SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please read carefully and keep for future reference.
Warning: The safety measures and instructions contained in this manual do not include all potential conditions
and scenarios. The user must understand that common sense, caution and care are factors that cannot be
integrated into aproduct. Therefore, the user is responsible for these factors when using and operating this
appliance. We are not liable for any damages caused during shipping, by incorrect use, voltage uctuation or
the modi cation or adjustment of any part of the appliance.
To prevent re or risk of electric shock, you should maintain basic precautions when using electrical appliances,
including the following:
1. Make sure the voltage in your outlet corresponds to the voltage provided on the appliance label and that
the socket is correctly grounded. The outlet must be installed according to valid safety instructions.
2. Do not operate device with adamaged cord. All repairs or adjustments including cord replacements
shall be performed by aprofessional service centre! Do not remove the protective covers from the
appliance; there is arisk of electric shock!
3. Protect the appliance against direct contact with water and other liquids, to prevent potential electric
shock. Do not immerse cord or plug in water!
4. Do not use the appliance in places, where agas leak or acontact with an explosive atmosphere could
occur. Do not touch the cord or device with wet hands. Risk of electric shock.
5. The power cord must remain accessible once the device is installed. Do not shorten the cable nor use
adapters in electrical outlets. Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces or lead the cord over sharp edges.
6. Do not turn the appliance on or o by plugging or unplugging the power cord. Do not remove the power
cord from the outlet by yanking the cord. Unplug the power cord from the outlet by grasping the plug.
7. Do not insert any objects into the device, do not place any objects on the device (e.g. vases, cups, etc.).
Never cover the ventilation openings!
8. Do not use in the appliance other electrical devices and refrigeration equipment.
9. If this appliance is replacing an old product equipped with alock, destroy the lock of the old appliance, so
that children would not lock themselves in (e.g. during aplay).
10. Do not use mechanical devices or other unnatural means to speed up the defrosting. Do not use electrical
appliances in the space designed to store foods. Protect the cooling circuit of the appliance against
damage.
11. Do not use metal objects to remove the ice from the freezer, because they could damage the cooling
circuits and cause irreparable damage to the appliance. If necessary, use aplastic scraper.
12. Do not store in this appliance explosive substances like e.g. sprays with propellant.
13. Do not place containers with liquids (glass jars or tin cans) in the freezer. The container could burst.
14. When you store bottles containing liquids with high content of alcohol, they must be properly closed and
in vertical position.
15. Do not expose the appliance to direct sunlight, do not use it outside and do not expose it to rain.
16. Do not touch the cooling surfaces with wet hands. You could risk injury or burns.
17. Do not eat the ice removed from the freezer.
18. This appliance is intended for household use and similar areas, such as:
– kitchenettes in shops, o ces and other work places
– by guests in hotels, motels and other residential areas
– in bed and breakfast establishments
– Appliances used in cafeterias and other similar non commercial environments.
19. This appliance can be used by children aged eight and older and by the physically and mentally impaired
or by individuals with insu cient experience and knowledge, if supervised or trained to use the appliance
in asafe manner and understand potential dangers. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning
and maintenance operations must not be carried out by children unless supervised by an adult. Children
under the age of 8 shall keep away from the appliance and its power supply.
20. The manufacturer is not liable for damages caused by improper grounding/use.
