STEAM IRONING
1. Fill the water tank, as described before initial usage.
2. Steam ironing can be used in the temperature ranges ●●, ●●● MAX. For the reliable functioning of the steam
ironing, the water tank must be at least ¼ filled.
3. Select the setting on the temperature regulator.
4. When the indicator light goes off, the required temperature is reached. The iron is ready for use.
5. Set the steam control knob to position “ ” for steam ironing; steam starts coming out from the holes in
the soleplate while ironing.
6. The iron surface must always be kept in an upright position.
7. To turn off, turn the temperature regulator counter-clockwise to “OFF” and pull out the power plug.
8. Turn the appliance upside down and carefully pour the remaining water out of the water tank. Carefully
shake the appliance.
Notice: With conventional steam ironing, water may leak from the soleplate if a too low temperature has been
selected. If this happens, turn the temperature regulator to the advised position. Steam will recommence as soon
as the appropriate temperature has been reached.
AUTOMATIC ELECTRICITY INTERRUPTION FOR SECURITY
In case the installed thermostat gets out of order, the appliance will be automatically cut off to avoid the
overheating. If this happens, send the appliance for repair.
SELF-CLEAN FUNCTION
According to frequency of use it is recommended that you should monthly clean the steam iron - this will increase
the steam iron’s life span.
If the water is very hard in your area, use the self-clean function every two weeks.
1. Make sure the appliance is unplugged.
2. Fill the water tank to maximum level.
3. Select the maximum ironing temperature.
4. Put the plug in the wall socket.
5. Unplug the iron when the temperature indicator light goes off.
6. Hold the iron over the sink, turn and hold the steam control knob to position “self-clean”, and gently shake
the iron to and fro. (Steam and boiling water will come out of the soleplate. Impurities and flakes (if any) will
be flushed out).
7. Repeat the self-clean process if the iron still contains a lot of impurities.
CLEANING
⚫ Before cleaning the iron ensure it is disconnected from the power supply and has completely cooled down.
⚫ Deposits on the soleplate may be removed with a rough cloth soaked in a vinegar water solution.
⚫ The casting may be wiped with a damp cloth and then polished with a dry one.
⚫ Do not use abrasives on the soleplate.
⚫ Keep the soleplate smooth. Avoid hard contact with metal objects.
