingt waagerecht halten sollten. Wir empfehlen Ihnen in diesem

Stadium die Verwendung einer Schraube in der für den Einbau in die Tür

geeigneten Länge.

15 bis 30 mm

Um die richtige Schraubenlänge aus den mitgelieferten Sets auszuwählen,

müssen Sie die diese mit der Dicke Ihrer Tür vergleichen. Die Schraube muss

zwischen 15 und 30 mm ( bis 1 ") länger sein als die Stärke der Tür.

Stecken Sie die Katzenklappe erneut durch die Tür und setzen Sie den

Außenrahmen über dem Tunnel wieder ein. Halten Sie das Produkt in

Position und bringen Sie mit einem Kreuzschlitz-Schraubendreher und

den ausgewählten Schrauben den Außenrahmen an. Ziehen Sie die erste

Schrauben fest, bis der Rahmen fest, aber nicht zu fest sitzt, und wiederholen

Sie den Vorgang bei den anderen Schrauben. Sobald alle Schrauben korrekt

eingebracht wurden, ziehen Sie sie fest.

des Herstellers, kostenlos ein Ersatzteil zur Verfügung zu stellen.

Falls Sie Ihren Wohnsitz in einem Land haben, in dem Verbraucherschutzgesetze und -vorschrien gelten,

die für Sie vorteilhaere Bestimmungen enthalten als die Bestimmungen dieser Garantie, haben diese Gesetze

und Vorschrien Vorrang vor den Bestimmungen dieser Garantie.

Haungsausschluss: Die SureFlap Microchip Katzenklappe verfügt über spezielle Zugangselemente, die das

las pilas.

En caso de fugas de pilas, utilice prendas y accesorios protectores al manipularlas y limpiar derrames,

para evitar la exposición a sustancias químicas perniciosas. Al limpiar derrames, evite que la sustancia

entre en contacto con la piel, los ojos o la boca. En caso de que ocurriese, solicite atención médica

inmediatamente.

Utilice únicamente accesorios y piezas de repuesto Sure Petcare aprobados con SUR001.

• Limpie la unidad únicamente con productos de limpieza para mascotas y un paño húmedo.

No sumerja la unidad en agua.

MASCOTAS: Sure Petcare recomienda utilizar SUR001 con el microchip implantado en su mascota,

pero también se puede usar con la placa de identificación mediante radiofrecuencia Sure Petcare.

Para asegurar que el gato pueda atravesar sin problemas la gatera,

mida la altura entre la tripa del gato y el suelo. Marque dicha altura

en la puerta: corresponderá a la parte inferior del agujero que abrirá

en ella.

Acople el marco externo a la puerta guiándose por la marca de la

altura de la tripa de su gato, para alinear el borde inferior del agujero.

Utilice un nivel para asegurarse de que el marco está nivelado y trace

un contorno con un lápiz afilado en el borde interior del marco.

Prepárese para cortar el agujero. Es muy aconsejable taladrar orificios

grandes en todas las esquinas del contorno, para facilitar la acción

de la sierra. Los orificios deben tocar la línea y ser lo suficientemente

grandes para que pase por ellos la hoja de la sierra.

Corte con la sierra alrededor del borde exterior de la línea marcada.

Siguiendo ese procedimiento, la gatera debería encajar en el agujero

en el primer intento. Si hace el corte sobre la línea o en la parte interior

de esta, es probable que el agujero sea demasiado pequeño. De ser así,

lime con cuidado el agujero hasta que la gatera encaje fácilmente.

Compruebe si la gatera cabe en el agujero. Recuerde que el logotipo

de SureFlap debe quedar dentro de la casa. Es aconsejable realizar

este paso entre dos personas (una dentro de la casa y la otra fuera)

para sostener el producto firmemente en su sitio.

En el exterior, asegúrese de que el túnel de la gatera está bien

insertado en el agujero y luego deslice el marco externo sobre el túnel.

Cuando el marco externo esté colocado, utilice un lápiz afilado para

marcar 2 orificios en la puerta.

Quite de la puerta el marco externo y la gatera y taladre los dos

orificios para los tornillos, con una broca de 6 mm ("). Debe sujetar

el taladro horizontalmente. Es aconsejable elegir cuidadosamente

la longitud de los tornillo para acoplar la gatera a la puerta.

15 a 30 mm

Para elegir la longitud de tornillo correcta debe comparar las piezas

suministradas con el grosor de la puerta. Los tornillos utilizados deben

tener de 15 a 30 mm (" a 1 ") más que el grosor de la puerta.

Vuelva a insertar la gatera en la puerta y deslice el marco externo

en el túnel. Sosteniendo el producto firmemente en su sitio, use un

destornillador de cruz y los tornillos que seleccionó previamente para

fijar el marco externo. Apriete el primer tornillo hasta que esté seguro,

pero no demasiado apretado, luego haga lo mismo hasta el último.

Cuando estén los dos asegurados, puede apretarlos debidamente.

10 Ahora, inserte los dos embellecedores para tornillos en el

marco externo.
